I have always been mystified how a kitchen the size of La Lande's has managed without the simple expedient of a nest of modern stainless mixing bowls. (Maria, come back!) They're easy to use, lightweight, a snap to wipe clean and use for something else plus, you guys even have covers! What a concept! You'll never go back to the dark ages! Speaking of Dark Ages and mysteries, I was reading a little about Lancelot's cousins. It seems to be recorded as far back as the sixth or seventh century (l500 yrs. ago, or so) a certain king gave another kingly friend a little Prague Ratter as a gesture of good will and apparently it has been done often subsequent to that. It's said they were also allowed at times to wander kingly tables and test food to be sure it wasn't poisoned as well as being used by common folk to keep the everpresent vermin at bay owing to their great speed and agility like most other terriers. It's pretty well known that Czechoslovakia is not exactly a sub-tropical part of the world and yet this hard-working little guy has borne up under this heavy work load and inhospitable climate for around a millennium and a half. That's a darn long time! All of this without the help of a turquoise blue jumper with black and brown teddies or a tiny tweed coat. That's the mystery. I'm baffled. Dan has a long way to go to catch up with LaLande. Maybe that's why he buys plants in large sizes. But, I think he will be living in his Chateau before he plants fruits and veggies. Of course each year, the trees have to look different and so you mix and match. Sadly I don't have a huge apartment, or huge storage areas, but I do still have LOTS of tubs with themed colours. I envy you with your attic storage. So much easier to pack and retrieve. Go for it Phillip. (PS: I have all black trees... so the colours really pop!)

Oh Stephanie, I love ornamental grasses! Of course you don't want the entire garden full of them but in spurs with other plants, they give such a feather and windswept look.
