For those who are curious, this changes your DNS (Domain Name Server) from your ISPs to a Google Public DNS. Some ISPs just have terrible DNS, so switching to Google's, which inherently have plenty of bandwidth, can improve things drastically.
You can do the same operation in your router settings as well.

DNS settings does not improve your internet speed, but the DNS servers in this video replys faster, its googles DNS servers = lots of expensive hardware.

LethalvD it didn't work for me sadly was hoping to get to the levels you showed my download is 23.91 Mbps Latency 91ms tragic absolutely tragic.
Girthy Murphy there are other servers out there you can piggy back off of also. But maybe your current DNS is adequate. Find a closer one to your location then Googles servers.

When I do the speed test I get 221mbs wireless but when downloading a half a gigabyte update game it goes at 50kbs less than 1 mbs!! Why?! On bigger file downloads it doesnt go over 80mbs

I know what you mean, I bought a one s and it came with battlefield 1 download. I had to download it at a friends place because I have a capped data plan. It took 16hrs over 2 days. I bought "dying light" game disc and had to download a 20G update yesterday. It took around 6hrs.

What if your internet speed just bouces around like mine starts at 450 then drops to 150 and it just goes up and down between the speeds

It’s either my WiFi is doodoo or something is wrong with my Xbox (I doubt it’s my Xbox), when I play fortnite my auto ms is 19 but when I start playing I get 1,100 ping every single game for about 15 seconds and it goes back to my normal ms 19, it’s weird idk if it’s an error :(

What's the highest speed the xbox one will pick up? I've got 150mb but the console only picks up 78mb wireless ... is that normal?
Thanks so much I usually have good Internet but lately when downloading/updating a game it start off at over 80mbps and then drops and drops to like 2mbps 😖 if I pause and then start it, it goes back up to 80mbps and then drops all the way down again!! After putting in the new dns setting it is now consistently on 80mbps or more!! No more dropping. Thanks again👍

Can anyone help me I have great Internet on my phone and computer but when I go to play my Xbox it starts to lag really bad I have know idea why?. I’m wireless and pull anywhere from 60-110 mbps and my ping is usually anywhere from 60-80 it’s really frustrating and I could really use the help.

I have 256Mbps download speed and 134Mbps upload speed... my only problem is my latency. I tried this DNS and it didn’t work. I originally had 386 and this DNS got me to 600 now I set it to the previous DNS, I ran some tests and my latency keeps 300+ can anyone please help? This randomly started happening 2 days ago.
