Those chairs seriously need to be incinerated.
Should black light it
The whole casino NEEDS TO BE INCINERATED !!!😨😲😲😨😲😵😲😨😵😨
Excalibur is such a dump. Only place worse is Circus Circus.
@@valerieneal2747 🤣🤣😂🤣😂
@@hobbs2005 agreed ! won't catch my a$$ there! it looked like someone spilled a whole keg of beer on the rug and when it dried, they just vacuumed it !! the chair looked like dried jizz and that arm rest was nasty!! sometimes it's worth it to pay a little more to go to a better hotel !
How can MGM Resorts allow this in one of their establishments? It is truly shameful. Excalibur used to be one of the best places to stay in Vegas. Thank you for pointing out that it no longer is.
Lol oh man I've been waiting for you to do this allllllllll year! So glad you took one for the team sis
Ace! Sup man 😁
Another issue with Excalibur and Luxor is their very expensive fast food courts. $58 for lunch- 2 burgers, 2 fries, 2 sodas, yes there's inflation, but not that much. Rip off tourist traps, stay away!
You could get an uber/lyft, ride
That's insane!
I can confirn this at Rocket Burgers, Cost me $60 for two burgers, chips and a shake!
@@AbsoluteRangatira Rip off tourist trap, they deserve to go out of business, they have multiple locations in many states, Canada, Las Vegas hotels. You must have needed a late night meal or all the other restaurants had long lines?
I remember the Pizza Hut in Excalibur wasn’t too bad. I got a combo with a personal pizza, wings, and a drink for like $15 which is normal for PH
That amazes me, how a company that owns Mirage and the Bellagio can allow another one of their hotels to be so dirty.
It amazes me as well, but there just isn't enough money coming in to properly clean and replace everything to make it top notch again for THOUSANDS of rooms. (Some hotels are way overbuilt and that is a HUGE problem) The way the corporations see it is that someone is coming in next week with their friends to trash it again anyways since people who go to Vegas party hard sometimes :-)
They're going to milk as much as they can from customers until they end up imploding it and building a new hotel/casino on the spot.
i thought the blackstone group owns the bellagio
@@iluvbickle Yes, They also own MGM Grand and Mandalay Bay. MGM holds the license to operate them and would imagine they would pay to keep the hotel up to date.
I had a similar room at the Bellagio and MGM Grand! I took lots of pictures because I could not believe how dirty they both were!
Excalibur gets a lot of hate for how old it is, but I still LOVE the themed casino. I can't wait to stay and play there some day. Long live the Excalibur!
I just found your channel and I'm binge-watching all of it because we had to break our yearly Vegas tradition last year and I am literally aching to get back. It's just one of those places that you cant stay away from for long once you've has a taste. Planning a trip for October and until then I need all the vicarious Vegas vibes I can get. If we see you around I'll say hi and try not to be too creepy! 😂✌
This makes me sad : ( ...I went to Excalibur the week they opened when I was REALLY young and it's one of my first memories. I pretty much grew up with Vegas being my families "vacation spot" as we would got twice a year when I was growing up. When I turned 21, I ended up going once a month (I was manager at Best Buy and could write my own schedule) and it was the best at that time in 2005! I not only got to enjoy going to Vegas 1-3 times a year growing up in the 90's and getting to enjoy all the kid orientated stuff from the "era for kids" in Vegas. There will never be another time like the 90's for going to Vegas as a kid, that is for sure. Like all of the themed hotels that are so big and distinctive are from that era...Excalibur, Luxor, Mandalay Bay, New York, New York, MGM Grand, Treasure Island, etc. I think me and the people born in the 80's REALLY had it good, we got to experience things that have not been and never will be experienced again. I live in Orange County by the way, so that's why it was possible to go there as often as I'm describing. It's only a 3-3.5 hour drive if you haul up the 15 freeway taking the 91. It's pretty much considered Southern California part 2 haha..
I went in kindergarten around 2005-ish and staying here was like a dream come true for me. My favorite movie was shrek 2, so it was literally the best experience of my life. I remember drawing pictures of the castle and even the parking lot at school because I was so excited. Sad to see your dreams fall apart.
I absolutely agree with you… I remember my family used to stay here back in the 90s too!! Haha when I was not allowed to gamble because I was too young, I still loved walking around and exploring different hotels on the strip… good ol’ days 😂❤️
My parents and I did a similar thing just months after the Excalibur opened. We were coming back home to SoCal on vacation and stopped in Vegas for the night. We couldn't get a room at the Excalibur because it was the "Hot Place" at the time, and ended up staying at the Hacienda.
I stayed at the Excalibur for my first time in LV in 2011 for my 21st. Those same chairs were in the room then and apparently now. Even as an extremely inebriated 21 year old guy, I was grossed out by the room. When we got to our room it had a "smell" to it. Went to take a shower later that evening and this black muck started coming up from the drain taking a shower. They sent up maintenance to look, guy took basically a shop vac to the drain and I watched what I could only imagine to be other guests fun days and nights come up from the drain. We left the property that night and went to the Luxor for the rest of the weekend. Never have been back.
It’s because they just had a flood and all the sewer drainage was still backed up. Look up September 2022 flood.
In 1998, my first visit to Vegas, I stayed at the Excalibur. Two things ruined my trip to Vegas, this hotel and my friend I went with. Both were a drag. The food wasn't good the room wasn't clean and we made no arraignments for any entertainment. I intend to visit Vegas soon but it will be by myself and I will have an itinerary.
Another word of advice; if you are just visiting Vegas, two nights and three days is about the longest you would want to stay. Everything gets really annoying after that. Unless you plan on spending a lot of time outside of town on other activities.
I stayed at Excalibur in March. I had an overnight layover, so I needed cheap and closest to the airport. No regrets! My room was PERFECTLY CLEAN. Great view. The older hotels have larger rooms, so that’s a nicer bonus. I always travel with my own bath products, so no issues for me. My only issue was I arrived so late that all the foods places were closed. I ate at America.
After all this time no room should look like that anywhere.
exactly. Another youtuber stayed at excalibur opening day from the pandemic and he had to switch rooms. room was filthy dead roaches in the window. Like What were you guys doing all that time. Then you see the casino and machines and stuff arent blocked off separated. A lot of the casinos I saw. All they did was take the middle chair away at a couple. flamingo bunch people were all close together from june on. I have stayed at excalibur numerous times from 2001 to 2014 and never had a bad room. But since that all I see is bad reviews bad pictures bad videos and lots or rooms with roaches and I will never return there they have a real problem it seems.
@@deetampa6785 why dont they remodel it because a lot of hotels were imploded
@@estelaangeles2346 They have renovated rooms but its just bad staff and management that let those rooms and things happen. Like the Riviera the management was their downfall rooms all nasty front desk understaffed undertrained lines out the door over an hour to check in. Stratosphere was always bad too bedbugs and such I had a room there with bedbugs all over and room had broken shower was leaking when I walked in. had to change rooms. Garbage overflowing in the halls food trays all lined up down the halls. Hopefully the new strat cleaned it all up. I stayed at fremont hotel and had to change rooms 3 times water damage in bathrooms. white stuff all over the walls stained carpets. Only boyd hotel I ever had a problem. Just shows you who runs hotels properly.
I fully agree with you. I absolutely LOVE the casino. The people that go there just want to have fun and the dealers all have great personalities. I am hardly in my room so it’s all good for me.
I’ve stayed at Excalibur for years and no one in my family has ever had issues at Excalibur. Great staff there.
Agree. The desk lady was super nice & upgraded us cause we came an extra day early! I love Excalibur.. just there to sleep & party on the strip 🥳 🎉
Yeah, I love Excalibur. It's probably my favorite Vegas hotel, though it doesnt touch most Disney World hotels. She should've stayed in one of the renovated rooms. The other rooms have a lot of mileage on them
I just returned from Excalibur. My room was broken into within a few hours by housekeeping. I got robbed $700 worth of Jewelry, money, costly fragrances, personal info. Yea. Such a great place to feel very violated and unsafe.
@@suheycastanedascv Oh my goodness!! What happened then?
When I stayed we found a dead rat in our closet, broken glass on the ground, and blood stains on my pillow.
You knew better than to stay there ruby, thank you for taking one for the team!

New subscriber today. Love your video. Also as a front desk worker at a hotel I truly appreciated the way you handled the dirty room. Looking forward to seeing more!!

Your music is fantastic. It really adds a lighthearted, humorous mood to your presentations. Well done!!!
If your on a budget...it's a cool place. I love the cheap food options. It's old school nostalgic.
I can understand being on a budget.....BUT FOR THAT LEVEL OF NASTY. .
OH HELL NOOOOOOOOOOOOO !!!!
And no WAY IN SANITY WOULD I STICK MY PINKY TOE IN THE POOL LET ALONE ME BODY😱😱😱😱😱
If you're on a budget, you shouldn't go to Vegas...
@@bobbyz414CML Agree, but there's others reasons people on a budget go to vegas. Volleyball tournaments for example. My daughter has at least 2 a year in Vegas.
@@valerieneal2747 Stop being a snob. No place on Earth is as bad as you describe. I've stayed at the Excalibur, as well as most of the other hotels on the Strip. Even though they've lost their original medieval Knights theme, It's still fun if you know how to avoid all the screaming brats. By the way, what are kids doing in Las Vegas, anyway?
@@lustar3232 The misconception is that if you go to Vegas, you 'must' gamble. Nope, not my thing. Unlike Atlantic City, Vegas has more to offer than just gambling. Or perhaps I'm just weird and the exception lol
I have to say I always stay at the Excalibur when I go to Vegas and never had any big issue with the rooms, on the other hand, I mean, the rooms are dirty cheap, with a MGM card you can literally have free nights with even sometimes free resort fee, so there's that too.
Appreciate your sacrifice in staying at that hotel we all appreciate it 🙏🏾
Also thanks for hitting up NachoDaddy also. Definitely going to hit that spot up when we go to Vegas in a few weeks
Nacho daddy is so 👌
In the age of Covid, especially when this was posted back in April of 2021, how can you have such a visibly dirty room?
I travel in March of 2021 and stayed at a very dirty hotel and ended up write corporate. A clean room is a sign that the hotel is trying to take covid precautions.
The Covid was period should have been an opportunity to deep clean all the rooms! The hotel would have been almost empty so why not use that time to thoroughly clean the place?
OMG those rooms are wretched Ruby . I like the castle theming and the casino but no way would I stay there ...not even with my MLife comps . Thanks for posting ....that was hilarious when you thought he didn’t film you doing the shot .
We were expecting the same at circus circus last week. Ran my go pro as I opened the door. Was quite surprised. Room was spotless and Very clean.
Truth is that people mostly complain if they have a problem with their room. Most people that are very pleased do not leave a review. I think saving $100 per night is worth the gamble all day. Excalibur and Circus and a few others are perfectly fine at a discount and the locations remain with the best.
Came here after I saw you with Pompsie in one of his videos. Glad I did!
We stayed there in 2002. Honestly it hasn't been updated since then. Looks to be identical furnishings as we had. We will never stay there again for 2 reasons. 1. What they called a handicap accessible room was basically identical to what you had with a plastic chair that could be put in the shower. My hubby was unable to take a shower the entire time we were there as it was not in any way wheelchair accessible. and 2. Anywhere outside our room was FREEZING cold. They kept the AC up so high we had to buy sweatshirts in JULY.
"Linda blair was staying there" Epic!
Thats some old school shout out. Love the video, reminds me of imperial palace back in the day.
Wow. That's an old reference.
Me an my wife stayed in the Excaliber last month and absolutely loved it, everything was perfect and we miss vegas so much.
Thanks for the wonderful video Ruby, I stayed at the Excalibur on my last visit.
I hope that the scorpion shot was good
Thanks for this video, Ruby! It's like dejavu for me, since I stayed at Excalibur in December 2021, just months after this video. My room looked exactly like the first one you tried--minus the grunge, thank God! I found it...adequate. Maybe just a bit shabby or run down, possibly because it's an older property. Spot on with them having a great casino.
I’ve stayed exclusively at the Excalibur every year for the last 20 years on vacation and I have NEVER had a problem or stayed in a dirty room
Thats like going to a carnival and exclusively only riding the old wooden rollercoaster.
I have been going to Vegas for 20 years and never stayed in the same hotel. Are you afraid of change?
This hotel is on my “No Stay” list.
Along with Circus Circus.
Agree, I have been warned about certain hotels on the strip.
Walked in once, walked out in under 5 min. We stay at the Bellagio 3 - 4 times a summer, have never been let down.
"Oh...a snob, eh? Well excuuuuse me!!!"
Stay far away
The Nacho Daddy downtown is my favorite sit at the bar for good drinks and food.
LOL at the “ I didn’t get you taking the shot” . My reaction would be the same. Just found your channel & love it!
Seems like Vegas has really started to divide between the spotless, very nice hotels.....and then the really, really bad ones. There used to be a kind of middle ground where you could still get a decent clean room, yet not spend $300 a night.
I remember staying there in 1993. My first trip to Vegas.
They didn’t have those raised crosswalks at the intersection, MGM was being built and Ny Ny was a dirt lot.
Eating pick up stix

Awesome review..been to Vegas a million times..loved your current take on Excalibur 🥳
I've stayed at Excal my last three stays. I agree, the rooms aren't great, kinda dated, but I though it was fine. Never got a "nasty" room like your first one. I like the location as well. I decided it's time to graduate from Excal, and for my next trip in a few weeks, I got 4 nights in a 1br tower suite at Luxor and scored a comp at Cosmo in a fountain view room for another two nights.
Did you feel that Luxor was an upgrade? IMO it's possibly worse. Park MGM would be one worth trying. Also, because it's connected to Aria, Bellagio, and Cosmopolitan by monorail, it's a bargain.
Thank you for the heads-up! We frequently go to Vegas, 3 hrs away in California. Love your narration and description of these places.
It’s the sailor moon shirt for me 🌙 🐈⬛
Same here and music ha
I was rubbing a spot on the screen of my IPAD...then I realized it was a stain on the HEADBOARD in your video! 🛏 😂

Ruby, your editing is definitely improving! Positive Pompsie vibes here. Great work!
Renovations recommended! And that pool tho! Gawd, I've always wondered because it is such a cheap option that it tempts me but I just cannot resist a clean and reliable stay that's over 3.5 stars.
So did Pompsie pick the music for this video? lol Awesome videos love your channel!
I WAS THERE IN SEPTEMBER ITS GROSS OUR BATHROOM SMELT LIKE THE HOUSKEEPING TOOK A DEUCE AND LEFT...Also the dog rooms are gross as well..
Great video, Ruby! You put a lot of effort into this. 💕
I stayed at the Excalibur three nights back in 1993. It was a newer hotel which opened in 1990. I enjoyed my stay.
Glad to see after all these years it still isn’t a bad place to stay. But now there are so many other choices.
Fair review. So many reviewers are go/no go with everything. You leave some room for the budget traveler. For me, looking at this room for sub-100 vs other options at 160+ I might choose to save some $$.
7:40 "I didn't get you taking the shot." LMAO That was hilarious!!
I want to review the reviewer... relax it's a good review. I first binged yellow productions... I like him. He specializes in travel tips, hotel values, and cheap eats. He is good at what he does for sure, and a very smart guy. But he does not drink nor gamble... and that leaves him just a bit short for my needs. I then watched plenty of "Pompsie". He is mostly entertaining. He discovered that since he has 97k subs he can negotiate comped rooms and basically make every review a vacation for himself and his GF and family. He is AWLAYS going to get a pristine room with a view, and other goodies. So his takes on the rooms is worthless for us. But his production value is high and he is entertaining. I still learn many things from his wandering about and discovering entertainment. Then I came to Ruby... IMO the best LV reviewer. You work the system to show how we can save money, but you do not take comps based on your YT channel (smart). Your eats and drinks reviews are the BEST. Production value is high and very entertaining... and you guys are having fun and it shows. Keep up the great work!
I love your editing style! Great video 🥳
Thank you for taking the risk that I wasn't willing to take, great review!!! New subscriber
Stay there...it's a blast! Just make sure you stay in the ROYAL Tower. You'll love it! I had a suite there once that would knock your socks off!
If they have the castle an updated paint job and some interior renovations they could have another peak resort but in a more family friendly style. I don’t believe MGM is fully utilizing the property.
I stayed at the Excalibur 20 years ago & it wasn't that great then. Looks like they haven't upgraded anything since I stayed there. Too bad since there was a several month closure during the pandemic; would have been a good time for upgrades, repainting & all carpets shampooed.
All the hotels could have upgraded rooms during Covid shutdowns. A pity not all of them did.
The first 18 seconds of this video are the best 18 seconds of content I've ever seen. Seriously morphenomenal.
I only go there for the gambling(seem to win more often here) and Krispy Kreme! P.S. the Sailor Moon part was cute!
Love your videos. I just discovered you a few days ago. Keep up the great work
Your review matched my experience when I stayed there, right down to having to call about my dirty room and switching rooms. I love the Excalibur for all the reasons you mentioned, but I usually stay at MGM or NYNY.
I love Vegas and I love watching these videos thank you Ruby aka BeastMaster64!
Thank you for being Tribute (hunger games reference 🤣) for the rest of us. That was utterly ridiculous how nasty that place was🤢
i definitely agree the casino there is super underrated, we always make sure to play there a few times!
I stayed there in October, 2019 and thank goodness I upgraded! Because I had a nice clean room!
The Excalibur looks like such a nice Hotel from the outside. I would not stay there but I would gamble there. I have been to Vegas twice and never went into a lot of these places. That room was so gross, no exaggeration at all.
First time I ever went to Vegas, spring break after my 21st birthday, we *almost* stayed at Excalibur because of how dirt cheap it was. Wound up at the Flamingo instead and damn I feel like we dodged a bullet after seeing all those...specimens in that room 🤮

First time to comment, but I love your and Mr. Ruby’s videos. I have never been to Vegas but feel like a total insider. So thanks.
The only thing I have a reason to go to Excalibur is for the Krispy Creme Donuts 🍩 😂
In 1991 my Mom and Stepdad were married at the Excalibur. At that time the Excalibur was fairly new (opened up in June of 1990). My parents myself and my wife and kids and a bunch of us (friends), stayed there for their wedding. We had an unbelievably great time. Everything was so new there. From what I understand, they've taken out a lot of the old things that were there. It's a shame to see things go down hill.
over your extended stay in Vegas could you rate the different hotels and casinos you stayed at? Either separating the casino and hotel or combining them together to arrive a rating.
I'm a Vegas local and I agree with this video. What I am MORE interested in is your shirt and choice of music! I have an entire room dedicated to sailor moon! Let's be friends 😁
I'm literally at the hotel right now lol, it's not terribly bad, the 4d movies and the arcade is fun.
Lolz. Bro, if you can only afford to stay at the Excalibur, then Vegas is likely not the place for you.

The amount of dried, crusted bodily human secretions. And the chair appeared to have a noticeable amount cocaine residue. Man if those walls in that hotel room could talk…. I visited the casino only in 1994 (only 4 years old at the time) and it was the largest gaming casino in the World at that time. And it also had the most rooms of any Las Vegas casino ever built.
A few years ago, when I worked for Amazon and was in Vegas with my counterparts from Autodesk, we hit up the Nacho Daddy in Fremont. Usually clorine is what they use if there was a lot of barf in the room..... they did that at a lodge where the last people partied and i heard there was puke on the floors, walls and beds.... the chlorine after they cleaned it was so strong you needed a gas mask lol
The trouble with Las Vegas hotel/casino's is that they make so much money from the casino that no one is keeping them in check when it comes to the state of the hotel.

@@arlinecarreyn2027 my comp room through myvegas and my $29 room rate was only for resort tower. Think I can upgrade? I was thinking it's probably only $10 more a night
@@kevinmer2489 $10 sounds right. If you have an MLife card, you can go to the MLife counter to check in instead of standing in the long line.
