Back to normal for foreigners from January 8th no more quarantine and no more mask wearing and from August 30th nore covid and RAT test enter to China normally. Reopen the 144 hours visa free from your home country and then after 6 days can go to Southeast Asia, HK, Macau, Australia, New Zealand, Fjji, Korea, Japan and Taiwan have a good trip (not round trip back to your own country).

The process in SH is the same: Arrival, fingerprint machines, immigration (need to have filled out arrivals card with you), baggage belt, to city center by public transport (subway line 2 or maglev or bus) or a taxi. Just make sure you have your destination address in Chinese with you, since most people in China don't speak English. Payments by AliPay or Cash. Visa or MasterCard etc. are nearly never accepted in China (only large hotels).

Beijing Metro was amazing when I visited. Efficient, clean and quiet. Everything the dirty London Underground isn't. The London Underground doesn't even support mobile networks!

I will be arriving at 1AM and I was wondering if there are any trains operating at terminal 3 that can take me to the City center. Initially, I planned on staying at the airport until 6am, but upon watching your video, I couldn't locate any place or couch after going through immigration or even Cafe. Thanks!
is there coffee shop open at the exit around 1-5 am? also, is there a bus going to the city center around 2am? i bet taxi is expensive for that time.@@松珈民
Hi. how long is the immigration process and then, we are going to enter China 2x with a double entry visa. Do we need to scan finger prints again if entering Beijing (for 2nd entry?) The 1st entry wil be in Shanghai. Thanks

Better grab a taxi to city center or find a nearby hotel around the airport (bet there are many), as train operation would terminate that time already

Consider a domestic flight. AIr China has non-stop flights from both Beijing Capital and Beijing Daxing to Qiqihar Sanjiazi Airport (NDG)
