Question: do you improvise all your licks on the fly, or do you ever work out specific licks in advance, for instance for your demo intro pieces?
That was my REVV G20 direct into Pro Tools. I was using the gain channel with the Revv G2 as a boost. The pickups are the stock noise-canceling single coils that come in the Fender Ultra guitars. The humbucker is a Shaw Bucker which is also stock on that guitar.
@@sigsfast I have the same thing in SSS with the rosewood neck, except mine is the new American pro 2, I think I prefer it to the Ultra and its a bit cheaper too!
@@sigsfast I slightly prefer the sound of the pickups, and I like the older school bridge saddles too. There's not much in it to be honest. The pro is a stunning guitar!

@@ShawnTubbs haha Im glad you brought this up,its not only the lick its the sound the feel that you give it.This is why I cant play cover songs I get so involved in trying to capture the exact solo sound feel.Your playing is awesome and the sound you make is awesome trying to capture that is impossible because of your genuine technique so yeah 7 months just to get into the ball park.Great playing as always.
@@MrCgar18 Just make it your own! There are so many guitar players that I highly admire and wish I could sound like from Ian Thornley and Steve Morse to SRV and Jimi Hendrix. I'll never have the technique to run with those guys, living and in the past but I'm inspired by them so I take what I hear and make it my own.

It's a good strat but it's not mine. It actually belongs to Derek Eastveld from REVV.
