    • @denzilboyd6719

People believe there is a supernatural world for many reasons. They may have experienced things inexplicable by the solely physical including miracles and other strange happenings. God may have reached their heart and caused them to want to follow God and love the truth. They may simply know it exists. We know that God calls people to himself, and how he does that is up to him. The scriptures show that Jesus is God. For example, he calls God his Father, making him equal with God. God the Father even calls Jesus his “beloved Son” confirming this thing. Jesus says “before Abraham was, I am” (I think only God could say that truthfully if he were a man who came after Abraham). I am (that I am) is also a name for God. Jesus also refers to the one who is sent from heaven (from the Father) and says no one has seen the Father (except the one who has come from Him, I.e Jesus). This implies Jesus dwelled with the Father. Jesus is called the Word in John 1, which I believe is a name for God. The word of God says all things were made through Him and for Him (speaking of Jesus).

and then you jumped straight in with a god.
Also, that god was your particular god.
      wow!
Maybe could you tell me "why" you were convinced to believe. Everyone has to be convinced before they can believe any claim.
Why do you claim there is an unproven supernatural world in the natural world that we live in.

@@alicedeen720 I brought God into the conversation in part to convey the idea that there is an intelligent being behind why people are converted, one who knows our hearts, and what in particular convinces each person. And it is only by Him that we can believe anyway (That seems to me to be the Christian standpoint). I presume it to be true because I believe it to be true (but read what I wrote below for an understanding of why this is coherent)
In my life, I've experienced happenings that are too strange to be coincidence, such as a conversation with someone who seemed to respond to my thoughts, by putting out messages responding to what I've been thinking (despite me not directly talking to them).
I've felt a pure light in my heart that brought me to believe that what is described in 2 Corinthians 4:6 happened to me. I feel tangible delight that seems spiritual and God given (more directly so than my other emotions) at belief in God's word and more.
I've received Words of God personal to my situation through my RUclips feed, which have served to shape my heart and give me insight.
I've heard testimonies of God's work in the lives of other people through my church, and reading books.
My faith in God has also been bolstered through reasoning. I am convinced that there were eyewitnesses to the resurrection of Jesus (see the Case for Christ by Lee Strobel (there's also a movie)), and because God requires faith (which is being certain of what we do not see), I accept that even if there appears to be evidence against the word of God, God's ways are higher than mine, and it is his glory to conceal a matter, and the honor of kings to reveal it.
He tells us to trust in him with all your heart, and not to lean on your own understanding. If all the evidence in the world said God didn't exist, and all we could potentially be sure of was Jesus' resurrection, that might be enough.
      2 Thessalonians 2:9-10
9The coming of the lawless one will be accompanied by the working of Satan, with every kind of power, sign, and false wonder, 10and with every wicked deception directed against those who are perishing, because they refused the *love of the truth* that would have saved them.
If you really believed what the Bible said, you would be left with a perfectly coherent worldview. Things contrary to the Word of God may be viewed as deception, that we currently may not have the wherewithal to fight against (and this may be by design). We as Christians believe our enemy the devil is much smarter than humans, and he along with his demons are perfectly capable of creating lies that seem well supported to the human eye.
As I've said, the Bible offers a coherent worldview. It's just not one that values the same things the world does, or gives people and their arguments the same level of credence. It is only by God that we can believe, and it is not a matter of human argument.
      1 Corinthians 2:1-5
1When I came to you, brothers, I did not come with eloquence or wisdom as I proclaimed to you the testimony about God. 2 For I resolved to know nothing while I was with you except Jesus Christ and Him crucified. 3 I came to you in weakness and fear, and with much trembling. 4 My message and my preaching were not with persuasive words of wisdom, but with a demonstration of the Spirit’s power, 5 so that your faith would not rest on men’s wisdom, but on God’s power.
Sorry if the length of the message is too much. I would be willing to talk about it more with you, if you'd like to hear my viewpoint.
      Some takeaways
      - The world we see is consistent with the viewpoint in the Bible (if we take everything said into account), because there is a deceitful and intelligent enemy, as well as a concealing, mysterious, sometimes hidden God who requires faith in him that isn't necessarily based on what we see.
      - God is the one who gives people faith in this viewpoint through his working.

No, not everyone has God as their Father. Some are of the devil.
Jesus is God, but he really is human too. He came to live the human life we couldn't, and that includes praying to the Father, eating, feeling weary and growing. But no mere human can forgive sins or give eternal life, only God can do that. Let's not assume that we are able to fully comprehend the nature of God. There are true things in life that we accept but cannot explain. Imagine someone saying they don't believe in gravity because they cannot understand it and no one can explain it. Don't reject what God has revealed about himself because you presume to think you are able to fully comprehend what God is like. His ways are not our ways, and his thoughts are not our thoughts.
      John 10:25-31 (ESV)
Jesus answered them, “I told you, and you do not believe. The works that I do in my Father’s name bear witness about me, but you do not believe because you are not among my sheep. My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all, and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father’s hand. I and the Father are one.”
The Jews picked up stones again to stone him.
      Titus 2:11-14 (ESV)
For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation for all people, training us to renounce ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright, and godly lives in the present age, waiting for our blessed hope, the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ, who gave himself for us to redeem us from all lawlessness and to purify for himself a people for his own possession who are zealous for good works.

Let them continue to lie as long as Christ is preached.

No Jesus is NOT the almighty God, he can be given the TITLE of Elohim (God) just like kings and judges in the Bible were called Elohim (God) ......I think that some people get confused about God because Jesus said "all authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me " So the question is WHO gave this
    authority to Jesus ?
So God has entrusted HIS SON to bring judgement to this earth and has appointed his son to judge the earth, and so Jesus figures so much in the outworking of God's plan that people often this Jesus is God, but this is not the case, and to prove this I am going to show you one chapter out of many in the Bible which proves Jesus is not God.
Take a look at 1 Cor 15; and Vs 24 to begin with which says:
Next, the end, when he hands over the Kingdom to his God and Father, when he has brought to nothing all government and all authority and power. For he must rule as king until God has put all enemies under his feet.
    QUESTION:
So WHO does Jesus hand over the kingdom too ? WHO puts all enemies under his feet ?
Now Vs 28-7-28 which says For God “subjected all things under his feet.”But when he says that ‘all things have been subjected,’ it is evident that this does not include the One who subjected all things to him.28 But when all things will have been subjected to him, then the Son himself will also subject himself to the One who subjected all things to him, that God may be all things to everyone.
QUESTION: WHO does the son subject himself to ?
Does it look like Jesus is God here, considering God does NOT have a God himself ?

The man Christ Jesus submits to the Father, but the Son is the Father. Unless being one means something else to you. As with all things, its shortsighted to lift up a scripture as the reason for why someone might think something is true, and then disregard that scripture in your answer. In all that you've said, there is no real answer to why all power is given unto Christ in heaven and earth. Why? Why not some other man or angel or animal? Was it not because Jesus was the Son of God, the only Begotten? What does that mean then, that he's the only Begotten Son of God? Doesn't it mean that out of all the sons and daughters that God has adopted, this one is of God in nature and appearance? Does that seem a small thing to you, that our Lord and God is Christ Jesus in the appearance. Seeing as how we know that God is a Spirit, and has no physical shape or appearance, how then can Christ say that he is God? How can he say that anyone who has seen him has seen the Father? When we know that no man has seen the Father? What is he then? It's a strange thing to say that Christ isn't God when he specifically says that he is God in the flesh. In John chapter 1. Besides this interpretation I see no other way to comprehend the Bible saying specifically that the Word, which IS God, became flesh and dwelt among men. The same word that God says will go forth and do all his pleasure. Might then God aayi g that Jesus is his Son have more to do with him being of God and his love for us, then the fact that he was made by God? And why, pray tell, would God make a human being who simply is just righteous enough to reconcile all me, and then give away his kingdom to God? When the Bible itself says that Jesus is King of kings, just as God is also referred to as King of Kings and Lord of Lords in Daniel? These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and they that are with him are called, and chosen, and faithful. Revelation 17:14The king answered unto Daniel, and said, Of a truth it is, that your God is a God of gods, and a Lord of kings, and a revealer of secrets, seeing thou couldest reveal this secret. Daniel 2:47

@@xavierthomas5835 Really ? You need to see what the Bible teaches then as it is NOT A MAN who subjects himself to HIS FATHER but Jesus as a spirit being, no longer a MAN....the reason WHY it was given to Jesus is simple, Jesus is NOT Yehovah ! and is NOT equal to his father !

    • @xavierthomas5835

@Strond Timepieces Jesus is still the representative of man in heaven. Its made clear that Jesus is us in heaven, which h is why it says that we are as he is in the world.Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world. 1 John 4:17
So then we see here that as Jesus is referred to as many things in the Bible, here is he referred to as us in heaven. Also, he clearly says that he is not a spirit in John, saying that he is not a spirit because he has a body and flesh. He also would be God if he didn't have a body. There wasn't any Spirit in him but the Spirit of God. It even says that the Father gave him not the Spirit by measure, meaning he had the whole Spirit of God indwelling in him. That would make him nothing bit the Spirit. He also refers to himself as the bread of life. God calls his word bread several times throughout the Bible. Jesus refers to himself as the waters of eternal life. God calls himself the everlasting fountain. This isn't even referring to John 1. Plenty of places where God and Christ are synonymous with each other. In fact, in every place. Jesus is literally called the Everlasting Father at one point in Isaiah.
