@@Chroslex Jesus died for your sins and rose from the dead 3 days later so that you may have eternal life, believe in who He is and what He did to be saved
It’s ok to kill enemies by casting stupify 50 times, but putting them down with 1 avada kadavra is unforgivable 😂
I thought using it was a one way ticket to Azkaban. Also, it's stupid that anyone can use it, and that it's not a high level or only dark side ability, only for people like Voldemort, Dubledore, Snape, Lucius, Salazar, and so on. Stupid writing that anyone can use it.
Hehe, i made the likes go to 600
As it turns out, Unforgivable Curses are actually extremely forgivable.
It’s a fairly serious flaw of the game in my opinion
The Unforgivable Curses were already an extremely dumb addition by JKR, because you can achieve everything these curses do (maybe outside of Imperio) by using "regular" spells. And having a "Killing Curse" that's just objectively the best combat spell possible is terrible worldbuilding. This is just the result of actual designers getting their hands on these elements, and having to deal with them somehow.
@@singami465 I like that explanation. Thanks
@@singami465 The only problem is… they DON'T have to deal with it.
It IS a terrible idea as a spell. But a student does not NEED to learn how to do it. Learning about it in class is one thing. But the text also indicated that it required intent as well, so… it doesn’t track IMO.
Basically, both its creation and its use here are bad.
@GZilla311 this. It would make sense if the spell didn't appear at all. A student would not know how to perform the unforgivable curses and school would not teach them. It would make most sense to simply leave them out.
The developers really took inspiration from the books. All of the teachers reactions were delivered.... calmly...

I like how the other professors were shocked to see someone just using Avada Kedavra so casually, but Professor Black was just like: NGL, that was kinda cool, don’t do it again tho.
More like: " be careful, don't let anyone catch you "

I love how in the books it was treated as this big, unforgiveable offense, but here you can straight up murder a child in front of their eyes and everyone's just like "Haha, don't let me catch you doing that again, _you little rascal!"_ and then proceed to do nothing about it lol

Professor's reactions are really realistic in the sense that they speak strongly, but their ultimate actions show they are not getting paid enough for your shenanigans.
Well, Professor Black is, canonically, the worst principal in Hogwarts' extremely long history. He's definitely considered slashing the teachers' salaries at some point in his career.
@@0riginal_zer030did you forget about umbridge?
@@godofscotland3859
True, Umbridge is pretty terrible, but unlike Black, she's not blatantly incompetent and actually exudes authority. She also didn't cancel Quidditch season. Then again, Umbridge wasn't in charge for very long, so I guess we'll never see the full extent of how horrible she would have been.
@@0riginal_zer030 true, however that authority was more of a dictatorship fuelled by oppression of anyone not a pureblood, she also tortured schoolchildren
@@godofscotland3859
Yeah, but the key factors that make Black the worst are:
1. Umbridge didn't get to be in charge for very long.
2. Umbridge actually ACTS like a headmaster (in her own twisted way), while Black could not care less and leaves most, if not all of the decision making to Professor Weasley.
Then again, I guess it boils down to whether you prefer opression or incompetence, which leads to a pretty interesting topic of debate.
Other professors: "I WILL NOT TOLERATE THAT."
Professor Black: I'm impressed.
well Herbology Professor was more or less not about not tolerating it and more worried about the fact you even learned it and Fig is more "lets not practice that spell YET"

The lack of a consequence system is the biggest flaw in this game
But Black’s reaction being all, “OOH nice, watch out tho!” Is just priceless
Definitely puts a bit of a fork in the game for us hardcore fans. I guess they just wanted to give players that option though.
I think it would of worked better if you get "game over" when you are seen casting it. Making it more consequential.
Although, in the books, such spells can be tracked. So even if you were stealthy, someone at the ministry will know. 😬
Rowling probably wrote it all too well to be realistically adapted for a game. 😅
I literally rejected all the curses because I figured there was some sort of "morality" thing... nope....
@@kylei4153 agreed.
I’d also like almost a GTA-Style wanted system where Aurors apparate to you immediately to try to take you to Azkaban and you have to escape but if you kill one or use an unforgivable curse on them then you get super swarmed and immediately taken to Azkaban…
@@kylei4153 They could definitely implement a game over custcene for it, being kicked out of Hogwarts and not allowed to practice magic anymore or something like that. This is a little bit immersion breaking ^^
Not sure if anyone talked about this. But they could’ve done something like Fable/Knights of the Old Republic where your actions have consequences.
You can straight up tell a wizard you aren’t giving the thing they want and it’s like “oh man, that sucks”
And the game carries on like nothing happened.
You can be real asshole in this game but it just seems pointless.
I love Black's reaction. He's the most unpleasant teacher in the game, but after you use killing curse he's the only one who seems to like it :D
I didn't purchased the game yet, but spoilers don't bother me. So I watched some walkthroughs. He comes off as a jerk, "all work, no fun"-type. He also interrupts Ron's ancestor (Professor Weasly) while she talks to the player. Guess uptight manners gone to his head.
he's a harsh but fair headmaster.
@DanielTAKD In the order of the pheonix they do refer to him as "The least popular headmaster that Hogwarts ever had" lol
I love that Avada Kedavra is just mildly frowned upon, when it's basically the wizard equivalent of having an assault weapon in school. Using it really should initiate combat with everyone nearby
lorewise if were to treat this game serious you would be expelled from hogwarts and sent to azkaban, meaning you would have to load an older save, if you use it anywhere outside as long as you dont get caught you should be fine
"Please put that Glock away and get back to work! Stupid boy!"
What if a single use on school grounds that gets you expelled and ends your game? xD
I thought Hogwarts was in Scotland, not Texas.
Yes! Like, if you kick a chicken in Skyrim, everyone tries to kill you. It should be that if you use Dark Spells in Hogwarts, everyone comes after you.
I like how they’re just mildly bothered by it. It’s like if you pulled out a gun in art class and your teacher just said ‘’Please don’t do that’’.

He probably would have done something about it for his own reputation, simply to trick people into believing he's "doing a good job" but, in reality, he doesn't care.
He might have. The reason he does something after Ominis talks with him is due to the influence of Ominis' family. I'd be surprised if the uncle doesn't have a couple connections still at the ministry from his time as an auror to pressure Black into doing something.
Well there’s a difference between using it on a test dummy or goblin vs killing another wizard lol
@@RaveN_EDM
Yeah, knowing how to use an Unforgivable Curse and casting it on a enemy goblin (not a human), let alone one of Ranroks loyalists, in order to save someone’s life, while morally questionable, is still completely justified.
As for if he casts the Cruciatus Curse, that was necessary to get out of the scriptorium alive, it only lasted for a few seconds, and you gave him your consent to let him do that to you. Again, while morally questionable, that action was justified.
The difference is that Sebastian was using the work of Salazar Slytherin and accessing a dangerous relic of dark magic and used it to create and control hordes of Inferi which attacked Ominis and the player and I’m sure that falls into the category of reckless endangerment.
But the real problem is that he used Avada Kedavra on Solomon Sallow, meaning he is charged with both the usage of an Unforgivable Curse on another human being and straight up murder. And since he used the Killing Curse there is no way to justify that action. This obviously wasn’t a mercy killing and you can’t accidentally hit someone with an Unforgivable Curse. He WANTED Solomon to die and did not hesitate to kill him.
Because you have to MEAN to use an Unforgivable Curse on someone, then Sebastian using Avada Kedavra on his uncle instantly marks him as guilty, no question asked.
The Killing Curse can be justified. Such as using it for self defense or a mercy killing. Heck, we see Snape use it on Dumbledore because he asked Snape to do it for the greater good. But in this context, Sebastian using Avada Kedavra on Solomon Sallow cannot be justified.
All the other stuff, using the Imperious Curse on the goblin, using the Cruciatus Curse on you, the dark relic, all that could be passed off as the acts were either consensual, absolutely necessary, resulted in no intended harm done to anyone, or were done for a good reason. While he would get in some trouble with the Ministry of Magic, I doubt he would face punishment.
But using the Killing Curse on his uncle? There’s no way around that. This was MURDER, the desire to have someone dead. Sure, he may have regretted it later, but he still MEANT to do it. All the other times he MEANT use a curse, but for a good reason.
Crucio: It was the only way to escape the scriptorium and he had your consent.
Imperio: He had to save his sister but any other spell would put her at risk. He knew Imperio would work and used it. Not to mention it wasn’t used on a human being.
But Avada Kedavra? Let’s look at the context. He attacked his uncle after he destroyed the dangerous dark relic that Sebastian was recklessly using and then, without hesitation, blasted Solomon with the Killing Curse. This was not in self defense as he struck the first blow at the beginning of the boss fight, this was not in defense of others, and this was not an act of mercy or with consent. He used the spell with a 100% guarantee to end a life on his uncle without hesitation.
This was murder, no matter how you word it.
**Literally Kills someone**
Professor: if you don’t mind, please don’t use dark arts in the castle
As soon as I saw professor Garlick I KNEW she was going to start with: Oh dear…
I would have died if she said "please don't use it on the plants" 😅
Professor Black just strolling and making a lighthearted remark while a student casts the murder curse on another student is hilarious. It reminds me of the South Park episode with the school shootings where nobody cared.

Like painting a single line on a canvas and then being able to waffle for 10 minutes about how it represents climate change. Cha-ching!
Considering all the attention to detail they put in this game, I really thought they would've had a cutscene where you get detention for using this spell.
Detention? For using an Unforgivable? More like Azkaban
@@vexxeryy maybe they do subcontracting for hogwarts detention program when they need give detention for life?
Your character going to Azkaban and then the credits would have been an intriguing notion. It would lend morality and significance to the use of Dark Magic on school grounds.
@@DarkHorseDanny With the amount of copies sold they might consider incorporating that mod that sent you to azkaban if caught after using the curses.
At the same time....a single accidental cast could kill a 100% run, which would be a massive shitshow considering the amount of time needed for that. Unless they implement a respawn mechanic similar to GTA there s no way they are gonna introduce this to the game.

You can slice people in half, burn them to death or transform them into a barrel and smash them to pieces in front of a professor and they don’t bat an eye but if you use the quick, painless killing curse they’re like “WOAH!!”
The thing is these curses are solely meant for a living thing while other spell meant for other stuff when the time they were created.

While other spell primarily used on object / mundane task, altho usage of normal spell on living thing also kinda frowned upon tbf.
@@jps_user20 and, with the unforgivables, you really have to INTEND on killing, torturing, controlling someone, otherwise it doesn't work. Which is why Harry's Crucio on Bellatrix doesn't work in OOTP

@@Sam-yj6cy No, gun would fall into the normal spell category. I kid you not, gun is not supposed to be used to kill human.
A non corrosive poison would be comparable to unforgivable in this case.
You throw the poison to a rock / box or inanimate object, it won't do anything
It's pretty simple to understand: Unforgivable Curses require the caster to commit to the act in such a way that only a psycho/sociopath could. The mere use of those spells implies that the caster is evil to their core, and even if used as a manifestation of anger, as Sebastian did, it slowly leads the caster into an irreversible state of mind where all solutions to any problem are diverted towards evil.
When Sebastian protects his sister using Imperius, he could use any other spell like Depulso. But his mind was corrupted by the power of darkness, and the curse was the only solution that existed in his mind, proving that dark magic blinds the user to any other alternative, in irreversible impulsive reactions.
That is the reason why instead of trying to find a way to convince his uncle, he reacts by killing him, an irreversible action that costs him the love of his own sister, for whom he began his quest.
His lack of empathy pretty much explains why he was able to cast dark magic too.
Every Professor: "Don't do that:
The Headmaster: "lmao nice, just look out around here cuz these nerds love to snitch"
They're surprisingly chill about it lol
Their reactions are so funny. It's as if they are only mildly shocked that murder just happened.
This is why you should include detention, strict house point systems, and askaban in an open world Harry Potter game. Professors shouldn’t tell students casually using one of the 3 unforgivable curses to “not do that again” and walk away. It would also be pretty fun to escape askaban by fighting off dementors if you could manage to get a wand smuggled in or some other way to escape askaban
There could even be a wanted level system like in GTA. Minor transgressions get your house deducted points or give you detention if you are on the Hogwarts grounds, or an owl arrives from the Ministry of Magic to deliver a warning. But if you cause too much trouble, then the ministry sends in the department of magical law enforcement to stop you, starting first with lower level officers like Ron's dad, then it works its way up to dementors, aurors, etc.

I like how most of them just seem slightly annoyed at you for using it but don't really sound surprised you had learned it, the mildest reaction aside from Black being straight up impressed is probably Professor Fig just giving you a suggestion rather than outright telling you to stop.

It's a mod, normally you can't use it on students. Only on the dummies. But I agree that it should give you a Game Over if you get caught with it
''Normal people''? Using Kedavra on anyone leads to Azkaban, lore-wise.
@@cedrichebert9584 think it only leads to azkaban if used on humans
@@cedrichebert9584 how would they find out if you leave no survivors.
they thought about it and clearly said there will be no honor or morality system. Also it's a mod that allows you to do this because you cannot just target any random prof or student with those. The fact they bothered to program a reaction to the curses is itself unexpected from WB as a company
Gotta like the Charms teacher's reaction: "He didn't learn it from ME!!!"
I love how most of them treated you and then professor garlick is just like oh.
Then fig says let’s not do that YET 😂
They're pretty chill with it, for the most part
*Uses "unforgivable curse" in front of professor
Professor: "I think you've rather veered outside of the curriculum"
when you wear pajamas instead of normal clothes: "HOW DARE YOU! CHANGE INTO SCHOOL ROBES IMMEDIATELY!!"
when you cast unforgivable curse: "Don't let me catch doing that again"
To be fair I spent the entire time in pyjamas, and I mostly got praise for it.
theyre pretty chill about it lmao
I love how they just walk past as you absolutely destroy people 💀
2:27
Prof.Shah: "I have no tolerance for the Dark Arts"
ROCKSTAROS: "Eat this!"
As you wish professor
did he just kill the student at 1:50 only for the Prof to "I caution against the use of DArk MAgic" jesus no wonder Voldemort almost took over everything they are passive
if you are wondering why everyone is so calm the last teacher displayed it perfectly
Professor Black was like: Don't let professors see you use this.
Omg Fig. "Let's not travel that path at the moment."
AT THE MOMENT.
I love him.
Your easy to impress dude 😂
Damn I just caught that last bit although I do recall how chill he was about me using them in front of him on our quests tbf I stuck to goblins. Gotta love fig. I mean the man just happened to have polyjuice to impersonate professor black!
1:37 figs encouragement is outstanding 😂
I personally like Black's line, "Interesting display! I should be a bit more careful about using such magic in the castle if I were you." 😳😈🤣
I find it very suspicious how Professor Black doesn’t really disapprove of using the spell, he just says “interesting display”
I find it funny how professor Black is so chill about it
okay normally I hate Professor Black but I absolutely love that his reaction is sort of "good job but keep it down". hilarious but still in character
Anyone else soak up the short amount of time disguised as Headmaster Black?? I love how you can go to the front of the Great Hall and proudly exclaim that your House’s colors hang from the ceilings😂
Yeah, that was funny
I like how everyone was like don’t do that and Black was like “good job bro”
"Lol watch me using a killing curse"
"Son, I'm already dead, it's not all that bad in all honesty"
1:31: "But you just told me to practice a new spell on a training dummy!"
I like how professor Black does not care. He like “bro get tf outa the castle when you’re using that spell”
The sound effects are sooooo gooood
I'm so intrigued by that cliff hanger end and the state of professor shah. 😄
Game: "I have no tolerance for the Dark Arts!"
Me: What are you gonna do? Change the Story?
Game: ...fair point.
Lol Everyone was like, "How dare you do that!? Don't do that again pls." Except Black, who was like, "Pls be careful in the castle... Cool spell tho" And Fig, who literally was like, "Ugh, you couldn't wait until AFTER I'm no longer your teacher???"
Gotta love fig he's got the mischievous grandpa vibe
@@madeleine5561fr. RIP legend.
@@TheHalfBloodPrincess. I'm not bitter about his death. Not at all. (Aggressively searches fix it fanfiction)
Bro Weasley was so chill about it
Literally kills a student in front of him.
Professor Black: Impressive.
Props to developers for giving these extra reaction voicelines in case someone using mods in the game, since normally you can never ever cast that 3 spells inside the school in the first place 👏🏻👏🏻
You can on training dummy's... which he is doing...
@@WorkJoker oh right how foolish of me, some of them by practicing on dummy. But then again, you know that not all of them are available in normal way right, you can clearly see in that video that they use avada kedavra on student which is can only be done with mods 🤔
@@Zaris77 Not to mention by the time you'll acquire the unforgivable spell, some classes will be already done.
I’m guessing they added lines for every professor to cover all basis and it was only decided later which would have training dummies, which would be before unlocking unforgivables etc. Still a nice Easter egg to find nonetheless
what you saying?? Mods ,fan game, old harry potter games have KARMA SYSTEM,why that game no? so lazy devs ...
And this just proves that Sebastian isn't in trouble as much as they want us to believe he should be in if we base it on Prof. Black's response lol.
I mean the entire country side is quite literally crawling with murderers theives and brigands and the ministry/hogwarts is doing fuck all about it. The wizarding world is basically a dystopia.
They seem pretty chill about it
