The teatime & painting is such a wonderful memory making time for you and your children. I remember a time when an older lady from our church had invited us to lunch. When we arrived and walked into her home, I nearly passed out. Her table was set with her good china and crystal. My twins were 4 and the girls, were 9 and 11. When I mentioned my hesitancy, she assured me the children would be fine at the table. Definitely memory making. PS: Your pop tarts looked delicious.
Aww your Friday tea time took me back. ❤️ I’m a former homeschool mom (just graduated my youngest this past spring) and we used to do Friday poetry tea times. Such sweet and wonderful memories. Sometimes when I was really tired or didn’t feel well we would listen to poetry audiobooks. We hated to miss it.
I admire your ability to have all your children working or "arting" together. It fosters closeness between them while stimulating creative fun learning experience they will remember. You have created order to your home which invites a "come and have some tea" feeling. I have watched you since before your children. You are the OG here on you tube and it hasn't changed you in a negative way. Hugs to you and your family, I can't wait for vlogtober.
My children are grown- the last is a senior this year. We had a tea time several days a week during our homeschool years. My 26 year old just brought it up recently. We read poetry and epic read alouds. It’s was wonderful and they remember it fondly. Of all the things I did in those years, this may have been the most impactful. I thought of it as a little add on back then. Now I see how important it truly was.
I love that you make a special tea time with your children. Life can be so busy and taking that time is so special and I am sure will be a sweet memory for Each of You.
My children still talk about our poetry teas that we enjoyed weekly when we homeschooled. They loved the chima and special treats. It was a lovely time together. They are all college age now.
I prefer wearing dresses all year. I add a sweater and leggings during the winter and sandals in the summer. This allows my wardrobe to be very versatile. Love your new dresses. Great video.
I love love love when you show your wardrobe for each season. Your style is so good! And the idea of using a task as your alarm clock! Bread, laundry whatever it may be. In this season of life, mine is farm chores!
Luke is getting tall. This summer my grandson grew so tall. He's taller than I am. Makes me want to cry. Glad you kept the navy and wine colored clothes. Those are your colors. You also look lovely in the cream or off white sweaters. Of course you look good in all your dresses but those are your colors. The tea time is so good for your kids. Can't wait to see your new counter tops. God bless you all. 🍁🧡🍁
I LOVE Boka toothpaste! I often get kindly complimented on my smile and people ask me what I use and I tell them and they try it and love it too. It's amazing :)
Beautiful video of your fall clothes line up and the shared family time. How beautiful it is to do something lovely for those you love. Thank you for this gift.
Your my favorite utuber Hilary Love seeing you sort your thrifted wardrobe, I started thrifting my clothes about three years ago, after losing weight I donated all my clothes, and built up my wardrobe.. it’s a lot of fun, and time consuming to find just the right things, but I’ll be honest my thrifted outfits are my favorite and I would say I have 75% thrifted wardrobe now… yesterday I found two tops and the two of them cost $6 one is a silk top for church service and the other a everyday top with a hood…. I never see things I like in the stores anymore. Can’t wait to see your kitchen, and the tea party is just precious ❤
Oh, how exciting!! Can''t wait to see the new kitchen. Those pop tarts looked so delicious. I enjoyed this video so much. I always look forward to Thursday mornings!
Wow! Those countertops! Can't wait to see what is to come. And I love the whole teatime, reading, painting situation. We need more of this in our lives, adults & children alike.
I love the teatime idea! I implemented your summer holiday routine during our last holiday (winter here) and it was so good! I felt so calm and the kids loved it (I have 7). I think I'm going to incorporate teatime into our spring holidays too.
Oh, how I've missed your videos! I just got back from a 3 week trip to visit extended family. That in of itself has motivated me to get to work on simplifying and beautifying our home, but watching this today just drove that desire more deeply! And I absolutely LOVE your idea of connecting more deeply with your kiddos once per week. I'll be excited to hear how much they will be looking forward to that precious time each week! Blessings to you all! Ok....I'm off to get cracking! LOL
Happy Fall, Hilary! I loved the homemade pop tarts. The memories you are making on Friday mornings are so special. You never cease to amaze me. You are such an awesome Mom! Be blessed today.💗
We love tea time at our house as well! Paired with stovetop popcorn it makes the perfect cozy treat. Can you give us an update on life with Finn? We just rescued our first dog and I need to know how you keep your home so clean and dog hair free!
hey girl- loved the video! 😁 such yummy recipes!😋 great job Hillary👍 Tea time sounds so fun☺ I can't wait to see the kitchen counter reveal soon😀 Y'all have a blessed weekend🥰
The Friday Tea Time is a great idea and making wonderful memories. Your dresses are lovely. Appreciate the tooth paste referral; I've recently purchased NOBS to try as a floride free option but like the paste in a tube better.
When serving savory-type “muffins” to my kids when younger, it helped to refer to them as biscuits and top with a little chicken or beef gravy. Another favorite was milk gravy (if anyone has ever been to Knott’s Berry Farm’s famous restaurant here in L.A., you know what I mean).
Your french press and mug are lovely! Also a big fan of your dress. I want to add long sleeved fall floral dresses to my wardrobe. Looking forward to seeing your fall wardrobe. I hope you'll give us some OOTWs so we can see it in action. How did your summer wardrobe perform?
Performed great! I wore a dress every day except for one week of our church’s vbs where I wore shorts and a t shirt, although one day I wore my t shirt over a dress ☺️
Wonderful video Hilary. Your recipes looked delicious. I would love to try the homemade pop tarts. I love your countertops, but with your beautiful style sense, I know the new ones will be fabulous….cant wait 😊
Well, here in Yuma, Arizona we only have two seasons, summer and kinda summer. I’ve noticed that a few people at church are starting to wear “fall” clothes but it just doesn’t jive with temperatures now at 100 each day and nights in the 70’s. If you think about it if you went to Hawaii in January you wouldn’t think of taking winter clothing. You would take bright colored and flowered things. But some women still have the mindset that says you must dress for the four seasons regardless of the climate. Yes in Yuma you can wear white all year!
Ha ha,I lived in Vermont for ten years and the locals would say that we had nine months of winter and three months of poor sledding (or three months of getting ready for winter) 🥶
This time of year is so hard for getting dressed. I still need to wear short sleeve tops but don't want my summery ones. I was able to find a few fall colored short sleeve tops. As it gets cooler I wear them with cardigans. I just also refreshed my long sleeve shirts and got some new jeans. Sometimes you just get tired of your clothes and need to change it up. I love the tea time.
I have been searching for a good cinnamon pop tart recipe after having one from a local farm store. It was so good. I bet your pop tarts were delicious!
Your dresses are all so beautiful! I was looking at the one you’re going to donate & wondered if you could makes some fall pillows or pumpkins out of it. The print is really cute. I do that with some of mine. Just an idea. 😊
Your videos are always a treat and give me great ideas. Try making the breakfast muffins in a different shape and call them something else. Maybe you could make them in a donut or bagel shape. You can also change the type of cheese or add some herbs to reintroduce them to your kids. Or even make them with bacon. I love the idea of the “poptarts”, I think I will add some cottage cheese to the jam and see how it turns out.
Hilary, I always look forward to your videos! I don’t watch until I get my co-op work/homeschool day done. I sit with my tea and sweet treat and relax and enjoy! I always love when you include your dress wardrobe! So inspiring!!! Can’t wait to see more outfit inspo 😉 excited to see the new countertops in your kitchen!!!! Question - what sourdough recipe do you use? I have been wanting to start making bread but need guidance! Do you use regular organic flour or is it a special flour for the sourdough? Thanks a bunch!! ❤❤❤❤
I have started a new work schedule in the very early morning and I am trying to streamline some of my regular, daily tasks. I am considering getting a breadmaker, after baking bread the old fashioned way for twenty years. 🍞 Can you tell me what kind you have? It seems like you have been using it for quite awhile and use it often, so it seems like it must be a good one. Thanks in advance 😊
Ummm, when we set clocks back there is more light in the morning, less in the evening. So, think you'll be able to do those morning walks a bit longer.😊
I was hoping you would do your fall capsule yayyyy glad your fixing your Frye boots as they are really good boots…… you still have your lily silk cardigan correct? Also my booties are by Sam Edelman and I love them :)
Have you ever made sausage balls? It's bisquick, sausage, and cheese. You can find recipes not using Bisquick. They are easy to make, and we pair them with scrambled eggs.
I like the make the savory muffins that you made as a savory quick bread (think banana bread) my kids like it like that better than muffins as they expect muffins to be sweet
HAPPY THURSDAY IN SEPTEMBER Hillary, family, and fur baby FINN sweetheart. I would eat those muffins they looked delish! I really need to declutter my clothes. Time to make an appt for pick up from Veterans. The boys are growing and of course they are handsome. JUST PRECIOUS HILLARY! Enjoy your weekend. STTB
Another lovely video. Your pop tarts looked delicious. Your children are fortunate to have such a loving, caring, nurturing Mama.

I would love the tea time for myself (at 67)..... what a lovely idea.

I love your Friday tea time with Bible reading and painting. The memories you are building with your children are so precious. Good job mama of four!
So special to have teatime with your children. They will remember that little treat and look forward to their "grownup" time.
Your Friday tradition will instill wonderful memories in your children. ❤️
You are a fantastic Mom.

Every child should have the love, safety and security you foster in your home! You are a master at bread making AND slicing 😊

Maybe take the little sausage muffins and cut them in half and put egg and cheese and make mini egg sandwiches
How exciting, I can’t wait to see your kitchen update. Thanks for sharing, Hilary 🧡

How fun my last name is Boka so now I can have toothpaste with my name.
Thank you very much for the video 👏👏👏
Aww! We do a teatime after our Friday co-op!
So sweet!
So good to see your videos.
Everything looks delicious! Lovely vlog :)
Love your videos lady.
Maria from Canada
I think those muffins would be yummy! I love a sausage and cheese biscuit so in muffin form would be nice too : )
Maybe try cutting the muffin in half and adding a fried egg. Then it would be like a egg biscuit and your kids might enjoy that.

I have been searching for a good cinnamon pop tart recipe after having one from a local farm store. It was so good. I bet your pop tarts were delicious!
I’ll have to try that, maybe a brown sugar cinnamon 🤎
We use Hoka n has helped my kids enamel!!!
Your dresses are all so beautiful! I was looking at the one you’re going to donate & wondered if you could makes some fall pillows or pumpkins out of it. The print is really cute. I do that with some of mine. Just an idea. 😊

Question - what sourdough recipe do you use? I have been wanting to start making bread but need guidance! Do you use regular organic flour or is it a special flour for the sourdough? I got a starter from my dad years ago, and I feed it with organic AP flour 💛
I wish I would have done tea time when my kids were little.
Lovely.
We live the Boka toothpaste--especially the cinnamon 😊
I have started a new work schedule in the very early morning and I am trying to streamline some of my regular, daily tasks. Mine is Oster! It’s the only one I’ve ever used so I have nothing to compare it to, but I do use it multiple times a week 💛
Great video!
What brand is your bread maker? I am looking into purchasing one but not sure which as they are so many 😊
Mine is Oster!
@@OldWorldHome thank you!! :)
Ummm, when we set clocks back there is more light in the morning, less in the evening. So, think you'll be able to do those morning walks a bit longer.😊
Can you talk more about the girls' hybrid school? Pros and cons? Our family is considering one and I'd love your thoughts and experiences.
We love it, but of course they’re all different, I’d just recommend researching what is available in your area 💛
I was hoping you would do your fall capsule yayyyy glad your fixing your Frye boots as they are really good boots…… you still have your lily silk cardigan correct? Also my booties are by Sam Edelman and I love them :)
Won't there be MORE sunlight in the AM when we turn clocks back? 🤔
Yes:-) Hence the reason I hate Daylight Saving Time -- I look forward to the morning light that standard time brings🙂
Have you ever made sausage balls? It's bisquick, sausage, and cheese. You can find recipes not using Bisquick. They are easy to make, and we pair them with scrambled eggs.

The red and blue is thrifted, from thredUP, I’m not sure of the brand, and the maroon sleeveless is old navy 💛
