    Sariska Tiger Reserve or Sariska National Park is one of the biggest and most renowned Tiger reserve in Northern India. The park is located in the Alwar district of Rajasthan, which is about 108 km from Jaipur and about 200 km from capital state Delhi.Once considered one of the famous and former hunting grounds of the Maharajas of Alwar, today the Sariska National Park is a major wildlife tourist
    attraction that has drawn the attention of many wildlife Enthusiasts & photographers.
    Sariska Tiger Reserve is a national park where you will find a perfect intermingling of nature. It contains mountains, grasslands, dry deciduous forests and cliffs which span over 800 square kilometres. Situated in Alwar, the Tiger Reserve is nestled in the lap of Aravali hills. Currently home to numerous animals
    apart from tigers, the reserve showcases nature in its best form. Animals like jungle cats, rhesus macaque,sambhar, chital, wild boar, etc., are found here. Not only animals, you get to see a number of bird species, such as sand grouse, harbor quails, crested serpent eagles, etc. here as well.
    When you go on a jeep safari at Sariska tiger reserve, you can spot beautiful animals going about their day, especially tigers. Not only this, you can visit the Kankwadi fort, a place that could also be visited only by jeep safari. You also get to go bird watching while on the safari as the reserve is home to more than 220 species of birds with migratory birds from Europe, Central Asia, and other regions. Going on a safari can prove to be highly enjoyable if you go in groups as it would add an entirely different level of fun quotient to the trip.
    Pandupol is a scenic tourist spot in Sariska Tiger Reserve. It attracts tourists and pilgrims alike.
    "Visitors can drive down in their private vehicles only on Tuesdays and Saturdays" (considered as auspicious days for Lord Hanuman).
    It is woven with mythological stories. It is said that when the Pandavas halted in the Pandupol area during their exile, Bhima had an encounter with Hanuman.There is an opening in a rock here that can be seen even today. which is said to have been made by Bhima. As a mark of respect, the Pandavas kept a small idol of Hanuman here, which eventually became a temple. This Hanuman temple is said to be about 5000 years old.
    Set amidst dense forest groves, this spot is a heaven for nature lovers. One can club this along with a visit to the Sariska Tiger Reserve.
