Good video and awesome set up. I have quite a few Jessem products and they are always out standing, high quality. Sorry, but I kind of snickered, seeing the Jessem set up, outstanding, and then "yellow" bits. Hey, they work :)
i'm buiding a new router table to replace an old veritas unit. i'm using jessem components, top, fence and lift) and i'm considering the miter slide. what are your thoughts on the miter slide? particularly for the coping cuts for doors
I like their miter slide very much, it is very well designed and works flawlessly. I always use it while making doors. I can recommend it. But if you are going to use it sporadically, perhaps a miter gauge from your table saw could be enough.
@@RadeksWorkshop thanks for the reply. i just ordered the miter slide! might even be here today! love this jessem stuff, i had a tour of their factory last month in new brunswick canada, great place, great people and great products
@@stevem268 Sure thing man. I am jealous, would love to visit their factory too, but am way too far now. Enjoy the new tool, I have a feeling you gonna love it.
@@RadeksWorkshop using the new router table for the first time, love it! yeah new brunswick canada is a long way for me too, but i grew up there so we visit every year. it's about 1800 km from where we are in ontario
Thank you David and congratulations. It's the dream setup for a router. I just made my cabinet same size as the table top and height is just enough to house my router. I have Porter Cable in there.
3:25 Just wondering...could you have put a sacrificial board to the right side of your workpiece board to remove that blow out you had on your workpiece?
Do you have a video on installing your TA fence to the top I actually am putting mine together right now and want to make sure I’m zeroing and centering my fence correctly
Nice video. I have the same table and looking to add the MITE-R-SLIDE II to my table. question: How do you like the fence micro adjustment? Do you use it frequently, would you buy it again??
You should try to rout the end grain pieces first (with a backer board) so you'll get rid of most of the blowout when you rout the long grain sides second. Love your set-up. I'm thinking of purchasing that Jess Em package but it's pricey. Do you think it's worth the cost?
Thank you for the tip. I did not care for a blowout because after the routing I took those boards to the table saw to give them final width (from 74mm to 65). I think this is the best router table setup available on the market. It makes the job easy and fast while very precise and repeatable. If you can afford it or if you're a pro who makes a living on woodworking I think it is worth it.
Did you look at the Mite-R-Slide as well when you purchased the Mite-R-Slide II ? Is there a reason that you went with the one rather than the other? I'd be very interested in your thoughts if you have experience with both.
Hi, thank you for watching and your comment. Mite-R-Slide is more expensive but looks nicer IMO, however it is a matter of compatibility. It was made for Mast-R-Fence and I have TA Fence. So I had to get Mite-R-Slide II
The thing is that Instagram likes it vertical and when I post it there, 10 thousand people will see it in a day or two. When I post it on YT, year later it has 726 views.
Bearing is obviously proud of the fence and that is irrelevant. Anyone who actually knows what they are talking about would have recognized that. Comments like yours are not helpful.

Definitely not the best bits out there, however in terms of a price to quality ratio, they are a great deal.

clearly there were router bits used.... would have loved to known which ones. Many of us are new to all of this stuff.
They are shaker style bits kit from Yonico
Nice...your setup inspired me..I bought one today..I want to build your cabinet..would you share your cabinet measurements with me?

Good suggestion, thank you. I usually do, but when you try to focus on filming - woodworking suffers ;-)
Man that's what you call a great fit, nicely done radek cool video man
Thanks a lot buddy

No, sorry. Never made that one. But I'm sure you'll manage.
Great test video ! Nice and accurate router fence !!
Thank you, I believe it's the most advanced router table set up on the market today
Great job! It looks like your insert rings are metal? did you have them made?
Thank you. It's some kind of hard plastic and it can be bought from JessEm lie the rest of the setup.

Thank you. It is very well made, very precise but I don't use it much to be honest.

Agreed, it is best to do the end grain first, for as you said, fix any blowout. Has always worked well for me.

Great Work!! Did you build your own cabinet for your router table? If you did, did you do a video on it?
Thank you very much. Yeah, I have done it myself. I posted several videos on my Instagram account from that build. My handle is Radeksworkshop

I do like me some shaker style doors 👊🏻
My favorite style, I'm not into too much ornaments

Great video. Get rid of the dumb music please.
Shaker style doors made with shaker style witchcraft.

How did the panel fit after your first rail drifted off the fence I wonder... After that malfunction I stopped watching...
