Love Max, and it’s a painful departure, but I’ve figured that he would be gone since last year when they’d talk and never reach an extension agreement. I agree that the financial picture and other needs determined and reinforced this outcome. I’m looking forward to seeing those prospect get seasoned and ready to step into the rotation! I’d love more Braves content. I cannot seem to get enough…
I think the Braves will see another Schwellenbach type rise from at least one of their prospects in 2025. Which is exciting. I have a video about Arcia/SS almost done along with atleast one more Braves offseason video :) Thank you for your support!
I really like Fried, and, this may be a little biased, but I do think he would fit well in Philadelphia if Dave would decide to go for him over someone else, although the Phillies are in a similar pitching depth situation as the Braves.
I think the Phillies have the same problem as the Braves in that Frieds not the difference in them making or missing the playoffs since their rotation is already so stacked. Fried would probably slot in as their 4 guy behind Nola but that also bumps Ranger Suarez to being the 5th starter. The Phillies would be better off spending that 25ish million dollars a year on a solid outfielder besides Marsh. They only paid Ranger $5M in 2024 (Arbitration). Not to mention they are gonna need money to pay Marsh, Bohm, and Stott very soon and like the Braves, the Phillies are already spending near or above the luxury tax almost every year and teams do not like staying above that for consecutive years as the plentys increase when you do. Tldr: Im sure the Phillies would love Fried, but hes very expensive if youre just gonna stick him in the backend of your rotation.
Yeah this is another tough one for Braves fans. 3 of the big time guys from their 2021 World Series only 3 years ago are gone in Freddie, Dansby, and now more than likely Max. But the rotations still STACKED.

Glad yall won last year tbh yall deserve one. If I had to make a guess Id guess Max goes to the Dodgers.

Astros angels cubs pirates reds or Phillies Mets n Yanks also a possibility
Yup lots of teams who need Max more than Atlanta and can spend more.
Sign with the Dodgers
I see them as the favorites rn.
Sign with Los Angeles
He is from Santa Monica so I think its likely he goes to LA. Which LA btw? Im assuming the Dodgers?
Buehler also signs with the Orioles for 23m p/yr for next 3yrs.
I think Buehler gets less than that but I could see him going to Baltimore for sure
Freid will sign with the Orioles for 6yrs 175million.
Good prediction! I think itll take a little less to sign Max but its certainly possible!
Be careful he might come to LA Angels his favorite catcher is in Anaheim plus the coaches
Agreed. He also is from that area and the Angels have the need and money to spend.
