Something I've noticed about pop culture references and why South park is so good at them, is that they should make you laugh without realising they are a reference at all, I straight up had no idea this was a reference to something until now and that realisation did nothing to ruin the joke for me. Same is the case with the cripple fight referencing 'They live' Now take family guy, when they do a reference most of the time they literally just parrot the original reference with no changes, when I realise a joke in that show is actually a reference, see the original and realised FG made no substantial changes to it, the joke loses its strength.
Actually, this is the second sling blade reference! The first one is in S5:E8, where Cartman says "you shouldn't have done that, he's just a boy". Iirc, he says it a few times

Chuckie Cheeses got closed down because they had the worst imitation pizza ever. Freeze dried cracker crust with catsup sauce and artificial cheese substitute. Even IF they weren't putting old pizzas together those animatronic bands were creeping kids out for years anyways...
