- VIDEO HIGHLIGHTS: In this video there was a car that stopped past the stop line which caused a turning X37 to block traffic, the car finally moved after a bus operator told her where the line was and she was the one that was supposed to back up.
More highlights include bus 7979 on the B9 school trip, and 7349 on the B9 school trip. 7349 along with the other 7300s that are currently at Ulmer Park depot were originally long time bus loans for the retirement of the RTS's, as the days go on more and more 7300s are sent to Flatbush depot with the result being no more 7300s at Ulmer Park.

Ulmer park: 7349 (B9), 7562 (B64), 2458 (X37), 2415 (X37), 4877 (B64), 2427 (X27), 2459 (Signed as NYCT bus most likely X27), 4870 (B64), 2488 (X27), 7979 (B9)

Major respect to all these bus drivers. Serious skills to be able to turn a bus like that on a dime and hug the curb for dropping off. 👏👏
People are blame the bus operator have no clue how to drive. White lines are placed for specific reasons so buses and trucks can turn. Class D drivers have this sense that they don’t have to stop at that line so now when a truck or bus comes they beep as if it’s the bus or trucks fault.

Let me spell it out for you: unless you’ve driven a bus, you will NEVER understand the size, weight, turning radius, off track, limited views, height, width so whatever comments you make are empty and pointless. This is why I run when I see rental trucks on the road.
I'm a bus operator up here in Indianapolis and I deal with that too sometimes when I'm leaving from Downtown CTC.

The fact that she thinks that a bud is able to just back up AFTER moving past the stop line is insane. So many people shouldn’t have a license.
Been driving a bus here for over 40 years!!! People are mean vicious have no respect for commercial drivers you try driving a 40 foot vehicle in traffic then you’d know how hard it is

Ever since this “vision zero” shit, yes it is! 5 lanes melted into one, cones and flower pots in the middle of the street, cars parked in the middle of the street, and yet people expect the bus on time? Good luck.
@@grazz7865 i like pedestrianization but its to the point where its a bit to much narrowing especially if theres large buses going thru there and heavy traffic
@@843Reboot if everything were equal, we wouldn’t need all this crap. What I’m saying is pedestrians need to watch for cars equally as cars must watch for pedestrians. The way they have it now it’s one sided. EVERYTHING is the cars fault.

I love bringing the bus into people's face, highbeams and all, especially if they are ignorant like that, and I'll gladly sit there, pop the brake and all, until they back up, I got time lol.
I am a retired London UK bus driver and I can well relate to the action in your video. The heavy rain creates so much atmosphere although to be honest I never liked driving in rain, heavy or otherwise.
We see that Everyday in NYC I yelled at a Driver he almost Ran me over
Ex - nyc bus driver ( so you might say , im biased) but some think its cute to challenge a bus! It is not a car yet some think its funny to have it perfomed like a regular car! 🤔
The X37 operator pulled into that stop very smooth. SHe managed to straighten out the bus and drop off passengers near the sidewalk.
Some operators swing half the corner and drop you off halfway in the street.

Road rage in New York City drivers get pissed off automatically
All this “vision zero” shit only caused more road rage then I have ever seen in my life. Driving in the shity was always aggressive but now it’s cut throat. Everyone fighting for what microscopic space is left. Cars and pedestrians fighting more than ever and they wonder why the accidents are up so high?! All these “improvements “ have NOTHING to do with safety. Just to make driving as miserable as possible.

I wonder how that B9 tripper gets back to its regular line…it looks like Run 87 for the B6 (200-399 at Ulmer Park are designated B6 runs).
It basically ends at the last stop of the B9 and instead of taking a right by xaverian highschool onto shore road it takes a left and deadheads back to Ulmer Park
How a lot of school trip runs work in Staten Island (im a Staten Island bus operator) and I’m assuming Brooklyn to is for example that run does 1 round trip on the b6 goes on break for however long does that b9 school trip then goes on another little break then does a trip or 2 on the b6

You get two chances to pass and if you fail, just pay again and you get another two chances. So as bad of a driver as you can be, at some point you will get your license

Buses cannot back up on an intersection. Opposing vehicles must back up for them.

That whole road rage incident was because of that car, the stop line is further back at that specific intersection for the buses to be able to make the turn and the car was stopped past the line.
How was he/she unprofessional here? You expect a 45 foot bus to just back up? They need a lot of space to make turns like that. The white car was in the wrong here
And a lot of people with no common sense where it clearly says “Stop Here On Red Signal” if the person actually
Reads and follows rules that bus would have easily made its turn.
