    The video you've all been asking for! I have been painting dot mandalas for almost 3 years now and have seen all different types if shapes, patterns & techniques. I love mandalas that are all full of dots, but I've also really enjoyed incorporating brush strokes. Brush strokes give the piece a totally different and unique look. I hope this video helps you understand what types of tools, products and techniques you can use to achieve this luscious look!
    Note: This was originally filmed for my Instagram subscribers who pay a monthly fee for info. I have decided to post it for free on RUclips because I feel like it will be helpful to many people! Please no complaining about the video not being landscape. I know it's annoying but it's also really hard for me to manage all of these different platforms so let's just go with the flow
    Please share this video around the dotting community to help anyone who may be looking to learn this technique and also to help my RUclips page grow!

    So happy to see this. I just got my brushes delivered yesterday and I’m excited to try them on my swooshes. This is so helpful even for someone like me who has been dotting for a couple of years. I could never get those swooshes so evenly the way you do so hoping these brushes will help. I was using shorter ones. Thank you Demi for not only sharing your art but you knowledge with us. It’s greatly appreciated.

    I'm jealous. The swooshing is making me nuts. I always use Deco Art Americana. Might be my brush. When use lighter paint on black, the black shows thru. This is beautiful.

    Hi 👋🏾 Demi… thanks ☺️ for uploading this video, it is very detailed and informative!! I would like to ask how to you like to position yourself while creating your large mandalas such as this? I know you said kind of positioning to the right helps with these swooshes. I love 💗 your work and I’ve been so inspired to create this art 🎨!! 🙏🏾💜💯

    Hi Demi… I just came across your very helpful demonstration, so that you for that! I was wondering if hand positioning and wrist movement are important factors in making swooshes. It feels like mine get kind of “stuck” when I get to the curve of the swoosh and that’s where I make a mess 🫤

    Love the tutorial! Learning so much from you!!
    I have a question though::
    You wash your brush and use it again when it’s wet?? Just dip it into the paint and use it again? Don’t you get bubbles on your artwork ??

    I've been practicing the b rush swooshes, and it DOES take some practice to get the feel of the pressure you need. But I'll get it.

    I’m new to dot painting - all I’ve done were a few Christmas ornaments. Wondering what happens to the guide marks - it looks as though they remain somewhat visible on the finished piece.

    Hi Demi, I keep watching this tutorial and try to do what you do. I’ve got the same brushes and paint, I’m practicing, but still the magic is not really happening…. I’ve seen you on patreon, do you go into more depth in your lessons on Patreon in regards to getting these swooshes happening? Is the Patreon a monthly fee? Thanks! Phoenicia

      Yeap, i get the same problem. I added medium to make paint less thick but it didn’t help. Even with minimal pressure my swooshes are “streaky”. 😢
