HD version is still processing.. but not much to say about this game. I like it. It's a bit of a mindless shooter with very low difficulty. The game offers you to upgrade your bionicles and make them stronger as well as change their appearance. The only bad part are perhaps the bosses as you're forced to wait way too long for their shield to drop each time you want to damage them. Or maybe I'm just impatient:)
Gotta give composer Ian Livingstone credit for that. He previously worked on Batman Begins video game BTW and then-future LEGO games for years to come.
I have been a fan of the BIONICLE toys and films since day one, and I feel the style really fits into video game form. We have level-based platforming, turn-based RPG combat, and a third-person shooter, among others. I had the unfortunate situation of not having a proper system - other than the Wii - to play these games, and I still - _still_ - missed out. LEGO should revive this series again, but take it back to its roots next time: Lore-heavy stories, Lord Of The Rings-style scores, heavy dark overtones - hey, a fan can dream, right?
I remember my mom went to Blockbuster and rented me agame she thought I'd like, this was when I was like 6. It was this game. I remember thinking, "Bionicles?! That's lame." I didn't even play it until the next day, but once I started it, I played all week. Pretty fun and mindless, so this was perfect for me as a kid.
I have a friend who was *super* into _Bioncle_ back in the day when this game came out. I think he beat it in two days of getting it. 😄 I totally get the "mindless shooter" aspect you mentioned. There's no skill or satisfaction and it more or less feels like a rail shooter with wider tracks. You can also tell this wasn't long after _Lego Star Wars._ The use of the "force powers" to manipulate things really gives off a _"we didn't have time to make new mechanics that fit, so let's go with this"_ vibe. I think another problem with this game is *the tone.* _Bionicle_ was always meant to be Lego's "reverent adventure" line and seeing the Piraka being _goofy_ rather than _menacing_ doesn't really fit the game. The intro sums it up: Speech about saving the island from evil playing over footage of the villains getting slapped around like Looney Tunes. Funny, but not fitting.
Feels like it, but also because it acts as a machine gun so if you miss a shot less damage is lost as opposed to using the grenade launcher or shotgun-like masks
@@longplayarchive I wasn't expecting a reply with the minute 0_0 Also yeah, that seems reasonable. Missing less means more damage. It also seems to pierce multiple small enemies.

I loved this game and I still do, despite its flaws
It has a place in my heart
The music of this game was rather epic.

This game is surprisingly solid, nothing groundbreaking but does what lego game have always done at their core: fun.

1:18 What are you? Are you our saviour?
so beautiful ♥️♥️
Is there a particular reason for using the blue mask the most? Highest dps?
