Thanks for making this video today i trademy old 2015 wrangler with this brand new 2020 recon everything looks perfect can’t wait to go off road next month
So just so we all understand the details, I think the old JK recon package from 2017 had the extra half inch lift height but the current JL doesn't show that in the specs. Also, it sure looks like there is evidence of rubbing tire wear on the inside of the tread pattern on these 35s. Can the experts help us out here?
@@MrTGHOST1 Hi Jeremy. The article you referred to is for a JK not a JK. I have a JLURR also but everything in the owners manual and the Jeep web page shows the height the same as a Rubicon. I like the 35’s you put on your stock wheels although the manufacturer calls for an 8.5 “ wheel. Less chance to loose a bead and better wheel protection with the narrower wheel. Did you have to use spacers for the wheels at all? Any issues rubbing? Thank you again. My Recon changed engine note at about 500 miles. Without going into it on line, if you can , please call me at 949 533-7162. Rick
@@NYArchitectGT You're welcome, same to you, I'd recommend Falken Wildpeak M/T or BFGoodrich Mud-Terrain T/A KM3, those are the best that I know. KO2s are good if you want something even more comfortable, but the Muds look much cooler in my opinion. Duratracs and Nitto Trail Grapplers are good too, but not as good as the Falken or BFG. BFG is probably the best. Actually my profile is a Hellcat, haha. But I will probably be trading in my Grand Cherokee for a 2021 Wrangler 4 door in Hellayella (I need a 4 door vehicle sadly) by the end of this year.

We love it! I'll do a 6k video soon.

Informative video!! What was your reasoning for getting the RECON version versus moding a standard Rubicon?
I wanted the little bit more of the factory lift to fit 35s, the led lights, and the steel bumper with removable stubby.
Did you use wheel spacer in order to keep those beautiful stock rims? If not, did you experience rubbing?
Hello! No spacers. I see that a couple of times their was a little contact with the sway bar released on full articulation. No issues at all though.
Anybody know is this jeep shake on highway at 60mph if we put 22” alloy??
I haven't heard.
Thank you for your review. Just curious, why do you think the Recon has a 1/2” more lift than a Rubicon? I have not found any info on this.
Thank you!
Here is one location. The dealer advised me as well. newatlas.com/jeep-wrangler-rubicon-recon/47758/

Thanks for sharing. Just picked one up, can I thro 35"s on the stock wheels? On the factory wheels. Also, how is ride on street? Thanks Gaby NY
Yes, you're able to use the stock wheels on 35" tires. But you should use 12.50 not 13.50, it's safer.
@@mikeperez5567 thanks Mike. Hope all is well and safe. How is the ride? Recommend a specific brand. Your rubicon looks cool.

@@mikeperez5567 done! Looks amazing
@@NYArchitectGT I went with Razzors 35x12.50. Amazing tires!
Where did you purchase the insulation from?
Insulation?
On the roof? It came with it.
@@MrTGHOST1 yes, on the roof. I’ll have to ask about that. My new rubicon came in yesterday and I’d like to have that on there.
@@tim_brantley the recon edition came with it.
@@tim_brantley congratulations!
4 cylinder turbo? Review it after warranty is off it will be interesting to know what a new turbo cost.
How much is it a monthly
Depends on the package, credit score, and money down or trade in.
