- I Raced F1 Driver Lando Norris and Indianapolis 500 Champion Tony Kanaan in the Celebrity Grid of Logitech G Challenge! I would never imagine I`d live the sim racing dream: compete against a Formula 1 driver.
We raced in Assetto Corsa Competizione (although Lando and me race a lot more in iRacing), with the McLaren 720s GT3 at Brands Hatch, Hungaroring and Misano. The setup was fixed and we had inverted grids for the race 2 and 3. Formula 1 Drivers don't have a lot of time to practice so I tried to use this for my advantage!

It's kind of a buzz when a pro is in a session. Raced with Tony Stewart in the iRacing Gen4 cars at Sonoma once and finished better which added to the fun.
Raced in iRacing Trucks at Road Am with Carson Hocevar once and finished 3rd to his 6th there.
My right arm was noticeably longer for a few days from patting myself on the back. 😅

I almost have my first sim racing setup complete. I have the game (GT7, the wheel G923, and the vr (not "needed"), just need the cockpit to mount the wheel on.

Nice man! Misano is tough. Interesting angles on the corners. You looked a lot smoother than Lando. As they say, smooth is fast.
I doubt Lando spent much time practicing for the event 😂

I feel like, even if i know a lot about f1 and am a good simracer (1 second off esports drivers in F1) that i’m not good enough to be a real racing driver. Real racing drivers aren’t as good as esports drivers but are still in real life formula 1, which encourages me that I have the skill to (maybe not the money) but I still feel that esports drivers have a better chance at real life racing and being more successful than I would ever be
Anybody can be good at one thing if it's all you do everyday all day like those enerds.
