The technique of sliding into a corner is older than Supermoto it was explained to me by Carroll Resweber and old flat track racer, #1 plate 4 years straight. And he said he watched others do it as he was coming up in the biz. that was the 1950's. They called it "backing it" into the corner. It was done with engine braking only then. They didn't have brakes.
I love the fact the guy is trying to tell Rossi how to tackle the track, like he doesn't already understand it better the instant he sees it than that guy ever will
motorcycle riders are like fighting athletes, no one knows everything, there is always something to improve and there will always be someone that knows more than the champion, ALWAYS.
Cut de Pie Fails Yes but also like combat sports, there are levels. Rossi is one of the greatest of all time at the absolute top level. It's not bad that he tries to explain it to Valentino it's just a little ridiculous to actually watch.
Dayle Clarke Yes there are levels but performance levels and coaching levels are very different. Just a quick example, Firas Zahabi is probably one of the best trainers in mma he trains George Saint Pierre an legend in MMA, do you think GSP wouldn't listen and do what Zahabi says, just because he fights better than his trainer? Or a bigger example, Freddie Roach that was a good fighter, he trained Pacquiao, Pacquiao is definitely better than Freddie at his time, was it relevant for Pacquiao? No, he listened and did what his trainer asked him to do. That's what the guy is doing. Training. sharping edges, don't forget that apparently it was the first time that Rossi was trying to lap this track, so coaching makes sense.
i know:) i wasnt trying to say he is riding better, because honestly you cant compare these two since rossi (what a show he made in qatar, amazing!) is moto gp racer, and John is superbike racer, so they have very different machines, therefore styles of riding :)

Lmao so true i don't get why he's telling a 7 time moto gp world champion what to do
+Dayle Clarke Probably the fact that we can allways learn something new
