I'm glad that this company is offering this because I personally think CDs are so crisp and clear, I don't like how you don't have the option to get them anymore not everyone likes apps and all the streaming services. I also have a massive collection of CDs.

Some of us have several thousand CDs. We tend to carry 50 or so in vehicle as a rule. Getting a new F150 Lightning when my turn comes up. This option looks good.

Didn't even test drive it so I didn't think about it. i did not spend 30+ years of my life collecting CDs just to switch to a less conveinient format or having to try to find all of it again on a streming service which does not have all the music I have - great that there are systems like this for those of us who enjoy high quality sound and to buy and own physical media. I find it strange that car companies does bot even offer CD-players at least as an opional extra - customers 45 years and up are after all likely to still own and listen to CDs, so why not profit from that?
AWESOME!!! I cant stand these new car Systems! CD’s were popular for a REASON! WAV files are far superior sound to Mp3’s. And i want to hold and see my music I listen to.
It would be awesome if there was a utility built into the device or within CarPlay that used your connected smartphone's network to query a database which identifies an inserted retail CD (CDDB, MusicBrainz, etc.) and is able to retrieve metadata for that release (track/artist/album titles, cover art, etc.) on the CarPlay display. I think small quality of life improvements like this on the software side would go a long way toward adding value and renewing interest in compact discs in the streaming era.
Good video. Very informative. However, if your car has an auxiliary port, plugging a portable CD player into does the same job cost effectively. I have a 2018 Mazda3 and it plays fine with my old Panasonic player.

That Adapter is cooler than I would have ever thought. The fact that it has it's own apps, adds wireless CarPlay support for your phone is awesome alone. Does that CD player support MP3-CDs and/or CD-RW optical discs?
This kit is designed specifically to work with the WMA format which is what you will find on most store bought CDs. We have another CD player that we call our Audiobook+ that will work with any audio format you throw at it, but it does not have all the features that this one has that you liked such as additional apps and Wireless CarPlay
Funny how things work out that way right? Luckily this mounts perfectly in the center console and you will often find a USB port in there waiting to be utilized...
Was wondering, can the CD players firmware be updated (through a cd maybe :) ) to add new features (like CD Text for example) I realy cannot understand why manufacterers instead of inovating new things remove features now and people like it Its great thing like this exist
So now you have to choose between your CD player or your phone... It would be awesome to be able to use both at the same time otherwise I'll prefer the CarPlay option for my phone.
This kit also has a wireless CarPlay feature built into it for your phone. CarPlay gives you the ability to toggle between connected devices in the interface
It's nice to know that that exists but I purposely bought a 2023 Base Subaru Forester since all trim levels at the time still came with a CD player. I suspect Subaru will move away from the eventually they tend to be a little slower with certain things since one of the few cars on the market that still has screw on gas cap.
The point of the video is this: look at the lengths foreign automobile companies are willing to go to take away your freedom of choice in regards to music playback technology in your vehicle.
So the basic CD player we see on Amazon now that looks from the No name design on the outer unit…..is not the same player you sell without the kit? Or is it the same internal player offered on Amazon….without the kit obviously. No one else seems to have that adapter kit for Apple Play. I just purchased Toyota Camry SE 2023……and of course no CD player but I do obviously have Apple Play now .
It looks similar but everyone else is an imitation and the player will not have the same firmware we developed to get it working on a wider range of vehicles and radios. The imitators are flattering to us though

I watched your video and tried to follow it...unfortunately, I'm that knowledgeable when it comes to tecky (sp?) things and will have to have someone help me...a couple of questions: 1) is it compatible with Acura 2019 RDX and 2) if I understood you correctly, you mentioned you need an iPhone to make it wireless? What if you don't have an iPhone but a Samsung...will it still work, because I really don't want wires all over the front panel. Sorry if I didn't understand the presentation correctly.
This kit works on any vehicle that has Wired Apple CarPlay. Please confirm with your local dealership service department if you are not 100% sure on that. The wireless portion is talking about making your connection with your phone to the Apple CarPlay system. It is just a bonus feature this kit is capable of. Unfortunately there is no way to make the CD player system completely wireless. Please let us know if you have any more questions thank you

Do I need to add the smart CD module to use the CD player in my new 2022 Nissan that deleted a CD in this year's model? I know that the CD player plays on the radio directly through the USB drive in my other car.
After paying $299 before tax for the music and now there's no room to drive . . . . . . they should at least get the two boxes into one to make it easier to operate.
Put one in my Ford. The sound quality was pretty good. The big drawback is, it only played about 75% of my CD's!!!!!! I called the company and they said that was normal. This past year it stopped working. 2 years old and it is dead! Proceed with caution. I will not buy another.
Your kit is still under warranty, give us a call and let us setup a brand new replacement for you. You have options to get yourself taken care of here just an FYI
I bought one of these cd players for my 2019 truck. Hooked it up and it synced up with my radio. Put in a cd, and they have to buffer before it will play. The music was playing just fine until it skipped about 4 songs, I tried it again and same results, tried 3 different cds all with the same results. So I wonder if the module would somehow not allow this to happen?
Would this work for a 2023 base model Honda CR-V? It has CarPlay but I read in the comments that it has to be “wired” and not just wireless. How would I know that?

This is a perfect example of how "progress" has moved us backwards...way backwards. 3 hoops to jump through just to play a CD. Car manufacturers are...steeeeeeewpid.
The device does not work with books on cd. Of course they do not present that fact in this video nor on thier website. Once you have ordered the device the support staff claims its not thier problem and the website only has an email address. No one responds to your email if you try to contact them with issues. I highly recomend you avoid this product and website at all costs.

Buy a thumb drive , plug into usb and play your cds. Oh dont forget to create a file on your computer with songs, then download them to thumb dr

I purchased one for my BMW and it fits in the arm console. I had to purchase a USBc adapter. It works well and I am pleased with my purchase

This looks so cool!!! This would be perfect if it was for android. Not everyone is a fan of apple.
This kit does not require any phone being in the vehicle to get the CD player working. The Wireless CarPlay option is a bonus feature for Apple users

You are going to want the kit on our website that says "universal for any vehicle" it is actually cheaper and will work with your accord

It is not 100% required across the board, but most vehicles USB hubs do not have the ability to support the CD player without this device.

This is a perfect example of how "progress" has moved us backwards...way backwards. 3 hoops to jump through just to play a CD. Car manufacturers are...steeeeeeewpid.

I got an HR-V and that cd player skips so much the tracks even with new cds. Anyone knows some fix for that?

The device does not work with books on cd. Of course they do not present that fact in this video nor on thier website. Once you have ordered the device the support staff claims its not thier problem and the website only has an email address. No one responds to your email if you try to contact them with issues. I highly recomend you avoid this product and website at all costs.
