Part 16 - Achfary to Kinlochbervie
Cold and rainy night but in the morning we got some sunshine and a chill wind.
So at least a quick dry of our gear before we started walking, we heard that the north side of Loch stack was waterlogged, so we decided to make it not to hard on ourselves and went around the south side and got back on track at Loch Stack Lodge. Good choice because the section after that towards the loch and at Loch a Garbh-Bhaid Mor and Beag was a muddy mess and really hard going
Sun and rain competed with each other for domination, and we where just getting things on and of all the time great fun.
Few good long coffee breaks and some small river crossings brought us at Rhiconich where we hoped for a cup of tea in the hotel. But the owner rushed outside before we where even near and chased us away guest only he shouted even before we could even ask anything. How charming
A very long and grueling road walk awaited us to Kinlochbervie no fun and rain coming in.
So we where glad to get into Kinlochbervie finally , first we visited the Spar and got some snakcs and drinks before we found the Kinlochbervie Hotel (more walking) once there we talked with the owners and we were allowed to camp in the garden. So beers foor music and not to far from our sleeping spots great stuff. Kinlochbervie looked very run down it had better glory days it seems.
