If it weren't for the dreamy vision of Parappa thinking about the scolding he could get from Kat for failing to get the cake in the first game, I would call Kat's characterization in the anime to be super out of left field and out of nowhere. And that's giving the anime the benefit of the doubt because we know Parappa tends to overily exaggerate his thoughts because of his anxiety in those specific situations.

It was included in an early torrent from the "Fighting Magic" group, which only fansubbed four episodes. I've been looking for episode 12 and 14-26, and even 27-30 as well, but haven't managed to find them yet. Episode 27 is already uploaded, just do a quick search here on youtube.
