I don't think all of the records were destroyed. You can still look up the digital archives to find portuguese copies provided you are willing to actually research and can read the old script and the Portuguese language unfortunately even I can't read it myself and therefore need to depend on videos or translated copies which none have undertaken to decode. If you say that it could be biased then I can say even Mr. Priolkar could be biased and quoting only one book shows where the bias lies. Being from the scientific field I know how inaccurate it is just to refer to one source material and conveniently say that everything else is destroyed without even trying to find if the documents actually exist or no.

@@historicity9484 Just wanted to know whether you just used just one book that is Mr. Priolkar's book or found other references from historical records in Lisbon and/or Brazil? I don't think all of the records were destroyed. You can still look up the digital archives to find portuguese copies provided you are willing to actually research and can read the old script and the Portuguese language unfortunately even I can't read it myself and therefore need to depend on videos or translated copies which none have undertaken to decode. If you say that it could be biased then I can say even Mr. Priolkar could be biased and quoting only one book shows where the bias lies. Being from the scientific field I know how inaccurate it is just to refer to one source material and conveniently say that everything else is destroyed without even trying to find if the documents actually exist or no.

Do you know why the Inquisition was actually started and who was it meant for there was collateral damage no doubt and it is a stain to the tribunal which got mixed with political ambitions but I don't think it was even meant for the Hindus but for Christian converts from Judaism, Islam and Hinduism who followed syncretism.

You need to read better in regard to the subject of inquisition, quoting Priolkars book itself alone shows your lack of thorough study on the given subject. Academics don’t even take Priolkars book seriously which sources heavily from secondary sources.
