+1 on more TCG content. As a long-time fan of the franchise, I think you'd be able to offer very interesting takes on the game. How do you think it compares to the original japanese tcg, how do you feel about how certain digimon lore gets translated into card effects, top 10 digimon art references... just some ideas that come to mind.
I'm glad the card game rekindled the digimon flame. I'd like to hear your further thoughts going in especially since you're an ex competitive magic player like me. I hope this video gets more people to try it. I was just talking with friends the other day about how the digimon's tcg power creep with each expansion actually makes it easier to get in. With the liberator starter and booster release you can pick up the vortex or puppet overclock archetype decks and jump in with a decent chance to do well.
3:40 Unfortunately, it's downright impossible to get a new anime that's not adventure, the anime rights go to toei and both companies pretty much hate each other so it's highly unlikely they'll collab for a liberators anime. What i'd love to see though would be a Liberators game, that would be dope
For the tcg, an approach you could take that I think isn't very well explored by other digimon tcg youtubers is elements outside of the gameplay. I'd love to hear you gush about your favourite art, how different effects tie into anime/manga references or how this new product is impacting the direction of digimon as a franchise.
I’ve been collecting cards for the game for a couple years now and wanted to play the game and last night with the Liberator Starter decks I got to play the game for the first time. We really had fun with it and it was easy to get into. :)
It was actually while I was listening to one of your Seekers readings that I decided to give the tcg a go about a month ago. It has rekindled my love for digimon, and I couldn't be happier.
I think you should definitely do tcg content, I’ve actually been wishing there were more digimon tcg RUclipsrs. I recently just got into it to and when trying to find videos on anime deck builds or other build that aren’t meta I have a hard time finding them. Like for my first deck I built a royal knights theme a found it super hard to find any current videos. I definitely be interested in seeing themed decks that aren’t from the meta
I'm having a whole reboot of things I loved as a kid, just got really into digimon card game and the latest iteration of beyblade is so unexpectedly fun
I commented on one of your recent vital bracelet videos, but I am happy to see you getting into the TCG! I never grew up with Digimon and with the Vital Brace BE and ghost game being my main exposure to the series outside of your channel, I think I will be giving the TCG a try as my next outlet. I play other TCGs like Pokemon and Cardfight Vanguard, so it looks really neat! My Vital bracelet buddy Sangomon got new evos it looks like and it turns into what looks like the Digimon version of Milotic from pokemon?? That's my favorite pokemon, so I am pretty hype about it... like what are the odds. Looking forward to more content!
As a lone guy on deliveries who only plays Vanguard right now... I feel like you doing the TCG will be an eye opener for those of us who are undecided on making a second TCG focus. I enjoy your voice and content, strongly believe in your work.
I’d be super into seeing what kind of TCG content you’d make! I’ve been wanting to see more live gameplay content, and have been tempted to make my own if I ever had the time to learn how. You’ve actually worked with a friend of mine before (AusTig) who I’ve gotten into playing the game as well. Maybe we can work on some kind of collaboration in the future!
In terms of doing more tcg content, I assume people would be happy to see more videos about what decks you are playing or are interested in, or your general opinions on upcoming cards. Rather than set reviews or analysis.
You'll be pleased to know Nationals for the TCG have always been in Melbourne, you should try it if you'd like to play in a bigger tournament with good prizing and side events
If you can’t have digiMondays you should make and give us digiMondays!!! Would love to see what you’re playing. I’ve been collecting since 1.0 release but I recently got into playing the tcg myself as well so it’s good to see a similar experience!
is why currently i deep into digimon tcg and casual on digimon vpet, since the gameplay really fun and each color had different gameplay and got big brain move and combo too...also agree on physical media.... my current expensive physical card justimon sp and lordknightmon sp lol~
9:37 D*ug dealers. They're kinda like dealers. They give you the first hit free (loan you a deck, teach you to play etc.) and slowly but surely get you hooked. I've had very similar experieneces with TCGs, for me it was Yugioh and point I stopped was when I was told I'd need to spend $150+ for the newest meta relavent card. Collect Digimon tcg and been curious to try playing (though only like 2 places in all of Brisbane that I've found still actively hosting). Still think the cards look cool though 👍
Look up DCGO! They have a bot that is not super great as it plays way too aggressive with big splash plays that give you a ton of memory to work with which is not how it'll work against a human but is still fun to play against to figure out some of your strategies and then you can play against others online via the client!
Ultimately any tcg content is good not just for tcg but Digimon as a whole. We have a bunch of players at my locals who say they got back into Digimon because of the tcg. I know I would watch DCGO gameplay deck profiles and art analysis. As a long time tcg veteran you would also have a unique perspective (this coming from someone who still plays Yu-Gi-Oh).
I really like the Digimon TCG, but I do hope they don't neglect the video game side of things. Also the Digimon Liberator set would have been a perfect time to launch a digital version of the TCG. The comic is about a VR version of the card game, and they have had a tutorial app since the new TCG launched. I'm in the middle of nowhere give me a digital version so I can play.
Since I see you covering Liberators, PLEASE cover the Digimon TCG. Yes, there are people in the niche...but not enough. I'm fine with you making decks that you feel are neat. I love fun decks over meta decks personally. That's why I'm playing the LKM/DKM deck when purple LKM is easily the better variant.
I knew nothing about Digimon but decided to try play the game because of the memory system maybe 2 years ago, now I can't stop building decks and lending them to others to get them into the game
An Anime would have been the better option. I would prefer a game, but they don't last long and therefore would loose it's hype after a few weeks after release. I would have also preferred a Manga but I think they wanted to keep the coloring, since the tcg comes with the essential colors. So webcomic was actually the smartest decision of Bandai to release Liberator. This way it will always get updated for a long time, keep the essential feel of the tcg thanks to the deck colors, give them creative freedom in the art style and might pull in more people. I just hope the tcg will get bigger. It's such a fun and good card game. The only annoying thing at the moment is the huge powercreep were having due to sets getting shot at us in such a short time due to unification with the Japanese format. The next set is already in the making. But I think after that, once the formats are unified, it will be fun for a long time.
I honestly can't really get into the TCG. I'm not into Liberator, tried the tutorial app and lowkey hated the gameplay, and the cards cost more than double if I want to import them... So like, even if I wanted some special sets like I'm used to buy the ones that come with a giant card or a miniature from Pokémon just to collect, I wouldn't be able to do with Digimon, unfortunately.

There is always room for digimon tcg casual content 😂

Digimon tcg one of the best out right now 🙌 and a lot of decks play thematically to how they are in the shows, Mangas and video games

Thank you!
Welcome to the Digimon TCG!
Same quit Magic Arena then Digimon TCG made me play cards again.
More Digimon, more Digimon!
Awww yeah!

Glad you're enjoying the TCG. I'd watch your takes on it. Sorry you got burned by MTG tho #freesplintertwin
Izzet league gang rise up!!! Let’s go Red & Blue the great guild. The great firemind welcomes you.

Congrats its the most fun TCG at the moment gameplay wise IMO, sadly its not as popular as it should be
What kind of deck do you like to play, and what's your favorite digivolution stack to make?
Zephagamon
and also Zephagamon hehe
@@LostinTranslationmon JUST PURE BIG ATTACK

I just wish there was someone near me to play against :( I wish there was an app to play digitial matches
the tcg is awesome its a shame the comunity is kinda dead where i live
Ma’am, the DigiTcg is nowhere near saturated with content creators like other card games. The more the merrier, I’d say👁️👁️
I feel like there's more Digimon TCG content creators than Digimon content creators.
Also I'm a boy :)
Ah yes....10 years ago mtg was amazing 😊
