    There is nothing wrong with what they are doing, that beautiful horse is not being abused what-so-ever; nor is he being abused with the whip either, there are several reasons the trainer is tapping him with it; one could be to get him to go or move in a certain direction, another reason to slow down his gait or speed up his gait. That beautiful horse is probably more spoiled than most children. He is healthy and happy looking, if he was being abused he would not be handling the loud music or crowd well and he would be really skittish!!! He is doing none of those!!

      Maggie Gee You welcome, these horses are very much a part of their heritage and I am sure they are very much loved. As far as the loud music think of it this way they are used to loud noises so they won't spook easy. The whip is more or less used to keep him at his pace or to get him to move in a certain direction. If you watch closely he isn't hitting him hard with it horses have a thick hide so I'm sure they feel it as a tap . You can see how healthy and beautiful he is and believe it or not but a lot of horses can sense when they are in the arena competing; horses have big egos and they actually do love the attention. I hate abuse with any animal and horses rank as my all time favorite. If I saw anyone striking such a beautiful animal to hurt him I would make it my duty to report him or her. You can train a horse without a whip but I guess it all depends on the individuals preference. I myself don't have a problem with it as long as they are not hurting an animal or trying to put fear into one. Wow, he sure is gorgeous I can't get enough of watching him.

This is the most beautiful Andalusian I have seen in my entire life. I hope the gene for the beautiful mane and tail is being passed to his foals. Good luck to you! Promote and keep this amazing horse safe. Long mane and tails are not the only reason to breed, but the PRE needs to keep those traits as a standard of the breed.

    I was commenting on the horse's beauty, not his dancing. But I've been to Costa Rica and seen this in person. It's pretty exciting, but I feel that how hard these horses work is for the humans, not for themselves. I just don't see how they can keepit up so long without frigging collasping. It's amazing.

    First of all for all of you people saying coments over the delagacy and tradition my culture bring to around these horses. We treat horses by respect we praise these horses and from what i seen for being horse owner and grown up to this culture with horses dancing... they are treated right and try the best to keep them healthy as we possible as we can. Also for those who dont like what we do... why leave comments? We dont judge you when many of you have may mistreated horses when you use them for Jumping, barell racing and much more. You call yourself the so call original cowboys who know everything about horses working in a ranch, but in reality your not. Open the history book look at the past see our history and see yours and tell me. why judge? Why complain? Why be so negative? We dont complain to but yet you have the right complain to us??? It doesnt seem fair, now does it !!?

      Are you kidding me? Your culture ropes horses rear legs and flip them upside down for sport. Often legs are broken, but that does not matter to your culture. Your lack of horsemanship and great desire to of the males in your society to prove their masculinity causes horrific cruelty to horses and bulls. Shame on you!

    • @murillo0601
      @murillo0601 9 лет назад

      Shame on me! Don't you have something better to do than keep commenting... Why don't you talk to people that are in your low society because all I ever see them doing is complaining. What I do recommend is learning about it before commenting anything. Secondly i did say in my other comments before if you got nothing nice to say don't say nothing at all. I did not come here to fight nor talk back to people like you. Your at a lower standard than me because i didn't come here to fight. My parents taught me better than fight, but did yours???

      Beautiful for 1 minute at the best. After that time, Piaffé is not right for him. If you open your eyes, you will be able to see that this pretty horse no longer plays : his master beats him every 3 seconds. Damned Cowboy !
      Now, about that awful noise all the time around him with this guy trying to sing and rather crying : such a pity !
      Of course they spend money to maintain them in good shape, but nobody would convince me that what they do with them is fine. Shame on them !

      Daniela Soto I agree with you 100%. I have to laugh at some of the responses from a certain individual. Apparently they know very little about horses. There is no way a trainer could train a horse with fear and beatings and think he would go out there and perform as beautiful and graceful as this one did. Horses are very intelligent animals not stupid. If he was afraid he would be out of control, erratic and not performing well at all.

    for people who know nothing of horses, that stallion is not terrified.
    Stallions are powerful animal, yes i can tell this horse is a stallion, he is a performance horse, he is well taken care of and properly trained, and to work him until he is tired keeps him thoroughly entertained and happy. The owner taps him with the whip he never hits him, with it he doesn't hit him with all his might. the horses ears are forward and attentive, he is listening for commands when he flickers his ears back.

    He is stunning. Definitely not abused. He is an Andalusian (Pure Spanish Horse or PRE (Pura Raza Española). They are naturally inclined for that sort of movement. He may look nervous to someone who is not used to seeing the breed in action but he is definitely relaxed and soft. Well, as relaxed as an elite athlete can be while in the zone. His handler is barely touching him. Beautiful!!!

    It isn't mean; the it's called the piaffe ! ( you must be one of those "PETA" people LOL )
    It's a dressage move, and comes w/ tons of training.
    Originally, knights ( during the middle ages ) developed this move, so that, in battle, the horse could rear up and kick out w/ it's back legs. They did this move w/ the Lashinski's Lippizaners in their "Wonderful World of Horses" shows.

    Is it painful for a runner to run for 3 minutes? This horse is trained to do that, it has the mucles trained to do what is doing. This is a natural movement for a spanish horse. Do you think that jumping or race horses are happiest? The are all trained to do what they do. Just to ride a horse is painful for its back, and nobody think much about it.
    This people take care a lot of this horse. Its in a very good form and very healthy. Please don't make a big deal for such a well done performance. If the horse sits down on a sofa or get down on one's knees, every body sais that is funny and cute, and that is so unatural.

This man never hits his horses the whip barely makes contacts is does not hurt them at all. If you knew this man you’d take that bullshit back. He loves his horses as if they were his own kids. He lets his horses in his home when he has parties, vet on site, clean stalls, best feeds 24/7 trainers and ranch hands. So don’t talk stupid pls without knowing facts. This horse died of old age as he buried him in his home had a song written for him pfff most humans don’t get that treatment.

    poor horse.. l know people do dressage with whips and prods but still at least those horses can move forwards this horse needs to dance and get held back at the same time..
    There are ways to let a horse dressage or dance without a saddle or anything, no whip needed..
    This horse is beautiful.. poor babe, the horse deserves a nice life.. this is cruel.
    The music is loud... he maybe got used to it, but still if you have such a beautiful animal, take him to the sea. and just go for a ride.. or just have some fun, but this no....
    it's slapping someone with a whip if he doesn't do what you want.
    lf l had a horse l'd be with him all day. no saddle nothing, just simply, freedom

    • @YoinkeeDoink
      @YoinkeeDoink 9 лет назад +1

      Marit Nobody trains dressage with a prod. And the whip is just for tapping just to signal. I do dressage, and it is not as awful and abusive as people make it out to be. On the contrary, it is loving and respectful. I agree with you about the music, though, and this was not "dancing". It was a panicked horse making panicky movements out of fear. This makes it look like all dressage/dancing is bad, when really it's not. The majority of people involved with horses truly love their animals and want to do the best for them. And I agree with you about just letting your horse hack and have fun every so often! I hate how people use horses to get money/gain prestige. They are too intelligent for that. Do dressage/jumping/hunter, but be nice! The majority of the time it is more effective to be kind!

      Kenneth Green l agree with you, some people just dont know how to use a whip or spurs, they use them painfully and l'm very against that, l've seen people doing dressage without any stuff like that, all you need is trust love and patience, lve been with horses for basically mt whole life.. but basically l agree with your comment.

      Thanks. I'm glad to find someone who doesn't think that all riding is abuse, or that all tack is abuse. Liberty is great, but most tack is too! It's just the giant bits with 5 inch shanks that bother me. Or the padded feet on TWHs. Why distort something that's already beautiful?

    This video makes me very sad.. poor poor horsey... horses are such sensitive creatures :( so pretty but being exploited like that. Like many other horses. Glad I'm not a horse. People are such bullies. All I can say is that the people around him most likely are not aware what they're doing to this poor poor creature.

      Look what good shape he's in. He is obviously well taken care of.

      His physical shape is not really a reliable indicator. People in prison are well fed too. There are kind ways to train a horse and there a cruel ways. Look at the trainer poking him in the side. You would probably cringe if you saw how they "trained" this horse to do this.

      darko diamond btw they are gaited from birth just as the horses in puerto rico or paso finos u should focus on how cruel the THW are train not this ones

      @whirlsnwaves 10 лет назад +1

      David, I know what a gaited horses is. I'm on a complete different level altogether. I'm into natural horsemanship. I.m.o. horses should be ridden without a bit. Also it's not natural for a horse to be "on the bit" (the bent neck position) for long periods at a time. It's hard on their backs. I'm against races, showjumping, rodeo's, and all other activities that exploit animals. Horses (all animals) are beautiful creatures, so willing to work for us. So let's use them for transportation maybe and treat them well, but not exploit them just for our own entertainment.
