I love watching Laura's old recipes!! Well done Laura you've come such a long way and congratulations on your TV show!!!
I made this and it was gone in a flash. My family loved it. Thank you Laura!
I tried this recipe out and it turned out AMAZING! Loved her trick of steaming the clams open separately to ensure zero sand in the pasta. I will definitely be making this again and again! Thank you, Laura!
Linguine with clam chowder
@65buster1 everybody has their own way of cooking and making certain recipes. I do it this way but you can do it however you like. I add a tiny bit of butter at the end to make the sauce a little thicker but that's optional.
Laura, you have no idea how many times i've watched this video! Made it lot of times already!
I just made this dish today and it was amazing. Thank you for sharing this recipe!!
Thank you for this great recipe. When I made this dish, after I dished it into the bowls, I squeezed some fresh lemon and sprinkled parmesan over it. I won't order this out anymore. Had too many bad experiences w/ gritty sand and poor seasoning. Thanks for letting me enjoy this dish again. Your video is great at explaining the hows and whys on doing things.
Thank you for this simple yet amazing recipe! This is one our family’s favorite now!
just made this dish and it turned out soooo good! This will be one of my new favourites thanks !
Making this soon but we usually add the butter in with the liquids before adding in the clams. Than we toss it to make sure it all marries together with the flavors before covering. Looks good.
Agree
OMG I have been watching you for the last 1000 videos or so. I had no idea you did clams and white sauce. It's my all time favorite. I can now die a happy man. (after I cook and eat this of course)
looking forward to trying your approach to this dish...I've had great success with some of your other dishes...thank you.
I've made this dish many times, and it's great. The only thing I do different is no coffee filter, and when the sauce comes together, I add a very little bit of cornstarch slurry to thicken slightly. It makes every bite more favorable, since more of the sauce sticks to your noodles.
saappo nj
Girl you have this down to a science, have made it several times just seem to get better, thanks for sharing
I love this recipe, it's so simple yet tasty! I have made it twice already, and it tastes better than the one I had in a good Italian restaurant, I am so proud of myself... :)
My young daughter's favorite dish I love cooking for them. They love cooking with Dad
@afteil agreed!
I'm addicted to watching your recipes! I can't decide what to make for dinner tomorrow night! Too many delicious choices.
Oh my goodness, this dish is amazing! No gunky, heavy white sauce to overpower the delicate flavor of the clams!! I can hardly wait to try tis delectable dish!
LAURA! It's almost 1 am here in NC...I'm seriously thinking about making this now! lol You're videos make me hungry!! Keep up the great work
Hey Girl, thanks for sharing this recipe. I made this last night (with a couple of twists) and it came out perfect! Your trick to prepping the clams was key, if I didn’t see this I would have been waiting forever for the clams to release the sand. Thanks for sharing 👍
U can use basil too. Instead of parsley. U have to saute garlic, basil, clums. Then wine salt and pepper to taste.
You can also put cilantro or epazote but that's not the recipie
We love the use of fresh clams in this masterpiece of an entree.
Laura's recipe had helped me to pass my final exam! i love you Laura
One of my favorite dishes. Great job.
Looks so delicious. Definitly will try to make it tomorrow.

I live in Naples, Italy now. It sucks but the seafood dishes are awesome. Always!
Laura - Is there anything you can't make in the kitchen?! Love your videos!
Just like you said with seafood. The simpler the better the flavor! Need a piece of good piece of bread to soak up the last of the juice!
Made this bomb amazing recipe last night. Simple and so delicious. Its a another repeater. Make it guys it's so worth it.
Make sure to get extremely freah clams and you'll be all set.

Hi Laura! What can I substitute for the white wine? :) Thanks. Love all your vidsss.
I make it like my Mom, adding in 1/2 c toasted bread crumbs and also a few of anchovies.
awesome recipe!! this is so much a fave of mine that even if I order a different meal in one of my favorite Italian restaurants, I ask for a small side of "spaghetti alla Vongole" at all times. I know ..... even my friends think Im sick. BUT, I followed this recipe to a tee the other night for a group of 5 ( made too little but thats OK), and now they think Im a gourmet cook...laughter.. Thanks for this!
love your stories. I am actually surprising my wife tonight with this dish with a touch of "Angel" me!...to make it mine ;) thank you...You rock it! Angel from the Bay USA

There's something about the sound of the shells clinking against the sides of the pot that just gets my mouth watering . . .
Bravo Laura love your tips!!!
Thanks for the hot pepper flake trick. I'm going to try it tonight.
Thank you pretty one! I totally enjoy your series :-) I like to add some quarter sliced lemons on the side and a little fresh chopped/minced clams too...canned if your in a pinch
I recent;y went to restaurant their linguini n clams had red peppers, purple onions and sliced mushrooms thrown in. They offered marinara on the side, I opted out. IT was so GOOD! Im sure this would taste good with theses additions.
Let me know if you need a food taster. I am a professional eater!
lmfao
😂🤣
Good idea to get the sand out of the clams! God bless you! Thanks!
God bless your grandfather!
Came out great. Thank You.

Those clam shells look delicious!
Looks amazing
i'm going to try this at the thanksgiving dinner potluck! thank you! is using cockles ok?
Hi Laura,
I am wondering if it is possible to do this recipe without wine? thank you!
Your recipe are great
laura love ur great recipes but can u tell me what will be the substitute to white wine as I don't drink or cook my food with alcoholic beverages???
The alcohol evaporates away from the wine as soon as you bring it to a boil and reduce...leaving behind basically just grape juices. Don't worry there is no alcohol in the finished sauce.
WOW!! Not just you, but the food too! Thanks
I was in Naples 2 weeks ago! Very nice place
Nice ..!! Thank you Laura..
i love her personality! :) and i want to try this recipie
Great tip on boiling clams first - i had a lot of sand
3:10 That made me want to cry. Please, do not boil the clams, filtering is enough.
I love trying to cook new things, especially if they're old favorites that I didn't learn back in the day. This looks exciting, and I can't wait to surprise my girlfriend on my next day off. I'm going to have to look at more of your shows and recipes. I love how the dish looked and I can't wait to try it.
I am going to try that tomorrow.
@egluziookas thank you so much! i have no plans of stopping any time soon! :)
I've always wanted to try this
I want to make this tonight, what can I use instead of white wine?
I’m making this for dinner tonight 🤤
Making mine this evening along with a loaf of fresh bread.
gonna cook this tomorrow for new years eve..
How was it?
Looks yummy Luara
It looks good, it sounds good, it may taste good, but not as good as it should, since all the clams flavor was lost in the water you boild them in
Look at 4:16 and listen, she does use this water againg
Casper sanderson Flavor is still lost due to evaporation. She just used another method Tony Russo
Here in Taiwan we use a method to make the clams spit out their sands. First prepare a bowl of water and add one or two tea spoon of salt into it(Like 15 gram per liter water), mix it well then soak your fresh clams into the salt water and wait for about halt to one hour, the clams should spit out their sands through the magic of time if they are still alive. Try this and never lose the beautiful clam juice again!!
But you get the flavour while incorporating the water
Let the clams soak in clean water and leave it overnight, it will spit out all the sand. This work especially if the clams are still alive.
I agree Maestro!
Yummy! Look so delicious
My mouth is watering.
which type of liquid should I use instead of wine?
the tears of every chef in the world for not using wine
Looks delish 😋
absolutely incredible!!
Looks good
Great vid as always!!! Looks awesome!!!!
What kind of white whine did you use?
seriously millenial ? Did you spell wine with an H?
@65buster1
BTW - no butter either. Traditionally in Naples the don't use butter. only olive oil. some people also put some cherry tomatoes in it. both are right. two differnt schools.
I live in Phoenix so the availability at fresh clams is pretty limited. Can I use canned clams?
Yes. And if you can't find canned clams, use little rubber erasers.
My mom is gonna love this
How do you eat the clams and where do you put the shells?
Awesome sauce...
Thank's
Next Food Network Star!!! Thank you, A W E S O M E & Simple Recipe!!! Love it :)
Making this today!!!!!!!!!!!
Grazie!
will white grape juice do as a substitute for white wine?
even thou i know that the alcohol will evaporate first before the water content -_-
Which white wine? Looks so yummy 😁
Favorite food ever !!!!
I love a woman that realizes the importance of a scrubbed clam... especialy during this heat wave...
So perfect. From the clams to Laura
Lol, " My Grandfather would be so proud of me. " I love this line. Haha
