15:24 So true. Mainly listening intently to your voice over. That's also why it helps to watch (listen to) the video's multiple times, because it is easy to miss some great advice.
AMAZING....this video is so useful, thanks a lot. It´s so interesting to see how you work with the colors for the maximum lights, mixing the khaki, yellow, skintone and adding a tiny bit of the medium tone, the way the osl is created, the texture of the horse and the building of contrast. A lot a things to practice and to master on this video, very well explained. Congrats on the campaign, I backed the first one and have backed this new one, blown away by this figure of Nyx, the vampire, and the diorama. Obitus bust is also coming home to have a place alongside Obitus mounted, curious to see the other bust and the rest of the unveiled 75 mm figures. Have a nice weekend and wish you a great success on the kickstarter.
Thank you so much! It was very difficult to paint to a boxart level while being under the camera and I admire every person that can do that because after doing it for the first time I've to say that it's doubling the difficulty! I'm glad you enjoyed it and I hope the next episode will be good too :)
Thank you so much for another great video Riccardo! I have one request: could you use different tracks instead of looping just the one? As you know I am also fine with no music in the background, but I might be in the minority.
11:37 Have come to the same conclusion recently myself. I keep different test or finished models on my table to compare them to my current project. Can be tone related, contrast related, finish related etcetera. Our memory is just lacking for tasks like these.
@@kimeramodels mostly horse hair :P and as you mentioned, the listening is the most important part! I watch and listen the first time usually, and then listen to it several times again as I do some easy painting steps on projects :)
@@caseyfrechette That's super nice. These feedbacks keep me going even when sometimes i think that's too much work for too little results. But then good comments like these appear and i end up thinking that if i can help at least one or two people, i did good enough.
@@kimeramodels I think it is about quality over quantity in these videos. They might not get an large amount of views, but the people that watch, get a lot out off them. You might help like 100 painters that seriously want to learn and get better instead of entertaining 1000's, that don't do any anything with the info when they are done watching.
On the edge of my seat waiting for this to go live, thanks in advance for the lesson! :) Congrats on the Ylia KS already a success too, although it was absolutely guaranteed to be. I am hoping 38mm Asteria will be available to me somehow, I hear it is a possible stretch goal. Keeping my fingers crossed, I missed the boat on the last KS.
Entrambi, rende il colore più trasparente ma annulla la tensione superficiale per cui si stende meglio e non fa pozze o strisce. Resta più uniforme che solo con l’acqua
6:04 We might have spoken about this paint before. Looks like a great color. Although PV29 has been flagged by the EPA as "Poses Unreasonable Risk" for daily use (for work). They don't mention anything related to painting with it in a acrylic medium. Spraying could be dangerous, but I think you said those heavy body acrylics don't airbrush well anyway. Inhaling small particle of this pigment seems to be something you don't wanna do. Too bad though, because again, it seems like a great pigment (although expensive).

I believe I will have to rewatch this video several times to fully crasp the tutorial. Amazing!
It’s full of good bits of info and hair 😂
me too!

We will make those miniatures available as a stretch goal during the campaign!
Truely minding blowing approach , Thank you for sharing .1
Saw this model in person and it looks incredible.
Oh thank you so much ❤️
15:54 What about slowing down the painting for some key parts, where you want us to focus on your brushstrokes?
I can try to do that for the next video yes.
21:33 Don't worry about your hair getting in the way sometimes. Other content creators have the same issue.
Video istruttivo come sempre! Il flow improver WeN lo usi puro o diluito con acqua? Che vantaggio ne trai? Semplice curiosità
