Indeed! I don’t see wearing these around like a chiller but as a water shoe, pool shoe, stuff it in your hiking pack for some river time… perfect. I think some people are trying to rock this as like street fashion… might be disappointing in that respect. But I mean… more comfy than some freaking all foam slides.

ok so here is my review after this weekend. by the pool or using them for in and out of the water so your feet dont burn on hot concrete they pretty sick. for hiking a waterfall or walking through a creek they were not great. This is new to me. I have loved these shoes until this weekend in the mountains. they are so comfortable with socks on to hike in. they are pretty comfortable to hike in without socks.... but once your feet and shoes are saturated it's like a slip fest in there. I felt like I was going to twist my ankle walking around in the water at paradise falls and looking glass falls in north carolina. in the end I took the insoles out and that fixed a lot of the problems. the insoles just make you slide around too much when you're wet. you dont notice it until you're trying to walk down a hill and your feet are just sliding into the front of the shoe. I love this shoe for just chilling at the pool or maybe the beach but for full on walking over rocks in a river I was struggling. once I took the insoles out it was so much better. you're just sitting way lower in the shoe so you're not sliding over the side of the shoe if that makes any sense. the quest for the perfect water shoe continues... drat. sandals just might be the move but I just have a childhood aversion to sandals. haha

I'm at the high end of a size 9 width wise, but will be wearing them without socks.. so i am hoping 9 will be fine. Nike don't sell the mandarin and black in UK rn which is a shame so will have to pick up the plain black i think. As you said, they're not really 'dope', but they're they're really 'something' 😅.

I found that if you’re wearing these in a super wet outdoor environment they work better without insoles
@@DavidBluetile ah interesting. I'm planning to use them to go swimming at the beach, and then wearing back while cycling or driving back home after. I guess wearing without insoles will make water drainage quicker and give me a little extra room too if they are tight.

The strings are pretty soft
Curious if its true to size? if you wear size 10.5 do you round up to 11 or you go down 10 since it doesn't have the half size option.
I wear 11.5 and I got a 12. Im glad I got the 12 because it’s really perfect. I think 11.5 would have been small on me

@@Franz_DG I say if you're a half size go up. I know feet are different..... but I can't imagine going down in these. let me know what you decide and what your thoughts are when you do!
Do you have any of the new mountain fly low or the new acg Mocs? Because I'm TTS in the Mocs but went up 1/2 in the mountain lows & even a full size for the gortex version. I have a slightly wide foot in toe box. I don't know if I should go UP FULL 12 or TTS 11 like the mocks. Are the cats a wide silhouette? Thanks
the water cats are super wide. after walking through rivers and hiking water falls this weekend I found they work better without the insoles. I loved this shoe until actually hiking in them. flat surfaces are fine. I imagine like walking around in wet crocs. rocky surfaces are not easy to navigate in this shoe because you're sliding around too much. I need to do a new review or just compare water shoe experiences. I just dont get to hike as much as I want to.
Do you think it's good looking? If I'm wearing Pegasus UK 10.5 / US 11.5, should I get this Watercat+ in UK 11 / US 12 or UK 10 / US 11? Is this selling for limited time or there will be restock?
These are sold out in this color but they will have new colors. I think get a US 12. These also are crazy when fully wet. My feet were sliding around inside the shoe like crazy when trying to walk through a river bed. I ended up taking the insole out and they worked much better
I see, I hope I can make them to restock of the university gold yellow color be used I really want them but still haven't got the money for it yet and my US 12 size is gone
But my mom say the shoes will loose and looks out of shape after long time because the upper use strings which will loosen after sometime, do you think it is true?
Also, is there drop in the shoes like a lot running shoes where the heel is higher than the toes?

i have these and my only complaint is they don't come in all white.

How's the fit? Did u go with ur reg.sz.or u went up a sz.? I wear a sz.14 in Af1's but I wear a sz.15 in Airmax's and J's cuz they tend to be cut more narrow then the Af1's. And I can't make up my mind and the Nike store by me doesn't carry these for me and even if they did I doubt they would have a 14 or 15 to try on.

@@DavidBluetile so, after the whole month do you feel like you chose the right size? I mean, they say you have to break them a little bit, before they fit perfect. Or maybe you have a wide foot, so there is no chance size down could have fit good?
I definitely couldn't size down. they did get a little looser. ultimately feet are sooo different and the only real way to figure out how they're going to work is to try em. these are my favorite water shoes ive ever had so far. I didnt get these for casual wear at all. I really just got em for camping and dipping in the river.

came back to this because I wore them hiking waterfalls this weekend and it was... tumultuous. I took the insoles out so that I would sit lower in the shoe and after that I didnt slide around as much. for casual wet areas like the pool or just any flat surface walking these are fine. once you're trying to climb around in the water on unstable surfaces... I was sliding around in these way too much. I'll need to do a new review after wearing them to several waterfalls.
