Damn. These guys know all the notes.
The Gibson sounds like it has reverb, wonderful
Keeping an entire generation of music alive with this playing, thank you both!!
You jazz guitarists are a special breed. Incredible
Nick is an institution in the San Francisco Bay Area surprised to see him featured here. Very cool, leads some great Benny Goodman, Count Basie combos
These guys know how to swing. Everything relates to the melody.
I would venture to say that was the best performance i have seen on this channel for the last three years that I have watching. Those guitars sound like they are plugged in. Amazing stuff.
Killer players.....they complement each other impeccably......love it
I almost shed tears...Beautiful
Absolutely top notch performance. Jonathan and Nick, thanks for coming to Norm's and giving us a real treat. Only at Norm's can you get this stuff. 👌👍🙌
That was first class!

Im only on youtube for this glorious Norm channel, and Jonathan Stout is a sheer pleasure to enjoy
Jazz, beautiful Jazz!
2:24 how the hell can you be oblivious to this beautiful music and wander around the store ?
I was thinking the same damn thing..I would have been stopped in my tracks!
Feel like a lot of people now days have never known what beautiful music sounds like
I could listen to these guy all night.
Wow. Incredible playing.
Lovely!
Finally people that can actually play.Great post Norm!
Thats the shit!!! Old school!!! Listen to that chunk
Now that is exactly the way you strum one of those classic beasts! They did those Epi's proud.
I always wondered what you did with those kind of guitars. Now I know. that was great.
I could watch these guys all day 😎🎸👍
Oh man, loved that playing.....thanks fellas
The very best of the very best - from the people who made those guitars, the gentlemen playing here and Jen's sympathetic and informed cinematography (put her up for an Oscar!)
each note is razor-sharp clear. amazing guitars and way better amazing players!
I like the warm sound of the Epi over the harsh sound of the L-5. Both guys are great players. They make that song sound simpler than I thought it was. I'll learn this one. Thanks for posting.
That’s why this is the best site on youtube.
What if I'm not interested in guitars at all
These guys from the Renaissance😆😆 ,perfect duo
That does it, before I die I need to visit Norms Guitar shop.
cool dry and focused sound coming out of that L5 !!
Love that tune, Bing Crosby recorded it around 1932, great job by these guys!
holy crap, about the best i've seen on this channel in a long time! .... long time = months
So glad to see Jonathan Stout back in the store. Beautiful guitars and amazing playing as always. As a fellow jazzer, I can dig it!
Hahaha, i dont know how to react to a comment like that from you Mr. Stranger!!!!
I'm pretty sure Jonathan Stout was playing that Emperor a year ago.
Is it the same one.....?
Does that mean you can't sell it....?
Ok. I'll take it off your hands .....$20.....?
@@billygoatgruff2554 ...hey! I remember that
Wesley alan Yeah you bid against me and you and me are gonna fall out..... Lol
@@billygoatgruff2554 ...hahaha, one time my wife was biding on a big muff, buy the other person she was biding against was my front mans girl friend, lol! ....that was years ago, your comment reminds me of that, lok!
Sounds fantastic
wow , that L7 really booms , huge sound , the Emperor sounds good too but not as loud or resonant , still a great song and very well played by both gents , thanks guys , Jen , and thanks Norm
Great picking!!!!! Cool to see. my friend Nick here!!!!!
Swing à la Django !!! Fabuleux*****
Wow that was classic. Sheeesh they sure do them guitars justice!
Definitely first class. Excellent job. Really enjoying these old archtops 🙂
The dude on the left was a literal metronome
Freddie Green reborn
Swinging!
I always dig watching the videos you all upload..and I really enjoy all of the ferociously talented players in the store..everyone.
..but I gotta' admit the truth.
The jazzers always catch my attention the most..
The players.
The tunes
The guitars.
Thanks for posting this.
What a treat ! You both are amazing..thank You
JS sets the bar for us all. A GREAL GUITAR PLAYER.
Love it.... and hats off to Jen for the tight shots that really help me improve my own playing.....
thanks much for the upload
Talented dudes, thanks.
How cool! No overdriven first tube! Love the sound. Please tell Norm that he can stop telling Mark to turn the guitars WIDE freaking open... Seeing Mark’s own show now, I see and hear he knows how to do clean.... so, who says to keep turning up the guitars to max? A great electric in clean will sound a lot like these wonderful gems... Awesome jazz... Gotta look up these guys!
Especially a Strat, most beautiful sounds in the world. I'm kidding. You're right, they do sound great clean.
What a pleasure! Gorgeous!
Just so beautiful!!!!!
