    Dear Squidge & team, what a joy to have you post a video about 7's rugby. Well done & thank you🙏

    Agree with your beginning intro about France. I think Dupont overshadowed how big of a part Timo and Grandidier had on the games. Timo in particular was missing from some pool games, and his impact shone through in the pool matches. Namely his ability to hold onto the ball where his replacement was knocking it on

    The impact of Dupont without being the best player reminds me of the return of Siya Kolisi before the '23 world cup. Was he South Africa's best player? No. Did their game jump up a level once he returned? Absolutely.

    To think this is technically only the second time the Northern Hemisphere wins a big trophy in Rugby after the 2003 WC lol.
    Dupont & that French 7s team were really something special during that Olympic tournament.

    The reason Fiji are just *SO* built for 7s is the way they all play rugby. When I was in Fiji, every village game of rugby they are playing touch but if you get caught with possession of the ball, it is a turnover, so you just see ridiculous offload after ridiculous offload!

    Squidge, I know your focus on this chanel is 15s and breakdown of attack/defense/games of the 15s rugby. I would love to see a similar video for a 7s game or even standout moments of tactics in a series if thats possible/practical.

    re; usa, i thought David Still was super impressive during his short year/year and a half in the sevens program. I think he could make a monstrous return. he is currently playing for Anthem in the MLR

      We are used to it with South Africa, poisoning of the blacks the day before the final, buying of judges and referees, false concussion conventions to rest their players... The absolute antithesis of the values of rugby, frankly there is nothing to be proud of.

      @@MrCravendish a single point by which they lost in front of their home crowd. Now normally I'd have been more charitable. If SA had lost to the all blacks, I'd say "well done mates". But the entitlement of the French (and the Irish) is why I have no sympathy and take great happiness in their misery. The way they felt that they deserved it by divine right... Just because they had the jesus of rugby in Dupont and that it was in France, made my drink every one of their tears.
      Other than that, c'mon guys... It's just a game and in the end, rugby is the winner.

      Sassa fans, beer bellied hoodlums never having set foot on the pitch are an embarrassment to their national teams, and the rugby world in general. kiwis and aussies are embarrassed to be in the same hemisphere. Lose the fat, guy.

    Stopped watching squidge in 2021 when he jumped on the northern hemisphere's let's hate Rassie bandwagon. So my question is...when did squidge get moobs? Jesus wept dude. What did you do to yourself? 😂😂

      Squidge is one of the biggest South African fans what are you even going on about?

    • @08padam
      @08padam 5 месяцев назад +6

      Especially that Rassie’s videos were pretty f*cked up and unworthy of a game where we tend to respect the ref. Making videos for silly mistakes that every ref makes (they are bloody humans) against every team was just ridiculous. 2011-2015 AB didn’t need that to win. He was right to be harsh on Rassie after that, because it was unworthy of the game and the Boks, and remember that Squidge always refused to blame the ref in his videos, so he stayed coherent with Rassie on that topic. But always recognized that he is an amazing coach.

    • @Konst_Abel
      @Konst_Abel 5 месяцев назад

      @@08padam Rassie did what every single pro coach does after a game. He made a detailed video analysis of the officiating for the officials. You can hear him speak directly to Nick Berry in the video. Was the rhetoric he used in the video a bit harsh? Sure, a different debate can be had about that but it should never be forgotten that he pointed out 26 errors from the officials and WR agreed with 23 of them. The fact that the video was leaked was no fault of Rassie.

    • @08padam
      @08padam 5 месяцев назад +9

      @@Konst_Abel not a single coach does that publicly, and never in the world one would publish a video under a fake account on twitter. It was just pathetic. Also because after that all his fan boys went nuts on twitter. Galthié stayed class after the loss against SA in the World Cup, even though some decisions where debatable, but wanted to insist on what France got wrong that day. But he indeed went to O Keef to show him what was wrong in his decisions during the game, but did so privately. Once again, the mighty AB did not need that to win back in the day

      @@08padam what are you missing here buddy? Wasn't meant to be public. The video was leaked. It was investigated and found that Rassie did not leak it. Was a private analysis video that got leaked to the public.
