The safest approach I feel to tackle it is to diversify investments. By spreading investments across different asset classes, like bonds, real estate, and international stocks, they can reduce the impact of a market meltdown. it's important to seek the guidance of an expert.

I’ve been using FSD for a couple years. While there have been incremental improvements, in my opinion FSD has a LONG way to go before it is safe for city driving. I would be happily surprised if FSD made a major advancement in the next few years, but I’m not holding my breath. Aside from operating at a marginally adequate level, it is currently more likely to insite road rage from other drivers.

A car with classic buttons and dials would be way more expensive to produce, moreover Tesla needs to design these parts that they’ve never made (they bought them for the early S/X) for their cars. The 48 V system will reduce the costs for wiring a lot. Maybe they will also go for 800 V for the battery and drive units.
The Gigapress will be the key element for a cheaper and smaller Tesla Model 2. Tesla will offer new models like a van or bus. The market for Model S & X is smaller, than for Model 3 & Y. They really need a $20.000 Tesla vehicle.

Some of the the things you've proposed as cost cutting measures would counterintuitively increase manufacturing and sourcing costs. Specifically: Steering Wheel stalks and gauge clusters. We've seen other car companies switch from from having physical control objects like these to screens and ever smaller buttons where possible largely to reduce manufacturing costs. Tesla is no exception.

  • @user--PM
    @user--PM 19 дней назад +2

i would prefer to have the turn signal stalk vs the current buttons on steering wheel, otherwise i will take the least expensive option of any of the mentions, i like the screen, but dont need the fsd expensive computer, dumb cruse is all i care about, and the adaptive cruse with it's phantom braking leaves me with just driving myself 99% of the time.
i love my model 3 rwd, but not everyone can get behind the cost of one, so was really hoping for the 25k tesla to become a reality, instead it appears we are not going to be getting it sooner, and maybe even not later?? guess on 8/8 we shall find out which.

If Tesla truly thought that autonomy was the only way forward, why would they make a sports version of any of their models.? Why would they make a sports car?
The reason why they will always make sports models of family cars, and dedicated sports cars is because humans like to drive. Let me repeat that, humans like to drive. It’s what we call fun. Pilots like to fly without the auto pilot. It has its place, when you’re fatigued and or tired, but not always

Musk did say that it would be a long ramp, due to all the new technology at once. Maybe that's also why Tesla isn't going for unboxed in one go, and instead smaller steps. I suspect that CyberTruck will (rightly) be a bit slow back burner, while cheaper models, Semi and maybe better autonomy come online, but that some aspects like 48V or steer by wire or Ethernet might come over to the new or existing models, as part of the cost cutting.
CyberTruck was frankly a bit aside from Tesla's stated mission, and is probably part of why they're in difficulty now, having spent so much effort for so long on that one less mission critical vehicle, instead of continuing down the price ladder as per original stated plan.

We had a Tesla Demo model Y this weekend. I think it's already made as cheap as it can be. There's absolutely nothing in it but one tablet. Full self-driving will just get cheaper and cheaper. I'd say it'll be 20 bucks a month in the next 10-15 years. Self-Driving is basically pretty much there. It I only acted strange twice in a 4-Hour journey over interstates through cities in small towns and back roads in parking lots at stop lights Even then it was probably user error because at times something driving for you is a little scary and you end up grabbing the wheel Even when you don't need to. I'd say they can do it in 3 to 5 years. Has a 40-year-old that has seen luxury automobiles. It just doesn't fill like a luxury automobile at all. It's very very minimalistic. Maybe this generation's idea of luxury is different than mine. I see. China's BYD gaining access to the United States after their Mexico plant is up and going and flooding our market with cheap 10 to $20,000 electric vehicles. Automobile companies will be forced out of business and it'll be pointless to bail them out. Tesla seems to be going towards more software AI related ventures after he came back from China it seems like he knows he has to change and he's changing everything. It's almost like it's out of fear.

Tesla hasn’t changed. It’s goals spelled out in its “Master Plan” are the same as they were a decade ago. Minor changes in its implementation strategy is happening (and should) because of external economics, Inflation, interest rates, and potential severe recession. When it aborts or when the driver quickly takes it out of assisted self-driving mode, the car askes, "What happened?" from the driver ... that information and camera information go, I assume, back to Tesla to support improvements. Seems it should also go to the state's DOT as input to improve the roads so that the assisted self-driving cars don't get confused. There should be teams of DOT engineers redesigning roads FOR SELF-DRIVING cars, not just for cars with drivers. Probably a lot of low-cost things that could be done help this transition. Probably, should also be rapid response teams to correct locations where common self-driving aborts occur ... they have this for other types of safety situations.

Elon; I see mainly 3 types of vehicles. a) sm Japanese cars b) pickup trks c) German luxury cars. German car owners I believe are your best target demographic. Yes, German cars have leather interiors w/ walnut veneers and the doors thump when closed. But, the cars are bought for exclusivity and their owners rarely exceed the speed limit. You must remind buyers that German quality is in decline with hot vee issues, timing chains near the transmission, serious oil leaks and massive maint costs with limited service centers. German car owners are the most susceptible to separation by a new world class car, with luxury interiors, superior fit and finish, safety technology and improving battery technology. PS. I loved the new solar roof on your website. Try making a designer edition for the ladies.

Totally autonomous FSD where parents could have the car take their kids places would be world changing. Kids should not be expected to up to parking lot situation with adults. There was idea of intelligent highways since the 1950s in the USA where the highway aids to help a self driving car. Those early system were looking at some type of central traffic control that was extremely complex. Today the individual car is autonomous. It would seem new highway aids could be installed to greatly assist self driving vehicles.
Tesla yoke steering wheel works when using drive by wire steering where the steering ratio changes greatly allowing 360° lock-to-lock steering. That appears to be the goal. With that steering the driver is only slightly starting to cross their arms when at extremes of the steering yoke limits with never going hand-over-hand. F1 drivers to this. A steering wheel still gives more hand placement options than a yoke and is faster to grab if the vehicle is jarred temporality throwing the drives arms and hands a stray or when its dark in an emergency.

The most important thing about Twitter was that it had people who fuck the bots and tried to keep the discussions, rational. Elon the destroyer fired all those people and, look how good Twitter has turned out! Now, the most important thing about a Tesla is not full self driving rather it’s the charging network and what has Elon the destroyer done he has fired all the people who built the charging network. Self driving the car has some battery to use it. Self driving I don’t think will ever work to the point that it doesn’t kill people, but it is an unimpeachable fact that a Tesla without a battery isn’t going anywhere. All hail, Elon, the destroyer! We are sorry that we didn’t give you the $57 billion! Please forgive us!

2024. Tesla laid off thousands of workers. People trading their electric cars are not buying another electric car. The infrastructure for electric cars is not being maintained and it definitely is not expanding.
The economy is collapsing. Tesla has dropped their plan to make and sell the low cost Tesla model. Cyber Truck production has halted. All Cyber Trucks have been recalled. The company lost thirty percent of its value in the first quarter of the year. How can you believe that Tesla will be doing better?

      1. All big companies have layoffs…restructure for next growth phase
      2. Tesla owners are loyal…surveys show over 70% of them buy another tesla…don’t confuse other EVs with tesla
      3. lol Tesla has grown its charging network over 30% each year since 2020…maybe look at a tesla charging network map…its the reason every other EV company has signed on to use Teslas network…most reliable one out there
      4. Economy’s doing fine and always bounces back
      5. Tesla has not dropped plans to make low cost model…they actually announced they are accelerating their plans to make it…maybe listen to last earnings call instead of listening to BS news in Reuters?
      6. Every car company has recalls, they put one screw into pedal to fix the issue. Cyber Trucks are selling like hotcakes with a year long waitlist
      7. You’re worried about one quarter when it’s up 1000% in the last 5 years. If you believe in tesla and the stock it’s long term play.
Tesla is going to win majority of autonomous driving market which is pure profit from a software push. It has the only scalable affordable option for this. Will dominate more with robotaxis.

Where have you been with all the changes in the past couple years with Elon as a whole?. Maybe look at what has gone by, by on the assembly lines worldwide for tesla and look forward to lower costs and not backwards adding costs back in?, like stocks and screens, LOL you make me questions your understanding, your end with the cyber truck stuff, well just add that higher voltage to the 3 and Y and that then reduces costs more for those models and moved things forward in the company’s obvious direction of investment and performance. Note I have viewed your you tube for much of its time, though you have voice of a perspective, its sounding stuck in the past in this video, my comments here comes from your comments or your words that are completely backwards to what tesla has proven looking forward, your hope of looking back to a physical blinker stock adds cost, adding a center display behind the steering wheel adds cost, not to say moves a drivers eyes down wards that adds more dangers, LOL and complications, all that said you should take off your new blinders. Hope that refection helps you see a little more clearly what this quarterly reports has and not through whatever you’re newly looking at, you almost had it with the AI part but your overshadowing off old tech seems to make in null in your video. Good luck next time, hope you try again.

So with all due respect, I want more tech, not less, and so here’s the thing, Tesla does not have to be like any other car company, because the rest of the car companies are trying to be like Tesla.
So Tesla is the leading electric/tech/A.I. company for a whole lot of reasons, not the least of which, they’re innovators/disruptors of traditional industry companies that are still using 20th century methods, and practices.
So when you’re the leader, you don’t look around, and say, let me copy something the other guys are doing, as that wouldn’t make a whole lot of sense, and so no, you don’t do that, you continue to lead, because remember the ultimate goal is to drive down these horrible numbers of people that are killed on our nations highways every single year, and no one has proposed a way to deal with that until now.
So Tesla has envision the future where humans are no longer driving their cars, because their cars are the robots, and they’re fully capable of driving you, in other words, hauling ass, hauling cargo, and doing just about everything else in between, including taking the products from the truck, and putting it on the shelf, thus freeing up humans to do other things that doesn’t require precise repetitive actions.
So think about what you would use a humanoid bipedal, robot, like Tesla Optimus robot for, and so I know what I would use one for, it would be to do all the household chores that I never wanted to do, such as laundry, vacuuming/mopping floors, making up beds etc.
So how long will it be before Optimus is working and assisting police officers? How long will it be before Optimus is working and helping firefighters? How long will it be before Optimus is working in the military assisting soldiers? How long will it be before Optimus is working in hospitals, assisting doctors, and nurses and other staff employees do their job? How long will it be before Optimus is used by private security firms to guard factories both inside and outside?
So as you can see the market potential for the Optimus robot or robots in general are growing exponentially everyday, and so the possibilities are unlimited, as A.I. promises us the opportunity to go where no one has ever gone before, whether it’s to the deepest depth of the oceans or ti the farthest reaches of our solar system, Optimus will have no limits, as to where it can go, and what it can do, when it gets to where it’s going.
So imagine Iron Man, but not with a human inside of a metal suit, but an Optimus robot that’s actually the Iron Man who can fly at great speeds like Superman, with great superhuman strength that can lift an Army tank, and toss it around like toothpicks, imagine what that’s going to mean, because someday, that’s going to happen.
So again, A.I. promises a whole new range of possibilities of things that we can only dream about, because if we’re going to go to Mars, I do not think humans will be the first to go, because that would make no sense, because essentially you’d be asking someone to risk their lives in what would pretty much be a one-way trip, but a humanoid bipedal robot could make that trip, and stay there or return because it doesn’t need the life support things that humans need, such as air, food or water, and so it can travel at whatever speeds we can push a hollow tube, because there’s no atmosphere in space, so theoretically, we can fly at speeds greater than the speed of light.
So I am no physicists, and I am not someone who is trained in the science of Space, expiration, advance propulsion systems, etc., but I think we’re gonna need an advance propulsion system, that can propel an object to at least the speed of light, which we have not done at this point, in our evolution, but we have traveled at the speed of sound, so if we’re going to travel to some of these places, humans will not survive such a journey in my opinion, but a robot can, and so I think that’s the way we go to all these other planets at least until we can figure out how a human can survive traveling at the speed of light, and so while we’re working on that, my immediate concern are, that I want more tech in my cars, and trucks, not less. Cheers 🥂
