Nice techniques man. Great to see this product demonstrated. Gives me a good idea of how it performs. I hyperextended my elbow once using a spring loaded bag like this, but it was a lot lighter tension than this. Possibly a bag in the garage with a ceiling mount into a beam is gonna be the way I go
I can recommend this. I am 6'2" and weigh 13 stone. I really whack this bag but when filled with water it doesn't move at all on my concrete garage floor. I need to re-tighten the bolts in the base but have ordered spring washers to fix this issue. Overall for the price this is great.
Nice Techniques.. I just found one in the trash it's in great shape and I plan on losing some weight this summer. Yes, I said "in the trash" they're going for $175+
Excellent review. It looks like you can hit it with some power, and it forces you to remember defence (blocks, slips and so on) due to the recoil. After seeing this, I might buy one that is selling used. I'd use it for boxing (no kicks) for myself and my PT clients.
Nice video 👍. Just purchased 1 from Amazon. But I'm short 5'6. Not sure my kicks will reach middle/top of bag. Time will tell. Thanks good work out routine. Going to try it myself. Thanks brother. 👍
Thanks for the support. The lightbox reads "one box, unlimited workouts". My wife has a business called fitbox. A small box filled with home workout equipment.
Great video man. Funny story: I spotted this at a good price randomly when looking for gloves earlier today. Had been researching speed bags and double end bags the past week or so to date. When I spotted this I thought I'd quite fancy to add something that I could kick but was sceptical at the price. A quick Google brought up your video top of the list and within a few minutes I'd ordered one! Couldn't wait to get it home and set up! Tried at first with great success some water but am gonna go track down sone sand over the next few days. Thanks so much for the great video which 100% assisted and influenced my purchasing decision!! Richie 🇮🇪
i ordered a bag like this last week, it still hasn't arrived due to me being in a different country, I saw many reviews on this product and I seriously recommend it, please tell me your review on it if that's possible .
@@jules9367 So far it's been great for me! I did a lot of research about speed bags and double end bags but as I set out above - this was a bit of an impulse purchase... I'm actually in the process of editing a video about weighting it down. Key points: I did not want to use water because I was nervous the water might eventually spill out or worse - go bad! My solution was to use sand. A sticker comes in the box recommending 200lbs (90kg) of sand. I'd understood that "play sand" was used by other for various similar applications including filling sandbags for rucking. I also saw someone else fill a different Everlast product with sand and it looked super easy. That guy appeared to be using kiln dried sand. What I did't know was that the sand I bought was going to be wet! It seems that's the way it's sold - at least in Ireland anyway! The first bag was a total nightmare to try to pour into the base. That was a full workout in and of itself. After that I waited for a warm, dry day and unfolded a tarp on concrete tiles. I emptied the sand out and spread it as thinly and evenly as possible using a shovel and rake. I related this process for a few days until I had dried all the rest of the sand I was going to use and a little over. Nice and dry the sand poured freely as one might expect sand to pour. So make sure you use dry sand or dry your sand before you use it was the most thing I wish I knew before I started! Hope that helps anybody else.... Feel free to ask me any specific questions!
@@RichardDonelan in my country its pretty hard to find sand, so I might fill it with water, many people with this product told me to use water instead, so I will do that, my question is: is it easy to assemble?
@@jules9367 - yes - very easy to assemble. Turn the bag upside down when it arrives (bag itself is foam filled and ready to use) and then place a rubber plate over the middle of the end of the bottom of the bag that is now facing you. The rubber ring is confusing in that it looks the same both ways up - keep the hollow part facing away from the bag. Line up the shaft of the upright - there are four holes for the bolts. Hadn't tighten the screws at diagonals - just like when bolting a car wheel - then give a final tighten with the supplied allen key. When you have the base filled (water or sand as you prefer) invert the bag and line up the bottom of the shaft of the upright with the four holes on the base that you've already filled. Tighten the bolts in the same manner as set out above. Would suggest not over tightening at first - just until the bolt feels like it doesn't want to turn anymore. As others have also suggested, I'd definitely recommend checking the bolts after the first couple of uses! Also, this is totally optional but I used some bike grease on the bottom bolts just incase I ever had to take them off again as the shaft of the upright that connects the bag with the base covers the fill opening. Hope that helps and that you enjoy this bag as much as I do!
Hi guys, are there any oily parts? The reason why i am asking is because i live in a very hot country and thinking of leaving this thing in a room where temperatures can be quite high for a long time. I just hope things dont break or 'dry up'.
Once filled with the recommended 200lbs (90kg) sand it won't be going anywhere! I'd check the floor though to make sure it can handle the load and also bear in mind that if it was a timber floor with joists running below and no insulation that it could be noisy for anyone who might be living below. Also, I wouldn't fill it with water if using in an apartment in case it leaked! Would also consider using some kind of none slip material under it to protect any floor coverings and to ensure no sand / debris (small stones) got stuck under it - especially if you had a nice floor to begin with!
Thx bro for posting. I know it was long time ago but was about to get this one and now i need serching for something not moving so much like this one :/ any recomendation?cant have a one on celing and all those stands for hvy bags are useless cuz i like to walk arround bag
This is good if filled with sand on a non slippery floor. Nothing will beat the heavy bag though for hitting hard as this bag is really for technique and movement
If you use sand use kiln dried sand or else you'll be there days filling it with slightly damp builders sand as it clogs up into small lumps and is a nightmare to fill, whereas kiln dried sand pours in akin to water.
Hi. I haven't done a follow up but here's an update. I use the bag once a week and it's still good. I had to add self-tightening washers on the lowest three screws as they kept coming loose. I have also done a follow along 20 minute bag work video using the bag so you can see it in action a little more realistically.
Yeah my combos aren't boxing combos. I use the Bas Rutten system which doesn't work as well on this bag. That's a plus though as it forces you to mix up your rhythm and timings.
It looks embarrassing for 190quid, no weight behind it obv might as well shadow box imao. Can't somebody make a decent heavy bag with stand in this life
way too much sway, this is terrible for real practise. you're essentially timing the bag, which has a much difference hertz range than a real human. this looks like the creator of bad habbits. fine for kids, not much more.
What would you recommend to somebody who isn’t able to use a hanging bag? Something like this? Or a heavy bag with a stand, or a free standing bag? If so, which one?
Thanks for reviewing this it helped me a lot. I watched a lot of videos reviewing standing heavy bags and you by far had the cleanest technique during demonstration.

I really appreciate this review 🙏

I just found one on the side of the road two days ago, Basically brand new.
How has it held up for you? Would you recommend it?
Thank you so much for posting this. I just ordered one this evening. 🔥🔥🔥
Bery nice presentation and kickboxing techniques as well

It's definitely a good accessory to have.
Thanks for your review. I'm going to buy it today from Argos! Nice flat bro
I've had mine for 4 yrs it has sped me up faster reflexes I just constantly hit it without stopping
Just got one of these today for my 50th birthday 😊 thanks for the tips I can’t wait to bash into this 👍

I need a new knob that holds it in place where do you get one at?
excellent review thank you sir!

Thanks I been erm..ing and uh..ing on whether to purchase this bag this has helped a lot
Hey did you get this bag? Would you recommend it
Just ordered it now, hope it is as good as u say

Hi guys, are there any oily parts? The reason why i am asking is because i live in a very hot country and thinking of leaving this thing in a room where temperatures can be quite high for a long time. I just hope things dont break or 'dry up'.
I think any lubricated parts are hidden behind the grey part at the base. Probably worth me inspecting this once in a while to re-lubricate
Great video!! What gloves are you using in this video??
Old gloves. The lining had worn away so I ripped the rest off leaving a nice mat finish.
Would this be good for a upstairs apartment I need something sturdy that won’t be harsh on the floor

Yo how did you get that cool sound when you kicked it it was like a high pitch “u”
Is there much moment in the base when punching it on different floor surfaces?
My guess is that there would be. A smooth surface wouldn't be great unless it was sand filled.
How is the bag holding up?
Im sold.
Nice video”Is it okay if you put water in it or do you need sand
Probably depends on your floor. I'm on foam and it doesn't move. If not a grippy for then probably sand.
@@functionalwarriorworkouts2368 oh okay, I’m gonna put it in the garage so you think water would work?
@@inzenyfn1149 give it a try. Water is free and you can empty it out. Sand would be a hassle to fill it but better if no grip on the floor. Good luck

@@biggusdickkus2956 +1, fine, dry sand is the way to go. I used play sand but had to dry it out. Nearly killed me but totally worth it in the end!!

I have a question. I was thinking of getting this, and I was wondering if I fill it with water, and put it on my carpet, would it slip?
I would guess so. You could try some anti slip mats (used for rugs) under it and it should be ok.
He tearing that bag up
I'm learning muay thai. I need bigger body for thigh kick practice
That was a 1-2-3-2, not a 1-2-3-4. A 1-2-3-4 would work if you catch it on the way back

Yep nothing replaces a bag for sure. But this bag forces you to change your timing and comes back at you so definitely a useful tool.
Hey did you end up getting a bag with a stand? If so which one?

It's a useful tool but need to consider what your needs are: boxer training vs a boxing workout. I'd get this for the latter.
U
I think that this is useless to train combinations and power. It is better to train fints
How has it held up?
It's still pretty good. It isn't used extensively but nothing has broken or worn down yet.
