Thank you for addressing the insect/disease issue. The last 3 years I’ve had numerous problems and still trying to find the right solutions. I try to keep my pruners & cutters clean between usage. I have been flower gardening for over 40 years and just started having these pest problems…in zone 6b…and want to encourage pollinators. You are a wealth of information 😊and as dedicated gardeners we never stop learning.🌻🌷
Love the coral colors so pretty. ❤
Thank you! 😊
Gardening TLC, I really liked this video! I subscribed too!
Awesome! Thank you! And WELCOME!!
You Are lucky you don’t have deer!
Michelle your gardens and designs are beautiful! Really appreciate all your knowledge. I garden in MI, zone 5 so I am familiar with all your plants. I'm still battling all kinds of weeds. However I do have a Hosta bed that I just absolutely love with no weeds. I found a white Hosta that I can't find in any stores. I'm on a mission but think I will have to order it. When reading reviews though they aren't that good.
Have a super week!
The plants look healthy! Do you remember how many lemon thyme did you plant to have a bush that big? I just planted 3 kinda close. Thanks!
One
Lemon lace elderberry takes shade???? I didn’t know
It gets 3-4 hours of sun. The tag does say part sun....mine is doing pretty good there. It is starting year 3
I just found your channel and I love it!! Love your energy and easy to understand teaching. I really want to plant around in my gardens but hesitate with the overwhelm of making decisions, not knowing what are good companion plants and end up dealing with a plethora of weeds instead. Would like to learn what I can plant next to and at the base of my grapes, blackberries and elderberries.
I love your videos! So informative!!
Could you do a video on mound/berm type rock gardens!?!? I want to have one in my yard, but I get overwhelmed trying to figure out where to start!
You learn something new every day, I had no idea there was a product you can put around roses etc for them to soak up and then kill the bug. Bless you for sharing this info. I hate Japanese beetles.
Hoa trong vườn của bạn nhìn giống hoa Hồng quá ,rất tuyệt vời .
Heads up, Japanese beetles love cannas too! Love your containers.
Good to know!
Gonna look great🌱Thanks for sharing. Your energy inspires me🌞
Yay! Thank you!
Great video! 2 questions…
By using a calendula as an aphid host plant, does the calendula end up looking terrible as the aphids attack it? Never grown one but have a Dappled Willow that is always attacked by aphids. Also how close does the Calendula have to be to the plant you want to have the aphids removed from?
2nd question- I have grown a chive plant for the first time and it’s beautiful and already about 8” high. Yours is in bloom and is beautiful, so what will happen next? Will is just die and disappear until next year or can I trim it down and let it regrow (if it will)? It is such a pretty plant I would like to use it in one of my flower beds but not if it is not going to look nice 🤷🏻♀️
Thanks so much Michelle, the information you always have in a video is fantastic and so appreciated, I’ve learned so much thru your channel ❤️
Brenda🇨🇦
Hi Brenda, I still harvest the flowers on the calendula..from my experience, the aphids stick to the stems and leaves....from a distance you can't tell....up close, yup, you will see them. I'm not sure about distance...my 21 raised beds cover probably a 65' x 50' area, and I plant calendula in a bed on each end and 1 group in the middle....I have yet to see aphids on my garden plants...I just leave the aphids alone...they actually make good food for beneficial insects. I treat them like annuals, but they do some re-seeding.
For me, the chives are a perennial. I continuously cut them and use them throughout the season. They regrow back super fast. They can spread by seed, so keep the flower heads cleaned up.
I love the peachy salmon! 🥰
I live in SC and have trouble getting Nasturtium to grow. This is the third year I've tried. You have helicopter woes, I have balls from sweet gum trees. This year I found a wire roller that's for gathering nuts. I use it to gather sweet gum balls and burn them. Put peach and yellow lantana in your 3rd bed.
That sounds nice....I really want perennilas, though ... I have seen those nut rollers...do they work?
Absolutely love your deck area, Michelle. Another great video! Update us on the green tower when you can. Saw it in the background. Thinking I might eventually get one.
Will do!
I have bugs and Japanese Beetles dessimate my climbing roses too. I feel with David Austin food and I always have to spraybwith Seven either late at night or early morning and those darn JP still eat them. What is the active ingredient on your rose food/treatment? Maybe I can find that somewhere. Thank you.
It is Imidacloprid. It was made to mimic nicotine which naturally repels a lot of bugs.
I chose primarily corals this year as well and made the same mistake with my geranium seedlings, also coral and red.
Could you do a quick follow up on the geraniums on where to pinch to encourage fuller growth? I grew the maverick series. I
Love your videos, you’ve inspired me to look at my garden with different eyes. It’s well established but some very tired plants got taken out and new areas have developed.
I do not pinch mine
Love the planter combo’s, very good choice. Question, do you protect your deck from water on your deck under the planters? Or do you just not worry about it?
My deck is old....old....I think the previous owner built it in the 80's so I don't worry about it. Eventually I will be replacing it......ching ching.....
Does the Ferti Lome systemic work for slugs? I have such a problem with slugs eating my hostas and impatiens.
No. I use the Captain Jacks Bug and Slug Killer by Bonide.
Salmon/coral/peachy, blue, & white has been one of my favorite combinations to do! Can't wait to see how yours turns out.
I am finding I am loving it
Thank you for another great video. I think coral is the color of the year. Have the cicadas started coming out up there? I had about 10 of them on a nepeta plant today☀️🌸🍷
Not yet and I don't think our hatch-out will be as thick or as severe as some other places.
No Nasturtium!!! I'm still pulling these two years after removing them.
I know....they spread like crazy...maybe I will pull the seeds.
Everything looks great ! The pots you did are beautiful ! Thanks for all the great info.
You are so welcome!
Michelle, That basil will easily root in water just like coleus and you could have an additional 3 - 4 plants to give away.😀
Thank you...but I ate it..lol
Greetings from Ireland, Beautiful garden and bowels, Its the bee knees.
Hello there!
Don’t chicken out on nasturtium my aunt called them nasty urchin there Beautiful and they’re easy to pull out😊
Haha...love that
I love the bowls!!! 🤩
Those beetles love Rhubarb and Peonies, little bastards 😊
Yup
on the bottom level under the Nepata plant a wave of Heliopsis
Ohhh...i like that.....
Your beds already look fab, will be fun to see everything pop up that you seeded. Will check out the Fertilome rose care. I have been using the 3 in one by Bio Advanced.
How does that work for you?
@@gardeningTLC it does work, but I do like Fertilome products, esp the Fertilome soil acidifier with Iron. (I use on my Gardenias and Camellias)
another great, inspiring video. thanks for sharing 😍
You are so welcome!
Great content
Love your channel. Learning a lot from you.
Glad to hear it!
I was told that the Greek oregano has a stronger flavor.
Me too....we shall see....
Thank you for answering 2 of my recent questions in this one video!
You're amazing Michele and i just love your channel. My recommendation for you to plant in front of your walker's low and may night salvia, is Big Kahana echinacea. Its a gorgeous soft coral peachy orange, prolific bloomer and wants to get beefy pretty fast. I absolutely love mine and i think you'll love them too.
Hmmm. I have not seen those available here. I will have to start looking.
Love watching your videos, and it’s so nice to find someone in my area, I’m in Lake Geneva. Thank you for sharing your knowledge.
Thanks for watching!
Love your videos and your enthusiasm about gardening!! Thank you so much for all you helpful posts ❤

Oooo I’m trying dahlias too🌸
Love the deck pots!
