Goa's charm is this same Portuguese legacy. India has a long coastline (6,100 kilometers), from Gujarat in the west, circumventing around Indian tip to Bengal in the East. But how many Goas are there? What are the alternatives? None has a legacy of Goa.
ps. Varkala in Kerala is doing a good job coming up as a potential alternative.

Some of our ancestors who allied with Shri Krishnadevaraya Maharaj of Vijayanagar and his vassals from Honavar did invite Afonso de Albuquerque to free our territories of Goa from the Turkic Adil Shahs. But ultimately after the demise of Afonso, the Portuguese Fidalgos misused their power to conquer more territories like Bardez and later Salcete and used the Catholic Inquisition tribunals to consolidate their reign over the people. Truth is bitter to our Catholic brethren who are in utter denial of their own history. Hope someday sense prevails.

Some corrections: Christianity existed in India more than 1,000 years before Portuguese arrived, Christianity is an Asian religion that the west adopted quickly, Portuguese came to trade in India and did not loot like the British, Portuguese abolished child marriage, Sati, caste system on the other hand educated Goans to be aware of their rights. Christians used to burn women alive in Europe. #Witch Hunting. Read the book “ Hammer of the Witches “ written by Heinrich Kramer. The bishops promoted burning old and sickly women. And also women with unknown diseases because they believed they were possessed by Satan. So the claim the Portuguese made India free from so called Sati itself stands on shaky grounds. Plus we all know about Atrocity Literature. Written and promoted by colonial powers to hide their crimes and insult native cultures and boast their own actions to justify their unholy rule. And if you have any issues with facts from my video, kindly counter specific points from credible sources , or else your words are mere output of insecure “ he said she said”, because I exposed the sins of your ancestors, and you are too proud to admit them.

I am surprised that how Goan Hindus were so meek that they did not resist and did not fight even a single battle to defeat portuguese.Contrast this to attempt by Portuguese in Vasai(wrongly called as Bassein) near Mumbai where portuguese similarly converted some Brahmins. The Vasikar Brahmins asked for help from Peshwa from Pune, who was busy preparing for his conquest of Malwa and Bundelkhand from Mughals.Hence Bajirao Peshwa deputed his brother Chimaji Appa Peshwa to defeat and oust Portuguese from Maratha Territory .Chimaji Appa Peshwa destroyed Portuguese army and killed Portuguese General of Vasai and also conquered Thane (which was Jail of Portuguese) and also conquered Velapur(Now called Belapur and is part ofNavi Mumbai).Chimaji Appa Built Temples inside Vasai Fort and Grand Statue of Chimaji Appa Peshwa stands inside the Vasai Fort conquered by him after defeating Portuguese. Thus, ended the attempt of Portuguese to encroch on Maratha Territory. Why Goan Hindus could not even make an attempt to resist Potuguese inquisition and meekly surrendered?

You need to read better in regard to the subject of inquisition, quoting Priolkars book itself alone shows your lack of thorough study on the given subject. Academics don’t even take Priolkars book seriously which sources heavily from secondary sources.

Still. Buddha is a title. There are 28 Buddhas as per Buddhism, is it one or all were avatars. Dr Sriram Arya was a Arya samaji. He was a writer, one of his books, Avtarvad par 31 prashna, he mentions there are 3 requirements for an avatar as per Gita. One of them is establishment of religion. Buddha was a nastik, means he can't be an avatar. Do you know Padmapani avalokateshwar in Buddhism and who they are.
Lot of people suffered in our history but taking one event & painting the full period as bad doesn't reflect good intentions.

No, all Hindus were tortured. But Brahmins were targeted more because they handled the matters of faith, medicine, education and intellect. So targeting Brahmins was always a method of Islamists and Missionaries to target Hinduism. As Brahmins never converted, even when they were killed. Portuguese acknowledged and said, “ that if there were no Brahmins we would have converted all Hindus to Christianity, but that could never happen”
