Getting settled in a new place can be tough 😭. I hope you are able to make your place at least comfy so it does feel a little bit more like home. I remember hardly buying anything for my place when I lived in China. I had sheets provided and I basically just bought one mug, a French press, a blanket, and a toothbrush holder. It didn’t really feel like home for the first couple of months. What are you thinking for grad school? It could def be worth it! If you are looking, here are some things I wish people told me when I was applying: 1. (If relevant) Reach out to the professors you want to work with the summer before you apply. Ask if they are taking students/have funding. 2. Depending on the program, a lot of schools will pay for you to go to school. Like cover tuition, give you a stipend, etc. Def ask other grad students if they feel supported financially. It could help you decide on which program to choose. 3. Another thing to ask the other grad students in the program is if they feel supported in general. Is their advisor giving good guidance, are there good resources to help you succeed, is there any dept toxicity. 4. Also ask what they do for fun or to help relax around town. Having a good cohort and having things to do outside of your grad program ended up being more important than I expected. Sorry for the wall of text! But I hope things get easier for you and I love the videos! ❤️

But I’m sure there are programs who do fund their students using a teaching assistantship (Your teaching experience will definitely advantageous if you want one!). My experience was a mixed bag. But that was due to couple of things: covid making it difficult to do my research and burnout from not maintaining a work/life balance. But I made friends with the other grad students in my program and they made my time there a lot better. My advice if you do decide to go to grad school is to try to maintain a work/life balance. Go on that weekend trip or go out to trivia or karaoke with your friends. It’ll make a huge difference.

I love Rituals body oil after the shower. I've always gotten the Ritual of Ayurveda (which is an Indian rose scent) but they have lots of different ones. 😊😊

I love bangs too except in the summer. I have wavy hair and if I have bangs in the summer they have their own mind. In the winter they stay straight, but humidity and perspiration in the summer they drive me nuts.
