- Los Pumas could make Argentina the first country in history to hold the Rugby and Soccer World Cups simultaneously.
The South Americans have made massive strides since their last tournament, with Michael Cheika at the helm. They really are at times, one of the most dangerous attacking sides in World Rugby.
I analyse all the main talking points from Los Pumas camp, including standout players, form, play style and an overall prediction for the tournament.

Great video!! I'm expecting to see some set plays from Cheika as we saw on RWC2015 from Australia(at least on pool stage). From the skills side in my opinion, Argentina needs/relies on Boffelli air play a lot. Also the fly half renewal may affect. In overall, as you say, it's difficult to predict. Hope they have a decent rwc, what is sure is that we will support as always. Greetings from Argentina!

Ok, I think the first game will set the case. If we beat England that will put probably Fiji as the QF match and that may be the way to SF. Australia is the other option and that may go either way. So that are two probable ways to resch SF. Also get sacked at QF. But it all depends on the Pumas themselves. They CAN do it.

Are very well coached and did not beat the All Blacks by chance.
They will , in my opion be very competitive and cause a few upsets.
You should repost this analysis after the quarter finals. Your predictions for Argentina performance were very accurate. The pools and fixtures gave the Argentinas a little tail wind but the fact is they are into de semis and now no one can tell how far they can go...

Rugby is still semi-pro in Argentina and not as popular of a sport, this team has worked very hard to be where they’re at right now and for the 1st time in our short history the team is confident that they can beat anyone on any given day, very positive thinking!

They are a good side. In the last 18 months they've beaten the All Blacks in New Zealand, the Wallabies in Australia and England at Twickenham. I make them the favourites against the English ... as long as they play properly!

Not to say we compete against AB side by side....but this last RC was no point of reference...AB players were on peak form of SR and most Pumas haven't played for 2 month

Argentina wil reach semis and the final standing will depend on the rivals it faces. Los pumas will defeat any European nation or Australia, if they dont face the springboks or all blacks, Argentina can win the world cup

The pumas are heading straight to the semis. There’s nothing to underestimate. They are the best on that side of the draw. Then they’ll lose comfortably in the semis
