@@Boxcarphilly as stated, probably to refuel, although LAX to HND at 5,477 miles is well within the 787-10 range of 7,280 miles.

Kevin, you just answered my question! Was final assembly of this airplane ✈️ done in Everett or South Carolina? Beautiful!

-8 and -9 are built and F.A. at both locations. The -10 is only in BSC.
I work in F.A. in BSC, that's how I know.

Hi from sun drenched Scotland,😂can I ask?are most airlines now going for a retro look to their liveries?I think think the colour schemes on some of them are fantastic ❤but far and away I think the grey (!!!!?)on American airlines is fantastic hmmmm ,very odd my auld (old) brain seems to enjoy very matt natural colours and tones, I have taken to wearing beige trousers which here in Scotland make me a complete oddball, luv to all from sunny Troon 😊

I wouldn't touch a Boeing with a 20ft pole. Suprised it made it with both wings intact.

    • @marcusdamberger

Indeed, the culture of McDonnell Douglas made it's way into Boeing and hasn't left since. Heck it's current CEO isn't even an engineer or someone who had extensive aviation industry background unless you count one of his stints at GE as vice chairman of aircraft engine department. He then worked for Blackstone investment overseeing private equity portfolios before Boeing. He has an accounting degree, not an engineering degree. Oddly enough the previous CEO did have an aerospace engineering degree but left amidst the 737 MAX crashes. Suggesting the culture of Boeing is eroded from multiple sides..
