Fantastic memories of my 747 flights to the Caribbean and Seychelles on the seventies. Beautiful flights and brilliant service with British Airways.
🏴🇬🇧
She was not just an airplane to me. She was almost like a mother in the sky. I will truly miss my dear 747. I look forward to visiting this one and the rest of the retro BA 747s when open to the public.
Yes can’t wait until she is open for viewings at Kemble!!
Wonderful footage of that 747 400.The pilot really made that landing look very smooth especially on the last flight of the 747 400 Negus.
Thank you!
Watching this now after the news that Kemble has taken on G-CIVB for preservation! While it’s sad many of the others are destined for recycling, there’s a silver lining in that this jet will be staying complete for the foreseeable future for future visitors to see up close! Hopefully the other two retro 747s currently waiting in Cardiff are also preserved, since then there’d be a complete set of preserved retrojets, plus G-CIVW in the Chatham Dockyard scheme at Dunsfold 😃
BOAC one is being preserved at St Athan 👍
Well done for being there and catching a piece of history in the making👏👏. Got a photo on my Twitter page of the very same plane parked at Tokyo airport last year.
Thanks very much! Glad you caught it before it was retired 👍
Nice footage mate ! Whats happened during touch down ? Some one interrupted your filming ?
I fell off my ladder!! Ha!

@CharlieGolfAviation hope nothing more than pride is broken from your fall. Off to RAF Kemble for pics Sunday. I hear 7x747 all lined up.

They are planning to turn the Retro livery into a museum at Kemble. That will be fun. Great footage mate, Subscribed

Nice video, it's a sad day that these beauties won't be flying anymore, time does move on, but these will be remembered as a great iconic that was flying for many years. I will check out the other videos you have posted. I have subscribed to your channel and liked the video, thankyou for sharing.
Thanks very much :)
Sadly missed!!!
Excellent video. Fantastic work on her profile as well as the others.

The Negus whas preserved at Kemble in 26/10/20.
Yup, this was widely known when Negus arrived at Kemble. No idea why it took them so long to make the official announcement.
Wow, what a superb but sad video, Coming Down To Kemble tomorrow to Get some shots of her
Thanks mate - she's parked on the North Apron, round the back of the airfield near the old Britannia
Okay mate, should get some decent shots then!
@@planespottingringway Just to let you know there's an A320 due in to Kemble today at lunchtime so if you're making a trip then I may see you there!
Yeah I’m going!
A319 isn’t it
Was the union flag upside down a deliberate act as this last BA747 ended it's flying life. Thank you for filming and posting this.
I hadn’t noticed that, good spot!
Great video mate!
Many thanks!
Lovely bit of footage of a very sad moment. Glad they landed when they did, I had to go back to work!
You and me both!
0:53 that’s just a sad sight! Seeing all these beautiful girls Boeing 747-400 lined up like that!
Sad isn’t it. Don’t think I have ever seen so many jumbos all parked up before.
There is a lot of reflection in the notes of a piano
Yes certainly thought provoking

It’s parked on the North apron 👍
just wondering, are you able to go to go by Av8 to see the 747, or is it closed off?
Yes it can be seen from AV8, its parked on the North Apron 👍
