i dont agree. old people english not so good, later the train tengah west tengah east where will they alight at? + it would be easier for the stations to have a shorter name.
Brickland is confirmed to be an infill station between Bukit Gomak and Choa Chu Kang so CCK West will have to do. Also I disagree with Boon Lay North and Jalan Boon Lay since we need unique names
Based on the route described by the video: Choa Chu Kang >> Jurong Pier >> Peng Kiang Hill >> Tengah >> Pandan Reservoir >> Jurong East Like dat does it mean that from Boon Lay go Gek Poh 2 stops But impossible to go from Gek Poh to boon lay ??? There are no explanations about these at all.
One thing thats convenient is the round-about station called Bahar Junction. one suggestion to me should be one triangle platform with the lifts in the middle. it would look cool and i think people do not need to change platforms like the ones in jurong east. Please do this suggestion LTA!
Bahar junction may not be triangular. I was reading the JRL post by Land Transport Guru. They had the temporary station plans for Bahar junction, and there is no triangle platform.
They should loop the train to Bukit Batok New West estate, more residences there currently. Tengah Park and Bukit Batok West stations are too close to each other, no serve much purpose. But overall, the other idea for building this line is great!
Two questions - which station has a direct link to the HSR? Why not simply extend the downtown line into Jurong and then have the JE and JW lines run off it?
Hi, thanks. I was thinking that the terminus at Bukit Panjang could be extended around to Choa Chu Kang and then follow the route they have. But I'm no engineer or planner!
Wayne Burnett They're planning to use smaller carriages for the JRL. Larger than an LRT but smaller than the one in CCL. This is to accommodate with the building density in some parts of Jurong. If it's too big and too noisy, it won't be good for the community if they were to continue the DTL into the west. Plus, Jurong's history as a swampland might make it expensive and hard for large underground projects. As such, the JRL will entirely be above ground. The HSR will be connected to Jurong Town Hall station. Personally, I find it to be a bad choice considering it would be easier if Malaysians have direct access to the EWL and NSL instead of having to take the JRL to Jurong East Station.
Hi Хамбали Саллех, thanks, that helps. I didn't know about the swampland issue in Jurong. I think I agree that the additional MRT line change (from Jurong Town Hall station, for most people) will make the trip annoying. It will likely feel so even more as I understand the KL station is at Sentral, downtown.
Why not go all the way? Instead of elevetated you can make this line fully underground like the cross island line If underground you can connect it to the circle line via pasir panjang? Plus save up a lot of greeneries and space
Without doubt its gonna cost more but Singapore is rich. They can afford to make all mrt lines underground + I rather see more pillar of trees than a pillar of concrete elevated mrt tracks Besides they are other benefits too but I'm too lazy to list them out
@@igzord there are certain requirements for trains to be underground. i dont know whether this is one, but the line cuts through ntu, probably one reason.
But already connected to north-south line and east-west line and why is outdoors because train is not always underground or do you live near circle line and I Like outdoors MRT underground is normal
Will it run on the right side? And don’t give bombardier the contract for the trains to be used! It’ll delay its opening! Make sure it can borrow cars from other lines if this needs to happen.
321 321 it’s actually quite common here. Kidnappers are very rare in this part of the world. Plus if they do go missing, there is CCTV in a lot of places (good or bad idk). So no worries. It’s the case in Japan as well. There, parents send 4 year olds to convenience stores.
i believe they will just demolish the current bus interchange to add a new platform or they will specifically drill underground for the jrl in jurong east
the JRL platforms are stacked side, beside Platform F. So the red ceiling will be raised even higher and there would be an overpass above all the other platforms This is to say that Jurong East will have the highest lettered platform (Platform H) while CCK has the most platforms at 9
Is this the first line that starts of with a elavated and driverless train . Wow ya . Cuz ns ew line have the newer wan vut does it have drover or not ? Anyway it doesn't matter Cuz I always think it has or can say it not that new

it's meant to be more LRT than a MRT...
Then BBW and Tengah Park will be great stations to RTT

downtown line ain't anywhere near that and the HSR connection is likely to be Jurong Town Hall.
