I think a lot of international fans might not realize that, since the languages sound similar to western ears, but it's fun to get that reminder that most of the members are pretty well fluent in Japanese as well as Korean. For the ID part older Armys were calling JK « oppa » which mean big brother. It’s actually an affectionate name girls call any close men that are older than them but it can also be the American « Daddy » use to referring to sexy men. But in this situation JK was very young so whenever an Army called him « oppa » he doubt that they are actually younger than him. That’s why he asked to verify their ID.
