That would be awesome for catching, live baits. The length & strength of that is Fantastic. Been using a 8ft whip rod ( 2 peace) , that rod is a game Changer 🎣👍👍

The advice you gave about holding the rod outward instead of back too far (to prevent breakage), is usually caused by someone attaching a line that is too long, makes a tendency to lift rod backwards too much. My rule is that casting line plus tippet should not be any longer than 1 ft. longer than the rod, otherwise you have to hand-line the fish in to get it close to you for release. Also by the way, I have cases for all 9 of my Nissin rods, the Zerosum case is nice but others are just thin nylon - they are older, maybe they more recently stopped including them. I want one of these for micro fishing.

Thanks! Yes, I agree on the 1 ft. extra length. That is generally what I do. In terms of cases, yes Nissin incudes fabric cases, but no hard cases.
