I am thoroughly enjoying this well grounded and rounded narrative campaign. All the battles, including the smaller encounters, feel like they can significantly influence the overall outcome. As a bonus the tabletops and figures are visually stunning. Bravo et Gracias.
An ideal battlefield for the Scots with the Government troops cut-off from supply and reinforcement and forced to attack a position on high ground where the Scottish infantry will have all the advantages. If the Jacobites can't win this than they don;t deserve to win the campaign. It's just a shame that once again the Scots dithered at Newcastle and gave Cumberland time to raise those additional cavalry units. That cost the Scots dearly in the opening skirmish. When fighting an enemy with superior resources the last thing you should do is give them time to gather them.
A full engagement with Cumberland on an open moor..that sounds ominous.

Yes! What he said! Working from home...I think I will take a break and watch a video for a bit today... :)
That small engagement is very nice. The British had some luck leading to their success.
The best performance yet by the Government forces, after some very iffy encounters. Good decision to avoid contacting the Jacobite infantry
Nice one, great summing up..
Another excellent game.
