  • Major Fitness reached out and asked if I'd be willing to test out their Power Rack, and being the nice guy that I am, I agreed! I put this system through the gambit, using it for an entire week's worth of strength training workouts. Here's my review!

    Right on about the ride-on; my old push-behind used to have a self-propelled feature, but that has been inoperable for some time, and when it's hot, dusty, and hilly as my yard is, lawnmowing days are a small workout session in and of themselves! Your new power-rack is awesome, even better than the older cage with it's variety of setups. Back in my last house, I had a modified-Olympic plate "Smith"-cage with some of the features of your new model in the basement, but when we moved, the rack had to get sold (no room). Since then, I've changed over to resistance bands, suspension straps, and a variety of calisthenics, and although I miss the old, more advanced equipment, I think there's still enough versatility with the "low-tech" stuff that I currently use to get meaningful workouts. But bravo to you on the new rack; that "land-mine" attachment is pretty unique and multifaceted for training a number of muscle groups. Great post as always, Gritty, and good luck with the new apparatus!

    Great video. You did an outstanding job demonstrating the capabilities and exercise options. Wow, that was great and helped answer many of the questions I had. Great video!

    Solid Review 👊 Most reviews aren't typically entertaining but you being a man of high integrity proved very entertaining.
    While it's not Berry Compliant it could get a local gym scaled up at a low cost. Thanks for sharing

    I think this is a prerry honest review. I bought one without the cable attachments. It was 270 dollars + shipping on Amazon. Pretty solid. What I love most are the safety bars. I was using a set up without safeties and I was afraid to test my max / go all the way on my sets. Now I have really pushed my limits and my workouts have been pretty good and I'm working with barbell weights above 500 lbs once or twice a week with rack pulls and squats. Solid 💪 - my brother bought one with the cables and told me that they have trouble handling over 200 lbs fyi

    Great video! I was on the fence about getting one, but will probably get it now thanks to your review!
    Maybe a trivial question, but what floor mat are you using? Seems like a perfect fit for this rack. Thanks!

    To get rid of rack SWAY drill into your ceiling rafter and install a hook and then use one of those ratchet tie downs. It gets rid of almost ENTIRE sway! This drove me nuts and plates would be falling off my rack storage. Now its as solid as any gym rack.

    Try twisting the pulley knob left to loosen it and they slid much smoother

    Great review! One question: can you use standard weight plates with this rack? We dont have anything that's Olympic

    • @captiveroots3037
      @captiveroots3037 6 месяцев назад +1

      Ours just arrived today! The weight plates holders have a standard to Olympic adapter sleeve on them. You can loosen with an Allen wrench and slide it right off to use 1 inch weight plates. Then you can use the sleeve to attach a standard 1 inch barbell to the landmine attachment, which is Olympic. Hope this helps someone!

    Major Fitness must've given out 250,000 copies of this rack, based on the number of reviews on YT.

    Is it possible to tell me the height of this rack without the pullup bar? I have a low ceiling with 82 inches total. I was told I can simply attach the pullup bar upside down for clearance. I don't plan on using the pullup. bar. I would really really really appreciate it

    Does using just one side of the cables cut the amount of weight your lifting? If I load 50lbs and only use one handle am I only lifting 25?
