    The speakers were made in 1975, not 1980. They use a motion sensor in the woofer, providing feedback to reduce distortion at high volumes, compensating non linearities at high excursion, they are very sophisticated speakers!

    The sensitivity is not nearly as high as you quote. The error comes from the fact that these are powered speakers, and you feed them a line-level signal, not the output of a power amp. The actual sensitivity of the woofer is more like 84dB/1W/1M, giving a maximum SPL of about 101dB at one meter at midbass frequencies.

    Those are the insane motion feedback units! Not sure how many diffwrent ones exist ut they are all insane! (You can see an extra pair of leads going into the cone.)

    You could have at least used 80's or 80's style music for the background music instead of that icky yucky modern music that just wants to make me puke!

      100% True, but perhaps you could suggest better copyright-free music?

      No music at all is preferable to that crappy music

    I guarantee, those Original Holland made thing can beat today's most equipments both tonally and as per performance.
    I can see two darlington pair in class B push pull configuration with delay protection. I think class AB configuration is not implemented those days.
    Anyways, nobody can beat the Dutch audio legend.. ❤❤🎉🎉

    Is that a woofer or full range speaker ?

    • @Techscrews
      @Techscrews  Месяц назад

      which one ? This Philips louspeaker is 3-way, that mean there are at least 3 speaker drivers, that cover freq. range.
