    These wild horses are one more beautiful than the other. Makes you think that keeping them in the wild is better for the herds. They all look healthy.

    Wild horses lost their freedom and families in brutal roundups. That is wrong. Please protect such wonderful animals. We need no space for cattle profit.

    I would love to have a wild horse one day but taking them out of the wild does make me feel guilty.

    • @TreyNitrotoluene
      @TreyNitrotoluene 3 года назад +4

      I wouldn't. They are only "wild" because the conquistadors dumped them. They are more domesticated than cats yet we've romanticized them living at the mercy of wolves, droughts and disease. I think its about as romantic as finding kittens in a trash can, which Ive also rescued.

    • @lucyb8802
      @lucyb8802 3 года назад +3

      @@TreyNitrotoluene It makes me feel guilty because we are taking them from their families and their land. It's also upsetting that abusing horses has been normalised in the horse world so a lot of them will have a crappy life. I understand though that the way everything is now, it's probably best for some of them.

    • @annegulbransen3961
      @annegulbransen3961 3 года назад +4

      They are overpopulated and starving. You would be saving one.

    • @lucyb8802
      @lucyb8802 3 года назад

      @@annegulbransen3961 I'm aware of the issues but I don't see it as a very sustainable way of managing the Mustangs, I'm not saying it should stop just that other methods could be introduced at the same time. It also upsets me that statistically the majority will go to abusive (a lot are unintentionally abusive) homes.

    • @annegulbransen3961

      @AILEEN KRAKLAU only the horses on Assateague Island, Maryland get the birth control dart. The ponies on Assateague Island, Virginia are owned by the volunteer fire department on Chincoteague Island and the foals are auctioned off every year as a fund raiser. BLM hopes to use the birth control out west as well but right now there are just so many that they have to get the numbers down before birth control is worth while. With about 95,000 mustangs out west, and lets say approximately half of that are mares (I'm just guessing. I really don't know how many mares there are) That is about 47,000 mares to dart every year. That is just too many at this point to account for in records saying which ones are on the vaccine and which aren't. They are starting to do this in some of the smaller herd management areas but it's expensive for the number of horses in the entire west. Hopefully someday but right now they are focusing on getting the numbers down.

    Sorry, I do not agree with the cruelty the way you gather the horse's. You go in with helicopter and even run into the with the helicopter and break there legs, or much worse kill them. And the cruelty of they way are kept in the coral. You are treat these poor animal, with cruelty
    If you want to creat a hurd size that is smaller, then make allot of the studs gilding's. You are making our wild horses extinct. They should be on the in danger species list. God bless these gifts from him the beautiful wild horses.
    They need to live out there life free.
    May God have mercy on your souls.

      For one thats all a lie and two these horses are not "wild" they are feral and are domesticated animals who should never have been released, they arent true wild animals like the East's costs wild horses.
