    Three main takeaways from this video:
    1. USAPL is doing everything they can to make the powerlifting experience worse for the lifter and the sport overall, basically scamming with the lifetime deal.
    2. While recovering from injury, it’s worthwhile to keep the overall cycle structure the same, but reduce the initial set count, intensity, and duration of cycle, increase back to healthy baseline levels as needed when your injury improves
    3. Traffic Cone mode enhances strength, recovery, and sex appeal, and we must buy.

      Agree with Andrew - there is fed poltics bullshit all around the world - my national fed got kicked out of the IPF and suddenly my weightclass changed from right on my walk-around weight of 66kg to being smack in the middle of a 69kg class. My fed made it harder for other feds to have legit drug testing. It sucks, but stay focused on lifting and the good people in the community and how you can help the community yourself.

    • @nickcollins9170
      @nickcollins9170 3 года назад +1

      Their not tho. Their sketchy with their business practice and seem to not give a fuck about the lifter who is the paying customer to their company to compete. Disgusting. All while they have the vail of "strict judging" which very often in their meets is rlly just gratuitous judging in the direction of making the lifts harder which causes deflated and underwhelming performances by lifters. Usually they call a squat high even if its meets definite standards in the rule manual, sometimes they call a good squat thats just there a good lift, they will always call squats that are ATG good, and sometimes they will even call high squats good, and then red light another good lift in the same meet. I think USPA has better and more consistent judging. USAPL standards are a meme where lifters gotta go in wondering if their gonna get reds all over bc of arbitrary technicalities. Tested USPA division should definitely look into this and try to emerge as a clear response to the USAPL. Ive had issues with their judging in the past as Ive competed with them in past, but recently with the taking pictures and video ban so they can make more money and then this, its clear they have no morals and say ethics be damned, their more concerned about their bottomline than the experience of the lifters, because its money for them and the associated sponsors FIRST but quality and consideration of the competition for the lifters SECOND. And then they'll have the balls to act like other feds are shitty and have this smug prick attitude as if their doing you a favor to put on meets while ur the one sustaining their livelihood. Sad.

So I don’t think there will be much of an issue with people buying their way into raw nats but I can I understand why that can be an area of concern. It’s been a frustrating year for both lifters and the USAPL hoping things get better as society goes back to normal.

    Most feds at a bb show won't let you take videos at their show or give you a critique without paying for it which can be costly

This would go against my own wanting to compete but I know where I stand strength wise. @@zachdion2586 You should go look up testing numbers some time. Most lifters are never tested.

      @@dalem04 Russel was tested close to 20 times in the last two years. A lot aren’t tested outside of competition but the ones who you’d assume would be on gear are tested a lot. Ray Williams was tested about a month and a half ago and isn’t planning on competing for a long time. The only way I think they’d be unnatural is if the usapl lied about test results which I don’t see happening because they are always trying to prove they are a natural organization and if they had the chance to prove one of their big lifters unnatural they would.
