    Would love a demo on doing deadlifts on this type of device. I assume its much more lower back friendly than regular barbell deadlifts (because you could use a narrow between-the-legs grip instead of a wider infront-of-the-knees grip)

      Hi :) , on this unit, you could rig it up much like a regular deadlift, using a straight bar cable handle. Like you mention, you could use a narrower grip handle and pull more with your legs. On the original ATX lever belt squat, I like to stick my bum against the plate and hip hinge more, using a narrow row handle, as you mention. I used this method after a hernia op and it was a far more comfortable path back to this style of movement. You can't do quite the same on the newer units. Matt

    Hello, I would like to purchase this type of Belt Squat for my fitness center. I would like to know if the 250kg load capacity is sufficient for an intermediate-advanced person who can handle a load of 150-160kg in the back squat. Thank you very much!

      Hello Gabriel, yes, is the straightforward answer. It's a direct load, unlike the lever units, so 250kg will be 250kg of resistance. I'd also suggest this is all ATX tested it to, as I'd consider the machine will take more. I remember them doing it with their original Bulls Bench and rating it to 500kg. After we used it in a GWR at 505kg, they retested it and gave the bench a new rating of 1000kg. I hope this helps! :) Matt

      @@gym_professor So do you recommend I buy it? Do you think that 250kg of load on this belt squat is enough for a person who lifts 150-160kg in back squat? And are you also saying that I can load more than 250kg?

    Have you guys tried the ATX compact belt squat? If so, which is better? I’m having SUCH a hard time deciding between them

      Hi Andrew, I would choose them in their respective price order...compact 3rd (cheapest), cable 2nd, ATX beast original lever belt squat 1st (most expensive). All are decent though, but the original fairly compact ATX Beast Hip Belt Squat is what I choose to have in our own gym. Matt

      @@andrewnguyen5820 , no, in answering which is better/ best, that's my order. I prefer the Beast out of the 3. All 3 are good and all will last, so choose which one suits your budget and space. It sounds like the cable pulley one is the one you want, which is a very decent unit and will last you well. :) Matt

      @@gym_professor Can you put a few words on why you think the Beast is preferable over the cable one? I would think the vertical 1:1 drive would be the best option? Tank you

      @@jakobkristensen2390 , the build is bigger, but it's primarily due to the feel alone. I prefer the feel of squatting on the Beast model. Both are great, but that's why :) Matt

    Is it possible to squat ATG on this?...looks like you might bottom out...Best, Steve USA

      Yes, perfectly possible. The ring can go to the floor of the platform, so a belt with no chain makes this easily achievable.

    Was excited about it but it looks like range of motion is limited. Guy cant even break parallel

      That's me. I'm choosing to simply squat to that depth. I'd say a lever belt squat is marginally more comfortable below parallel, but a cable belt squat won't be overly comfortable doing so. The pulley can start from the floor, so range-of-motion isn't a problem of the machine. :) Best regards, Matt

      I have one of these and it works great and it's possible to go ass to grass, But i could not do so with the belt that was included because it was to long for me. However with a shorter belt its super
