Amber Heard Testifies in Defamation Trial - Johnny Depp v Amber Heard
Actor Johnny Depp is suing ex-wife Amber Heard for $50 million for defamation in connection with Heard’s 2018 Washington Post op-ed, in which she spoke out about being the victim of domestic violence. Heard’s article did not specifically name Depp as her alleged abuser, but according to Depp’s lawsuit, it relied “on the central premise that Ms. Heard was a domestic abuse victim and that Mr. Depp perpetrated domestic violence against her.” Amber Heard is counter-suing Depp for $100 million.
The defamation trial began Monday in Fairfax County Circuit Court in Virginia, with jury selection completing on the same day. Pledge,donation and uses the term buying a home over time that would require a loan which= borrowing 💰. Amber constantly adds more detail to every question asked and when she was asked yes or no indicates she is dishonest in her reply. If Amber didn't want to answer then she would respond I don't understand, what was your question, and again add more details into a simple yes or no question. Liars want to convince people they are not liars which leads to more detail to convince others .
@@grandmaida7819 The fact that she lied does have something to do with the trial. JD’s lawyers are trying to prove that she lied about the DV by showing that she also lied about the donations. If the jury believes she’s lying about the donations they can choose to believe that she’s lying about everything.
@@grandmaida7819 There are multiple reasons why this might be relevant. E.g. consider this: to claim defamation they have to show that her statements in the op-ed are false. Since it's basically impossible to find that out, they have to try other approaches. E.g. they could investigate why she published false statements. If she did so, this can hardly be an accident, both the publishing, but more importantly, the falsity of the statements, as they are implied to be about firsthand experiences. So the question is: "why did she lie?". One possible answer is, to get money out of a divorce settlement. But now she would say, that that can't be the case as she donated the money. And this is where the fact that she didn't donate the money comes in.
And this is not just connected to the op-ed as described above, but getting money out of a divorce settlement also provides intent to manifacture false evidence to be used for said settlement. Such evidence would also be used in this case to show that she's not lying. So showing the intention to get money out of the divorce settlement also enables them to explain where the false evidence comes from, given that she couldn't have known about being sued for defamation.

As a DM survivor, after getting hit in the side of the face, the pain and swelling were so severe that I couldn’t talk or eat for a day after. And no amount of makeup was going to hid that. My eyes were so puffy from crying I could barely open them. But sure Amber, he hit you repeatedly and you went on your merry way to events and photo shoots with no swelling, no cuts from the rings, smiling ear to ear. She is a disgrace to all DV victims. She is an Abuser.

WellJD's right about that--her testimony is a hoax and an insult to the reality of living with DV. Even more cruel, is her tale of being r*p*d with a bottle--then taking a sleeping pill and waking up the next AM to mashed potatoes on the walls. If 1/10 of her assaults were true, she'd had to have had medical attention.
I tried with all i k ew to hide a bruise on my lower jaw, even made up a crazy story- everyone that saw asked "who hit you?" The moment they saw it. She is setting back help for people that are really hit. I no ZERO respect for AH
I’m sorry you went through that. I am a DV survivor as well and these sort of physical fights leave many, many bruises and cuts/scrapes. Also, the majority of cuts sustained in a fight don’t look identical to one another. Each cut is different. Ambers “scars” look identical to each other. That is the evidence of self harm.

@@maddygarcia2543 I caught the last whiff of it but they showed footage of Amber on a tv show after saying she had all these facial injuries & she obviously looked fine, they proved with the evidence she lied about donating the 7 million they showed evidence she had the 7 million 13 months before johnny sued her. they also quoted her from her UK testimony saying she donated all the money.....also showed that she got a medical evaluation saying she was fine after claiming all those injuries.

I agree with your statement on what d.v. victims look like but we cannot despite the verdict assume that she is lying. There are sides to depp that have come out in this trial that show clearly his jealous controlling raging threatening behaviours. As someone who’s been surrounded by addicts and addiction specialists, and having went to school to become an addiction counselor (not finished though), I’ve never heard of horribly abusive, especially sexually abusive, people just magically become all better when sober. Being abusive is character flaw in and of itself, it’s not a side effect of addiction. Aggressive violent people may become MORE aggressive when in active addiction, but it’s pretty unheard of for someone who’s almost never been physically aggressive to become an abusive monster while in active addiction, and then suddenly change back completely while sober. For most people, the real work begins with sobriety. That’s when the character changes start happening slowly over time. It’s not an immediate process, rather it takes a lot work with a sponsor, a program, and therapy. Not to mention a ton of lifestyle changes. Sometimes even medications to treat the underlying disorders that cause irrational violent behavior. But I’ve never seen all of the changes happen immediately.
I actually lived what she's describing. Alcohol, not drugs, flipped some switch in him and he would become, literally, a different person. It was Jekyll and Hyde behavior and it took me a long time to understand it to some degree. However, having been there, I find it even harder to believe what she's saying. I believe she is stealing stories (almost certainly the story of her employee) and borrowing from other tales she's heard or read. None of it rings true.
I feel it hard to believe that she never instigated any anger in him. It can be hard to live with someone with addiction which in this case both did, however she claims to love him and at the same time takes pictures in his vulnerable or lonely moments when he is unaware. Either you help the addict to the extent possible or you leave them. She did not do either of them. She is on a rampage to destroy him and in this also self destruct herself.
My addict ex was magically all better when he wasn't drinking. Everyone said that drunk him was a monster but sober him was wonderful. It was a switch flip.

I would agree with that. My sister was alcoholic, she died in January of liver failure. When she was drunk she was absolutely vile, even sent death threats to family members including myself. She would phone and phone and phone literally every 30 seconds because she wanted to have an argument. She would send hundreds of emails and also texts again 30 seconds apart. The next day she would phone and apologise say she didn’t mean any of it and she was sorry. Thing is though even when she was sober she wasn’t very nice, she’d make nasty spiteful digs, say unkind things which all stemmed basically from jealousy. She tried to have an argument with me once because I could afford to go to the dentist (I worked she didn’t) and she couldn’t. The drink did not change her personality, it just brought it out more and made it far more visible. So my personal experience is that it doesn’t change peoples personality, it just escalates their natural disposition.
Yes and AH has significant addiction issues pertaining to class A and pharmaceutical medications which are being masked by her including she acknowledged using cocaine, MDMA, Adderall, Seroquel, the list goes on. She also has a mental illness so has a concurrent disorder. The research shows that you are twice as likely to be a violent abuser with a concurrent disorder. I worked in addictions for over 30 years as a clinical social worker. I supported users through recovery. Ironically most of my clients were female.

It's so amazing how she has conversations with her husband recorded. Why did she record private conversations? What was the purpose behind it except to try to have something/anything on him, no matter how insignificant? I mean I don't record my and my husbands conversations.
Recording their conversations was suggested to them by a therapist. They would claim one of them said something, and the other would deny it. In California, both parties have to know there are recordings though. Johnny always told Amber, but after a while, she stopped telling him.

AH lawyer just keeps showing zero respect for the judge in my opinion. Like when there's an objection at one point she just says "oh no thats ok" and keeps moving on without waiting for the judge to rule on the objection or when there is a sustained objection she keeps asking the same question over and over leading to a row of objections. She also keeps arguing after the judge ruled something and there are instances where it seems the judge decides something on the bench and she immediately goes against that. Then theres the moving away from the mic while talking and her inability to keep track of the evidence. But the worst to me is all that huffing and puffing when there's an objection, it all seems so unprofessional and disrespectful of a courtroom. At least that's my impression off it when compared to how JD's team is acting.
