- We had ticked off incredible Ephesus and the amazing thermal pools at pammukale and we REALLY wanted to make the Turkey Tourist Bucket list a '3 for 3' but Cappadocia had other plans.
In this video we explain what to do in cappadocia when theres no balloons!
To be fair, we DID come to Turkey in the offseason and all the people, both other tourists and locals in Cappadocia were really great.
We just had the unfortunate timing of missing all hot air balloons. We knew that there were hikes through the fairy chimneys too, so all hope was not lost.
What we didn't anticipate was incredible winds whipping up dust that got in our eyes and painted our faces!
All in all, we did have a good time and this video should not be taken as a reflection of the town.
When we're asked what cappadocia is really like our answer is AWESOME!
The timing of our visit just wasn't right, but does give us a great excuse to go back ;)

So my friend and I just did the love/pigeon valley hike a couple months ago, the climb out of the love (white) valley had to be done in a horrible lightning storm, that won’t be forgotten for sure! But it was gorgeous nonetheless!
We found that really dark tunnel and were too chicken to keep going through so we turned around haha.
And our hike took WAY longer than it was suppose to too, we were a full day, but we did explore the castle and took our time with lunch because we were soaked.
Pigeon was so incredible though. You guys really missed the best part. And the doggie at the end! Oh we made friends with the best little black puppy on our walk down into town from our hotel, and would specifically go a certain way bc we’d go by the puppy every time. He was soooo cute! Wish I could share pics of him lol

hopefully we both get to go back one day and have a 'proper' experience with the good weather and hope air balloons!
@@JordanandEmily we actually did get to do the balloons the next day! It was beautiful and magical, you guys really need to go back and do it! It’s really a bucket list thing

Such a shame about the weather and not seeing all the balloons. Love Valley is definitely different but pretty amazing. I think Sarge was the star of the video, what a cutie.xx

I wish you had the opportunity to visit Turkey 10 years ago. Turkey used to be a very beautiful country, but not anymore.
We loved it there, but definitely want to visit in the summer months next time!
@@JordanandEmily There will not be a new summer for Turkey. The only thing to be heard here in the near future is the sounds of guns and bombs.

Turkey best
It really is! we loved every part of it!
Winter is coming. We couldn't see it when we went because of the weather conditions.
It can be a little dissapointing! we were lucky enough to get suprised by some balloons while we were in Pamukkale though!

Ok the snow was kinda awesome. It does look like another planet, like Star Wars (but maybe the adult version 😆) Also are all the random dogs friendly?
😄 it's a pretty cool place! The snow was crazy but now we are in Europe.. hoolllyyy moley.
All animals in Turkey were super friendly and looked after, the stray dogs all had ear tags which signified they have been treated by a vet and had all the medicine they need aaaaand the locals all feed them too. Super well looked after!
