Man I crack up at this dude but he was one of my top vocalists that I admire. People slept on this dude. I wish he was still around to give us some good music because the stuff we have these days is whack! I graduated high school in 94 and sung this song as a senior project in music class....lol! One of the best vocalist in the R&B game. We don't have em' like this anymore.
I like how freely Dino used his vocal talent. FUNDAMENTALS!!...The man sang 'Knockin da boots' in sooo many different ways but every single time he sang it, HE ALWAYS USED HIS HANDS TAPPING THAT MIC AS HIS METRONOME. If he wasn't using his hands on the mic, he snapped his fingers, stomped his foot, did ANYTHING to to stay on beat!! No matter how many styles he sang the song in, how he was positioned on the stage, how many runs, riffs, impromptus he put in a song, he always kept his hands tapping on that microphone, or used ANYTHING to stay on beat so he could transition back to what the note was SUPPOSED to be. He did that without even having to think about it. Now that's very hard to teach! Especially if you're the type of singer that likes to incorporate a lot of riffs in your songs.
I really don’t like riffs but Dino is the one singer that made it sound better with riffs. I actually prefer his live sets vs album. Blows my mind he isn’t mentioned as one of the best. HIs vocals are impeccable 🔥
Dino’s voice is timeless and is vocal ability is amazing!!!!! So much passion. You will forever be a King in my eyes!!!!! Rest In Peace with our God King ❤️ 😘 💋
