- We sail to another beautiful island, one that is visited by less than 3 cruisers every year. On the way, we tow the dinghy and Margarida notices a problem. While still sailing she spiderwoman's across fixes the problem all at 5 knots.
Payadus Island is paradise for us. We have lunch with a Guna Indian in his hut but as the sun starts to go down the anchorage becomes even more rolley so we head to Tigre Island (a traditional village) to sleep but check out the island before the sunset.

I finally finished watching all your videos. Other than the damaged coral, I enjoyed them. You provide an entertaining, yet real look at what it's like to sail on a budget. I could do four dollars a day ($120 a month) but couldn't afford all the boat repairs. I'll have to live vicariously through you. Enjoy your trip.

That dingy is a aluminum hull with a eye for towing way better than pulling from the rings in the tubes

Try rigging a pole off the side of your mast. Attach a large bucket in the water a couple of meters down on a line at the end of the pole. That will stabilize the rolling significantly. It might be all you need to keep Margarida's tummy happy. If you like it maybe you could rig one off both sides to double the stabilizing effect. You'll look like a fishing trawler.
I did that on another's boat but it bucket would have been destroyed after 30 minutes
Use a three point tow bridle. Better yet put it up when doing more than a one hour passage.

I love pulpo and calamar with concha de mejillon or almejas and camaron for ceviche. That would be the perfect island to set up tent for a couple days of still sleeping.
I don’t think my OCD would allow me to pull the dingy if I had davits to store it.

Peter tow the dingy from the eye on the bow [ the metal part ] if you use the D rings attached to the hypalon they will pull off possibly holing the tube. Use a metal shackel on the end of the rope rather tying rope to boat directly. My how Margarita has blossomed into a movie star from the once camera shy girl.

The Sailor got an awesome wife! lol. I was watching her jump to the dinghy like spider woman, and all I could think about was how awesome she is, and all the times Peter used to say, "Sailor needs a wife". And I'm so glad he found such an awesome wife! He needed someone big enough to keep him in line, Okey, maybe she barley made that part, but what she's missing in size she makes up in her determination!. lol.

Pete, I've seen all types of dinghies towed astern by vessels of many lengths and speeds. I have seen wooden classics, fibreglass modern and inflatables turned upside down by the wind and seas astern......outboards on and not! What a hassle! Me, I would raise it on the davits and avoid the wreckage! Short calm tows excepted! Great show....always look forward to your weekly vid! Roger.

Very beautiful, the island was very picturesque with the sand flows through the fringing reef! Probably helps with preservation not to have a protected anchorage. Oh, I'd personally never tow an inflatable dinghy that way, attach to the aluminium eye and even then I'd have a shock absorber in the tow line. Negative I know, but hard to explain the setup! Thanks for sharing 😀

Another great video. But I do not think you should put the towing stress on the two rings. The main pull should be on the middle ring that is connected to the fiberglass. Can rig with a bridle to the two rings if necessary

I was crewing on a boat towing the tender and outboard & the outboard fell off, it's a ball ache but I'd take it off if I were you...
You might check into putting your transmission into reverse while sailing- owners of my boat tried that for awhile and it ruined the transmission. There is a technical reason altho I don't know the reason. Yours might be fine but better ask some experts. Thx.

Rosie and I sailed a few times off Florida and Maine also off Hawaii. She started getting seasick first then later I also got queasy. It seemed like that opened the door to being sick at just a little motion. We stopped sailing and now take our land yacht. Does medicine work or not?
Doesn't seem to Bill....she was good on the Catamaran, that motion suits her but even in flat oceans in the mono she gets sick after 30 minutes or so
@@SAILINGintoFREEDOM It's the rocking and rolling.When we would be cutting through the water there was no problem. When we would stop out in the ocean for any reason and bob,then the sickness hits. I was uncomfortable even if I wasn't sick knowing Rosie was. Good luck, hope you find a solution.

Your going to pull the rings off towing it that way. Use a single attachment to the metal hull bow ring. Tow it low on your vessel.
