I knew a video like this was inevitable :) I just picked up a new MacBook Pro. they say the screen gets a lot darker so this should be nice for night work.
My Canon EOS SL1 has a red menu option. I assume the SL2, and now SL3 do as well. This has worked great for my Astro photography at Headlands DSP. Disappointed to find out my new Canon 5D Mark IV Does not 😢. Now looking for a static film to fit the LCD.
Ive Played With Those Setting Forever In The Day Years Ago When Themes And Screensavers Were A Thing😂😂Never Thought About That,But Thank You,When I Get Mine Out,Ill Switch It ,But Only Image Here,and Down At My Friends Angus Farm,and A Bortle 3 Sky,My Backyard Is 4,Great Video,and Info,Thank You,and Clear Skies🙏🏻❤️✨🔭🌏

That should be nice. Bummer about Mac is that you can't customize it as much as Windows but you can still tweak it to get pretty dim.

When we have star parties, we have a hard rule that people can only use red light and no other lights are allowed and it works always !!
Same With Ours,If A Friend And I Want To Image,We Have The Combination To Get In The Gate,and The Bathroom😂😂😂At Least They Love Us,lol

So does my club, but people new to the hobby might not be aware of these settings, which is why I made this one :D
